Coxsone switch the name from Wailers to Bob & The Wailers. Bunny hated flying. Peter was totally against the name change

Wow. Recently been watching a lot of Copeland Forbes interviews. The man is a moving encyclopedia when it comes to Reggae and Bob Marley and the Wailers in particular. Haing read the following books , Catch a Fire the life of Bob Marley by Timothy White, Don Taylor's Bob Marley and me, Roger Steffens So much things to say, an oral history of Bob Marley, Steve Davis' Bob Marley , I thought i know it all. But this man sheds light on some more issues, events and episodes which i are not found in the material i have read. Great

It was Chris Blackwell money that pushed the Wailers ahead of the Maytals…. Heptones….as a band….

Very interesting interview! However, not sure if it would make a difference, BUT during the legal struggles of Family Man with the Marley estate WHY wasn't he there in court as a witness to help out the Barretts?...not sure if he was there with them in court. I am just asking!

Nuff respect to the elder. However, Blackwell himself is recorded saying that he pushed Bob to the front and suggested to him to change the name to Bod Marley and the Wailers. But respect for the man perspective still.

It was Bob Marley and the Wailers some years before Blackwell.

Very informative! The Barett bros was going up against some giants! Yet their building blocks contribution to Wailers hits was sadly denied.Blackwell obviously sided with Sir Coxones- hinting he gave harmonizing and notes for the songs yet they find it hard to say the band did also…which sounds a little crazy!

Those releases were re-releases not the original and yes it was the Wailers but don't trust this guy go listen to Allan "skill" Cole, Bob Marley's friend and manager.
