- just a couple of cold starts. they really bring out the great sound of the turbo diesel. jeep starts good but under 10 required some fuel pedal to be applied. held high for a min or two to idle smooth.

That thing is bad ass! Going to be doing a similar swap in my comanche this summer.

Agree, please post some videos... even if you just run a camera in time-lapse mode (off to the side) and narrate it later... this would be better than nothing.

I have an 81 CJ, OM617 enameled to AMC Blue, done right... Setting on 37's. It fires up in two rotations on a 10 degree morning. It'll roll coal if I put the fuel to it at low R's.
Mine fired right up when i first did the swap. Then didnt. Then i replaced the lift and primer pump. Then its fires right up like new. Great engines if maintained correctly.

Are you using any parts of the stock wiring harness? If so which parts are stock and what needed to be added to it in order to make the engine run/turn off/ run the alternator? Did you use the Mercedes harness and somehow splice the 2 together? I feel like that might just be half the headache of the whole swap

How are the Mercedes 4x4 parts holding up I heard lots of people complaining?
They are all holding up great. I think most people actually install them wrong. Someone posted about how bad there were on a facebook group and they made allot of mistakes and did things wrong. Then complained about the “junk” not working. I think mercedes diesel stuff gets a bad rep because the directions they send are SHIT.

Sal reyes thank you. It comes slow. But it will keep coming. Have so much filmed this summer that i need to edit. Work. Fathering and a beautiful summer kept my away from the laptop. I really appreciate the compliment. It makes my day. Im going to address waht i think the MD4x4 parts in a future video. Trying to motivate kirk to start his off road project also.
