      In fairness, eye witness testimony has consistently proven to be among the least reliable testimony in the legal system. That’s like day-one law school stuff.

    Did they search for license plates system by hand? Or do they not have a computerized system? SOUNDS STUPID THAT THEY HAD A LICENSE PLATE NUMBER AND IT TOOK THEM FOREVER TO FIND HIM!😠

      For me it all depends on how much they tried. He could have been hiding out at a different address than what was in the system for the license plate. So maybe there was a reason it took that long. But if he was there in plain sight the whole time and they still took forever for not trying, you have to wonder why.

      As I understand it (I could be wrong) they DID find him, interviewed him, and decided there was not enough evidence to prosecute, so they dropped it. That was his first KNOWN hit and run.
      ALSO, you need to understand, that they are looking at him for running down 6 women in 4 incidents SO FAR, we have no idea how many he could have done that they haven't connected to him yet.
      They will probably just cut him loose again, what are the chances that he would do it again, right?

      I understand that Salt Lake is a huge area, been there, worked there! Still, if they had investigated and cut him loose, they should have tried harder to "keep him on their radar" as that wouldn't have required much!
      "TRY THAT IN A SMALL TOWN"....and he would be buried in the salt flats, never to be seen or heard from again! 😉

    There were eye wiitnesses in most of the hit & runs plus huge numbers of home survelillance & doorbell cameras... & the cops didn't think it was urgent enough????

      Plus video and other independent witnesses all showing the same license plate number. 6 women, 4 different incidents that we know of. They will probably have him out within a week. CLEARLY it is all a misunderstanding.

      THOSE Cops, not ALL Cops.
      Also, they DID find him (for the first one) the DA decided there was not enough evidence to prosecute, so they dropped it. Video evidence, several independent eyewitnesses, all recording his plate number, and the damage to his vehicle. The Cops can only do so much if no one is willing to prosecute the criminals.
      People need to make better choices in the voting booth.

    2 eyewitness - one witness ,a live victim. Vehicle and license plate info that matches the witness statements. And look at that, same driver has other charges...😮

    So it took more than 1 hit and run of a young woman for the Salt Lake City Police/Detectives to arrest the criminal (and they were given the man’s license plate number by the woman who witnessed the entire incident)!😳🙁😡
