I have a 991.2 GTS. Water temp got hot and heater stopped working a couple of times. Coolant level at max but saw dried coolant at bottom of water pump. When I put car in sport mode and turn heater as soon as I start the car, it doesn’t overheat. What do you think is wrong? I don’t see any continuing leaks. Have you seen many 991’s have this problem?

Yep check the vacuum vents or solenoids for coolant valves
