- I've been unbelievably excited to take place in this competition - so much so that I actually built my R32 specifically for it. I wasn't happy with it just yet so I opted to take my S13 which wound up breaking on the third lap. I was fortunate enough to have a friend (Logan) that rented me his KA-T (~300hp) S13 so I could take place in the competition. Despite my mistakes I'm extremely happy with my driving and am proud of how I did. Hope you guys enjoy the video! LZMFG.com

PLEASE use this format in all future competitions. It was soooo entertaining. Sidenote: I subscribed to this channel because I thought your bmx videos were funny (Never was a big bmx fan, more of a skateboarder) . To see you transition from bmx guy, to car guy, to drift guy, and then to drift expert has been crazy awesome. Drifting has always been a passion of mine. Little did I know that subscribing to a little channel about friends riding their bikes at a skatepark would still bring so much joy to this day. Congrats on your win bro. #KeepMovingSideways

I remember when I watched his old videos of the s13 when it was on reps and he was at OSW trying to drift it and kept spinning out. I was like “this guy can’t drift for shit” and now he’s drifted plenty of platforms and can hop in a car and just tandem with someone.

Its all in the setup and tires but yes, i agree. His car is always super fast at tracks.

He seemed like he was struggling to adjust to the power level the first day (the track has a pretty radical uphill before the last corner, and the straight is longer than it looks), but he was doing fine during competition.
Peter Guthrie I mean not much you can do other than floor it, you're only going to get what the motor will give you. I'm sure the power level was relatively the same as his Z, but I know he had to wait for that turbo to kick in

@Logan Wilson you are one hell of a nice guy. I can't like of a single person that would do that around where I live. I do 3 gun comps which can be pretty competitive. If someone was on fire most wouldn't even spit on them to help put them out lol.

You do some crazy lead runs and you shouldn’t be so hard on your self on your follow runs because you actually follow so well like no one else has got as close as you get

Those follow runs were so intense. Adam you killed it! I was hyped just watching, and I love seeing the in cabin and then outside views. So so so dope.
He wasn’t hard on himself about his follows, he said he is usually terrible at leads and amazing at follows. All he did this time was basically say he did well at both.
Trip to Japan is what did it. He learned to ACTUALLY tandem lol

Adam has the natural drifters instinct, quite rare for some, but utilized by few.
I think he's so good because he spends a lot of time drifting for fun and doesn't beat himself up all the time. He has fun doing it, which is the best of all.

I could tell when you had good runs and great runs just from the POV, then by watching the second angle from Alberto’s filming I was able to determine that you beat each contender. I absolutely loved the way this video was put together. I can’t imagine the adrenaline and nerves you got from this. I was on the edge of my seat with anxiety this entire video! Seeing how far you’ve come made me so friggen happy every time you beat someone I was ecstatic when you beat that guy and said the backstreet boy line I was dying laughing ahaha. I think this is the most entertaining drift video you have uploaded so far!
This is the most fun I've seen Adam have competing, it's like he's learning to roll with the punches instead of allowing everything that goes wrong to build up and ruin his mood, great job!
I think there was an element of "Fuck it, it's a rental" as well. But, he went ham on a bisquit and made a whole scene question their abilities. He slayed every run, lead or pursuit. No one there really had anything for him. if they did, they got caught slippin' and hit him.....amateurs.
This literally shows all the Japan driving paid off this car probably has the least hp out of everyone he drove against yet he won because driver skill, I think you would’ve overdrove the track in the cream s13 this car made sure you drove it as close to the edge as possible! Sick video!

RedShiftJellyfish Nah I credit it to that 350Z he's been driving with that VQ he's got so much seat time in that thing this year it's insane. That stock VQ is so reliable.
RedShiftJellyfish yeah but imo he got a lot of style from Japan literary the skid pad session when he came back was night and day difference from before. He learned the limits and pushed himself in Japan. He never threw it in as hard until after that Japan trip I agree the z keeps him sharp but this ka-t put in work. My point is this comp solidifys that you don’t need all the power on technical courses and hp doesn’t help. Imo the runs he did in his car the entry on corner 1 was always off and that’s because that car is so damn fast it’s not as easy to gauge where the ka car is being pushed and you know exactly where to enter and you can actually drive that car closer to the limit.
Yup, almost everyone lost because they couldn't hang with his fast, deep entries. (reminds me of a porn scene I watched a few days ago) And, his pursuit laps were as solid as you would expect him to get in his own car. AFAIK Logan was one of the most stoked guys at the event. Adam hopped in his car and showed him how its done. I'm sure Logan thinks he has no chance against The Animal Crew. But.....his car does. ;)
