  • BASE-jumper Jeb Corliss doesn't believe in fear - he lives to share why one must learn to control it in order to succeed turning dreams into reality. He thinks nothing of jumping off bridges, cliffs, or the tallest building in the world.
What was once a hobby has turned him into an expert of harnessing fear; it's a journey that has taken him to 16 countries across 5 continents and has seen him do over 1000 fixed object jumps.

I'm happy to see people flying. I had many dreams how I fly. I was only 5-6 years old when I started to have these dreams and I still remember them. I always felt very happy and never scared when I was flying in my dreams!!

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." - Nelson Mandela
I have lived in fear all my life, and am still struggling to overcome it. Whenever I can, I attend snowboard camp. I once had a coach who didn't believe in helping people; you were supposed to just charge it. He said only scared people get hurt, giving the analogy of the drunk driver crashing his car and walking away without a scratch. I feel more comfortable easing into new situations. I noticed that's what Jeb Corliss does; whenever he attempts a stunt, he is SURE it will work. Like he says, this comes from over a decade of practice.
I found this coach's picture on the web, printed it up, and asked for his autograph. We campers were having dinner in a restaurant. He was totally snockered. He said he was really flattered; it was his first autograph request. He wrote, "Here's to conquering your fears!!" and signed it.
When I boarded the bus to return to camp, guess who was sitting at the wheel?
He gave me a look of ABSOLUTE TERROR!!! LOL!!!

Sorry, this is not aimed at you personally. I hope to inform or educate other countries.
I hate it that Nelson Mandela became everyone's "superhero", because he was a terrorist, who killed women and children.
You can go and Google about it. Or if you want, I can share more information about it.
But happy for you :-) Overcoming your fear

why does the description say he dosnt believe in fear, in just about every interview jeb has said he is just as scared as anyone else would be but he has the albility to see past that point of fear and jump, that dosnt mean he is fearless or dosnt believe in fear it just means he is an amazing human being that can push himself past the point of being so scared you wont jump

The planning mind of this man is incredible.
He also has ginormous brass balls. Probably bigger balls than Colbert's after Colbert roasted Bush @ the White House dinner. And those were large balls.

Yeah, Jeb is a great pilot, but before everyone goes and claims him to be the best, take look how at his error cost Dwain Weston his life on the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado back in ‘03’!
Dwain attempted compensate for Jebs off course direction and it’s still thee most brutal BASE jump/wing suit death caught on video to this day!
There are so many other great jumpers out there, it’s just that Jeb has GoPro and Red Bull paying for him to live a full time career doing this where there are far greater an more experienced pilots out there who self fund everything they do!
