- Here is my review of Creed III--the third Creed movie and ninth film in the Rocky franchise. Michael B. Jordan stars as Adonis Creed with Jonathan Majors entering the ring as Damian Anderson.
Adonis has been thriving in both his career and family life, but when a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy resurfaces, the face-off is more than just a fight (IMDb).

@@wausjackbauer128 definitely,👍🏻💯 it's what I said after I saw it. Forced..forced is an understatement. I don't care for Micheal Jordan anyway. Every movie he's in, he's basically playing himself. I don't think he's a great actor, but besides that. The movie was too pristine. I'll have to see it again, maybe I'll have a different opinion, but I doubt it.
@@ProfessorKennethFirst time I’ve heard that. Killmonger & Oscar & Jamal & Adonis are 4 totally different characters he acted in and they were all totally different. Seems like you’ve only watched him in one series

Yeah man. Agree. Just saw it. Ended up being unnecessary. Weak third act was rushed. Without giving anything away, there was an unnecessary situation that seemed like it was intended for Adonis's character development but then the script/direction did nothing with that moment. The training montage sucked. They barely used the main Creed theme too. The more I thought about the movie after it ended, the more it didn't make sense.

I think its better than 2. It was the most enjoyable movie it just had a few flaws but it didn't take away from the overall experience for me

A HUGE turnoff for me is the broadcasting in the creed series.. a sports game commentary is far more exciting compared especially to creed 3 which was laughably bad

The last Fighting Scene was horrible with all the Imaginary Sh*t of People disappearing then Jail Cell and Fight os over after all that Theatrical bullsh*t

Out of all the reviews I have heard most are very good but it seems like people wanted the movie to be longer
I agree with this review. I'll add that I wished the Majors character was the main character of the movie, because I found his motivations to make more sense than Creed's. It would have been great to make the audience wonder who is the main character, and to lean more toward the Majors character. It would have made the ending sadder, but more impactful. Of course that was not something that could have been done since this is the Creed franchise. But I find it odd that this is the second movie in a row where Adonis' story is not as interesting as his opponent 's.
this movie felt rushed, no emotional feeling to this movie, wouldn't watch it again, i honestly feel like this movie should have been a 2 part movie with adonis losing at the end, losing his mind pushing his family away going into a real dark place where only he himself can get himself out in the next movie and coming back and taking the throne.
I've heard people on the same boat as you saying it's solid but not as good as it should have been but majority says it's better than Creed II which I think is underrated. I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping to love the film and won't be disappointed. I'm one of those people who prefers Creed over Rocky. I know Mama's Geeky literally gave this film straight 5-stars but this is coming from the same person who hated RRR.
I'm one of the few ppl that enjoyed Creed 2 and didn't like Creed 1 as much as everyone else
One thing I didnt like was Dame getting a legit title shot after being 1-0. An exhibition maybe but not a real title bout. This would never happen.
This movie tried so hard to make Adonis seem like the underdog but he just wasn't. Jonathan Major's character had no chance of beating a recently retired world champion boxer. I don't care how much he used to beat him 20+ years ago, doesn't matter. He barely won against the Spanish guy, he had to cheat the entire fight. That's where the movie failed, there were just no real stakes here. Even by some crazy chance in hell Jonathan Major's character won...so what? Adonis is still rich and famous with his family. There was nothing at stake but his ego. The other movies...he NEEDED to fight, he needed to win but here its just all so forced.
Cant believe how Tommy Gun was a more developed character than Damion played by Jonathan fking Mayors....

It all felt Silly and unrealistic to me. I mean, the guy facing the champ gets attacked on his hand? What??? No one wants to fight the champ??? What??? Creed just hand picks his BFF Champs opponent??? Majors gets booed by the crowd. Then he cheats and becomes champ? Then Creed goes on a talk show to... Do something and then the Champ calls in and Creeds all like "lets fight". Ugh. The whole "its my plan to get hit" lines? Ugh. The Announcers that go from Creed-is-the-best to Creed-is-too-old? KO is the last round?
None of it really worked. Oh gee, Mama had a stroke, I bet she will be fine. Lets set the daughter up for a future sequel as a deaf boxer.
I didnt feel like there was a single genuine moment in the film. I didnt believe any of it.

Yea, I thought the movie took the joy out of the these movie. Creed 1 and 2 had that old school feel that made you joyful. This one made me feel kinda sad actually

I wonder what's gonna be the best movie of March 2023 if Creed III didn't live up to expectations. Scream VI is my most anticipated movie coming into the month although I heard people saw the leaks and said the Ghostface killer was nothing different even if he was promoted to be different from other killers and had motivations being very similar to one of the previous Scream sequels so I'm worried that might affect what people will say about the movie. Maybe they'll like the movie but dislike the twist. People will say John Wick 4 is gonna be the movie of the month but it might get criticized for its nearly 3-hour runtime (I hope not). Shazam 2 looks better than the first in my opinion but I have no idea what the reviews will look like I hope it's positive though. Dungeons & Dragons will most likely tank with critics and box office numbers. It looks decent in my opinion but I can already see it getting panned by critics.
It was best Creed movie! The only negative was the choice of music for certain scenes.
Bruh! The Theatrical last Fight was horrible and when they finally stop using CGI then Boom! The Fight is over,I could never get into the Fight because it felt like an Anime with People disappearing to Imaginary Jail Cell 😩the Movie could’ve been better oh and earlier how you going to set up a fight for your old Friend hen hate him because he KO your Fighter,I couldn’t relate to the Anger Creed felt when he looked at him🤷🏾♂️

He wasn’t a villain, he was someone who was trying to make it but Adonis was just hating on his boy who wanted this before he got kicked up. Damian saved Adonis life when they was kids. Damian didn’t want a hand from Adonis, he just wanted a shot like Adonish got his shot and the handout by Rocky. Adonis was just a hypocrite and jealous of his boy wanting to make his dream come true since he was a kid.
