- Recently, Jane gave a painting demonstration to the local art league members in her community. She thought it would be fun to film the presentation for her UA-cam channel. In the demo, Jane paints one of her favorite topics, her island women, using her tropical colors and bold strokes.
In addition, Jane offers full painting classes at her website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com. The classes are only $25. You can download a class and watch and follow along at your own pace.

Born in ‘51 I spent time at the Akron Art Institute, think it was on Market St. I’m curious who you studied with in the area. Thank you for sharing yourself and your art!
I was from the Cleveland area and traveled to the Cuyahhoga Valley Art Center in Cuyahoga Falls for lessons. I studied with Mark Moon, Fred Graff, Don Getz and more.

Love this-love your style. Question-i am (beginner) trying to paint a mom and baby profile on beach and have made a huge mistake on moms legs with skin tones, its def overworked., legs look crazy. frustrated:( so should i gesso over legs and part of beach and begin again with base red underpainting, then redoing legs with hookers green, then white, then onto skin tones? thanks. :)
Let it dry and just paint new legs over the old ones.

Put your paint tray in the refrigerator I live up north and my room is cold and it just stays on the table and it's because it's cold it doesn't make mold
