I had to stop watching for just a second when you mentioned about a “friend” who said wouldn’t you like to be naturally beautiful. I can see that it still resonates with you. She was either jealous or just meant that we all need a little makeup to look a bit better. I think you are very beautiful and I know you weren’t “fishing” for compliments when you told that story. The lord truly shines in you and that beauty is evident both inside and out.

I had to stop the video there too and rewind to make sure I heard her right. Kristen, I am so sorry that you've carried that little thorn with you, I am sure your husband has tried endlessly to pluck it out for you....but it never really goes away. It's because of our fallen culture. I have always felt that exact way as you did growing up, I always longed to someday get that natural beauty just heavenly bestowed upon me. I was a late bloomer in so many ways and felt I had finally "made it" to the cool and pretty avenue by my early 20's. I've actually never felt more accepted for the way I look than once I had children.....it would make me cry with comfort that my newborn baby wasn't grossed out by my adult acne or my bad breath or my greasy hair. She just accepted me exactly as I was in every state and I like to think that's how Jesus loves us/sees us. I wish I could give you a hug 🫂! I'll be praying with you for continual grace and acceptance of ourselves, even as we age. 😊 ❤

Please don't listen to that. As you get older, you start to gain confidence because you know who you are. You grow older, get wrinkles, maybe gain a bit of weight but you are confident in who you are. You are beautiful ❤

IN DISBELIEF! I’ve thought you to be a naturally pretty, inside and out from the moment I found your channel. You are genuine and honest, you know who you are and you own it. You stay true to yourself. You find the goodness in the little things. That is beauty.
You are so relatable and I adore your transparency. Wheww. I felt your words in my heart and soul. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, genuinely thank you for letting us ladies know we’re not alone! We appreciate you for who you are but always pray that you feel good about yourself 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤍🤍

I’m simple. Clinique moisture surge for all moisturizing. Philosophy products, and Cera Ve cleanser. Clinique, and Laura Gellar cosmetics. I’m not much in primers, highlighters, etc. etc. lol. Just the basics.
You’re such a beautiful person, on the outside and inside. The fact you have both is a blessing. So many are attractive on the outside, but their insides take all the attractiveness away.
    Your spirit shows through. ❤

I think people get use to seeing us with makeup and if they see us without their first reaction is to ask if we are sick or if something is wrong , my dad has asked me that lol. You are beautiful without makeup and makeup just highlights your beauty. I was never good with makeup but certain UA-cam influencers have really helped me. If you find one that is around your age and skin type sometimes you can find good products and tips. I love your sweet nature and love for God. ❤

I grew up with 4 sisters. We were all considered very pretty by outsiders. My mom was s teen in the late 1930's. Hollywood beauty was a big deal. She always commented on how we looked and felt it was sooo important. Every one of us do not go out without makeup. I feel pretty with makeup and plain without it.

"What others think of me is none of my business" I live by this. There's no pleasing everyone, so don't let them affect you. This gets easier over time. I don't wear make-up or do any face treatment, never have. I wear liquid liner and every now and then red lipstick at church on Sunday or a special occasion, otherwise none at all. Your inner beauty highlights your external natural beauty🙏💙

I’m a fair blonde as well. Recently discovered tinted moisturizer vs tanning lotion. It is far better as you have no mess! Also any lotion will remove make up. Just make sure it says non comedogenic so doesn’t clog pores. That was advice from my dermatologist!!

I live a simple life. I'm a natural blonde. At 51, I've tried it all. Mom to an 18 y/o daughter. 'Some' people make the strangest remarks. In no way, do they define your beauty. We are each unque, and are perfectly imperfect I use a Makeup Remover cloth that can be re-used (and takes everything off). If I need a deeper cleanser, I use Philosophy's Purity Made Simple Cleanser (the 3 oz version goes a long way). I skip all of the active skincare/devices/gadgets/supplements and use lots of sunscreen daily. I use a BB cream very sparingly or a water-based foundation. I do dermaplane. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging cream out there!. Best beauty item?. Your smile!.

A couple of things, the way you put on your night serum could be introducing bacteria. I would never let the tip touch your skin, maybe put some in your hand and then put it on your face. Also to clear up the adult acne, use Zo complexion clearing pads, morning and night after cleansing. Vitamin C is essential during the day for anti aging and retinol is destroyed by sunlight so it’s basically worthless during the day, great as part of your nighttime routine.hyalauronic acid is always a good idea. Also, if you are prone to acne, you need to sterilizing everything after and before touching your face. That shaver should be wiped with alcohol after use and before use, especially if you cut yourself. For concealer, IT cosmetics bye bye Under Eye is great. Just do the inside corners as doing the whole under eye will emphasize wrinkles. Please stop using sunless tanner often if you are concerned with premature aging, it’s as bad as smoking, it will age you. There are some doctors on UA-cam that discuss this in detail. I agree with all the other ladies that you are gorgeous! I am pale too, embrace the beauty of it, or use bronzer if you must.

You’re absolutely gorgeous! Why are people so mean and I think it’s jealousy. Castor oil. I started using it a few weeks ago and it’s amazing! I put my moisturizer on over it after it’s absorbed before bed and it never fails to keep my skin moisturized. And it’s cheap. I buy melaleuca products as they’re American made and they have so many products that are for the entire house and they work amazing. I get good sleep which helps. I started doing Gua Sha with the castor oil and it really makes a difference in skin tone and elasticity. My face at 58 is so pale and I let my white hair grow out so now I look washed out but I only wear makeup if I leave the house 😅 I will say I was terrible with taking care of my skin as I’m a child of the 60’s and we didn’t have sunscreen back then. I have to shave my face at this age. It’s peach fuzz but it makes me crazy. Makeup looks better with smooth skin. I have to say that I used to color my hair since I was probably 16 because it went from being a towhead color to an auburn red. And then after I had my daughters it turned Ash blonde. Crazy how hormones can change the hair color. But now that I’ve let the Natural hair grow out and it’s been two years. I get so many compliments on my hair. And always from young women who say I wanna look like you and I want to not worry about having gray hair so I’m gonna not dye my hair. And it just floors me, but we are so worried about other peoples judgment of us that it kind of controls us. Anyway along, but I just love how humble and sweet you are and your love for Jesus. I’m a Jesus freak. Anyone coming into my house or meeting me anywhere knows that I love Jesus. I have never never met a stranger. Lol God bless and have a great day.🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️🌎

I was just watching one of your other videos before this one and thinking how naturally pretty you were! Great cheekbones, pretty eyes, and smile! But most importantly, you seem very sweet, and a great wife and mother❤
I love plain coconut oil that you can get from the grocery store to remove my makeup (and eye makeup) it has never irritated my eyes. I also like miceller water and La Roche posay body and face moisturizer. You can get a large bottle of it for around $17.00 and it literally has a lot of those same ingredients as those pricey "night creams," and it's incredibly moisturizing.

I am so very sorry that people have told you unkind things about your looks. Let me tell you, truthfully, honestly, that I was just telling my husband that the videos of you, with little or no makeup show the natural and classically beautiful person you are. I was saying that your makeup is lovely, but truthfully, you are more beautiful without it. I am sad to hear that you feel you need to hide behind the makeup. I am absolutely no expert on beauty products, as, I have only worn makeup a few times in my 51 years of life, and nobody has ever said a word. Now, maybe I should have been wearing it my whole life, but hey, for me, it is greasy, timely, expensive even when shopping at drugstores, and, if I looked like you naturally look, I would NEVER put any makeup on again. I was just telling my youngest that he should never let anyone make him feel lesser, and I am telling you the same. Shame on those who ever said anything about your looks. Do not believe them. You are stunning without all of that makeup, and, your personality shines brighter than your makeup, and THAT is what really counts! All of this, coming from a person who films herself, mostly chin down, as I am afraid of showing my whole face. There are some videos, as, I tried, but mostly I sing showing my neck down. Haha! Anyway, sorry for the rant, but, I get passionate about this topic of looks, especially when someone as lovely as you are shamed. You are beautiful without makeup. Believe it, because you are.

Dear Kristen, if you want to keep your youthfullness longer and your skin more ratiant, ditch those make up wipes 🙈 They do not clean your make up thoroughly. Plus, are full of drying chemicals. Instead remove your make up with natural jojoba, sunflower or almond oil (put some oil on your face, masage in and then wipe with damp towel. Then use a cream cleanser (CeraVe is very affordable and recommended by lots of dermatologists here on youtube). Double cleansing is a key for a cleaner and more youthfull skin ❤

It would be nice to think that God thinks were beautiful and it didnt matyer to him and then we have examples like Eve, Esther and Mary (etc.) who were praised for their beauty.

And for my daughters I so badly want to not focus on appearance and looks and to show her that I don’t need makeup to be beautiful, and neither does she. My mom, geandma(feel like the older generations sometimes put so much emphasis on beauty) so that’s been hard for me, but glad I get to do it different with my daughter💜

Wow, whoever made that "naturally pretty" comment to you must have been trying to get under your skin or something because you are quite obviously beautiful!
I used to be a makeup junkie, but I've given up most of it. I no longer wear any foundation because if people care about my skin not being flawless, that's on them, not for me to worry about haha
For my skincare, I use oil pulling to clean my skin (usually almond oil--coat my skin, then use a hot wet wash cloth to cover and steam my face 4 times). I used to use Devita skincare but recently tried Andalou Naturals and some The Ordinary once in awhile.
For natural makeup, I use Alima Pure cream concealer, blush, and highlight, and Han powder bronzer (these are pricier than drugstore brands, but last forever because I only need a little bit). Loreal Lash Paradise or Honest Beauty mascara and Covergirl brow gel.

Kristen, your skin is radiant! Fair skin is beautiful! Your bone structure will carry you into aging with grace. Your gift to your daughters is how you are learning to love yourself just as god created you. Embracing your natural gifts will not only instill confidence in your girls it will lift you up. As a much older woman I look back at my past struggles trying to achieve what was considered fashionable beauty in the 70’s and shake my head. There is a generation of women left with pencil thin eyebrows from over plucking in our quest for fashionable beauty. 😩😂 Kristen you are beautiful and anyone who has made you feel otherwise has issues of their own. Have a lovely rest of your week. 🙂

@@KristenHoffman, my heart goes out to women who are chasing the current fad by Micro-bladed dark fat eyebrows onto their faces. My understanding is micro-blading is permeant. Some fool is going to eventually declare pencil thin eyebrows are the new standard of beauty… then what? I wish we could all see beauty in who we are and not in what someone else’s definition of beauty is.

As a natural strawberry-blonde, I have VERY blonde eyelashes and eyebrows! Would never leave the house without mascara. My mom even told me how much better I look with mascara, pretty much saying how horrible I look without it. It’s affected me my whole life. Had another friend tell me I need to “paint” my eyebrows. I literally have no natural beauty 🤦‍♀️ and feared beaches or pools. Would wear waterproof, but it never really stays on. So jealous of others that can wake up & run out without any makeup 😢

When I was your age I did no skin care. I used to use Maybelline mascara remover and Neutrogena wipes to get my makeup off. Now I don’t wear makeup. I quit wearing it about three years ago. I used to wear it when I went out of the house. Since I moved I just don’t feel like messing with it. And I’m about to turn 64. I should probably wear makeup. But I am into skin care now. I wash my face with Neutrogena face wash. It doesn’t even hurt your eyes. And I started using Curology about five years ago. And I always wear sunscreen and moisturizer. I need it bad. I have extremely dry skin. I do own a NUFace Trinity device. It uses micro current too. I don’t use it like I should. And it was expensive. I bought mine on QVC and made payment for six months. I also own a Flawless rechargeable device to get the hair off my face. I use it around my eyebrows too. I just have to be careful. I used to pluck my eyebrows down to a thin line. So I use No. 7 lash serum on my brows. They are growing now. I need to do that to my eyebrows. I always say I have Andy Rooney, the guy from 60 minutes, eyebrows. So I understand. I never had acne. I had an occasional zit from hormones. I use drugstore makeup. I can’t afford to buy all,the expensive stuff. My husband remarks about everything I buy for my face already. If I spent a fortune on makeup I would have to listen to more. I think your makeup looks great. And you didn’t have to spend a fortune, like a lot of You Tuber’s. I can’t see spending a fortune for something you’re just going to wash off that same day. I spend my money on clothes, shoes and handbags. And also my grandkids.

Kristen, when you use your blade, go up on the hair. Not down. You will get a better cut on the hair. Just think about the way you shave your legs.
I have had this done for 30 years. My daughter is a skin care medical Esthetician. So I am glad you feel good about good skin care. Keep up the great work.
Remember, Jesus wants you inner beauty to shine over your outer beauty. Thats all you need.
Now, I will tell you what my momma said, "God gave you those looks and he can take them away any time He wants, so you better shine on the inside.!" Lol ,let me tell you it scared the be-jeebers out of me. ( everything she said scared me).

    1 Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. I love this Bible verse. You are truly a beautiful gem: inside and out. I'm so thankful for you tubers like you who enjoy all things "home" but also point out to us how real joy is found in living for God and loving your family.
