In an interview, they admitted to playtesting the shit out of BOTW like the devs played the ENTIRE game multiple times before release. Not sure if it was Eiji but someone decided "if the bugs don't hinder the experience, and especially if they make the game more fun, leave them in"

Combining that aspect with Nuts 'n Bolts some years earlier and it's easy to see how they got here. That kind of stuff can be a really gratifying way to solve and approach both puzzles and combat. I think BotW even shared an early development glitch that Nuts 'n Bolts had called the Magic Carpet glitch, where you couldn't lift up something you were standing on, but if you stacked another item on top and stood on that, it would bypass it, letting people levitate themselves. XD

I totally agree with that. I also think they implemented more explicitly some emergent gameplay mechanics shown in some players. This is interesting and probably will decrease the randomness of the mechanics shown in BotW to allow more people to use it without having too many trials and errors.

These vehicles don't fit into the game at all. Just my opinion but it feels so out of place to have let's say that a goofy looking car. Especially since it will almost be a 100% a buggy mess you can do ridiculous stuff with. Sure people will have fun with it but a normal Zelda game and not an almost sandbox would be awesome for once....

I'm surprised most people think the explosion we see is connected to the previous shot of the raining malice. It looks more like when the Blights exploded after beating them. Also, the shot with the monsters isn't them being infused with malice. It's more enemies being summoned just like in the cut scene with the Blood Moon.

I think one of the main points to make about this trailer is that the enemies in this game seem to have gained a new level of intelligence. Whilst in the previous game, they use primitive weapons and use them brutishly. Wildly swinging them left and right or above their head. In this game there seems to be new behaviour which suggests that gannon's minions are becoming more organised. Mining operations, more advanced operation bases, taming talos's, drop troopers are even seen flying the skies ready to drop down on Link seemingly at any moment. I can't wait to see how the enemies and AI have evolved with this new game.

Allies of Hyrule can mean a lot of things, as you said, the sky kingdoms. As seen in Twilight princess but hopefully we don't get those things again. Better would be the ones from minish cap which were probably just Hylians from the extended Skyloft ecosystem.

Maybe a more direct translation of the japanese trailer could help in clarifying things as well.
I watched the french trailer (usually a bit more faithful than english translations when it comes to japanese productions) and the phrasing is slightly different. Something along the lines of "whoever rallies behing her cause" instead of "her allies". Although it sounds similar at first, this is a lot less specific and more about considering possibilities of an external meddling (no confirmation of Hyrule having any ally).

ive always thought the zonai tribe had something to do with the triforce of courage (it is also green (i think)). And courage is all about holding together in the face of fear. This zonai green goop holds stuff together and the emblems seem on the zonai robots feature a ring (which symbolises togetherness). This also links to Link's special hand (see what i did there), where his new rune-type ability's (the one like magnesis shown in the clip) animation features a circle forming and closing in... things coming together. Idk, this might seem like an out-there theory to you guys, but it makes sense to me.
P.S. one more thing- the wierd arm thing Link has seems to stop malice spreading over his body, which is another example of zonai stuff holding things together (in this case Link's body)

14:25 - the Dueling Peaks (at least one mountain) seems... short?
25:35 - that mountain with that strange hole
Some new screenshots and artworks are very interesting to analyze: Zelda seems to have an OLED version of a sheikah slate without the sheikah symbol. One of the screenshots from the eshop shows a shirtless Link diving from the sky and we can clearly see a dragon (I'm not sure if it's Farosh), this confirms the theories about a glimpse of a dragon on that other teaser from September. And I'm curious to know the "chronological order" of these events because I feel like this vast storm and monster infestation will be at the beginning of the game (something like GOW 2 where we start fighting the colossus) but how will this lead to the sky islands to show up?

What motivated Link and Zelda to explore Hyrule's underground and thus find Ganon? An idea I have is related to Typhlo ruins. Maybe the fact that the fog disappeared there, triggered Link's and Zelda's curiosity to explore this place. There, they found a crypt (its entrance is shown in the first trailer) and they entered it to find all this amazing underworld. Maybe Ganon's location was under the Lost Woods (quite close to Typhlo ruins). A theory could be that Zonai discovered Ganon's body, sealed it under the Lost Woods (under the protection of Deku Tree) and hid the entrance to underworld in Typhlo, hidden from everyone (Typhlo in Greek means "blind"). Maybe this is the reason we do not see the Great Deku Tree anymore. Not because it moved to the sky. But because Ganon's revival destroyed it from below.

They mentioned at the end of BOT issues with the guardian beasts and things powering down, my belief is that Ganondorf's energy was being siphoned to power the Sheikah tech and his corruption of the guardians using calamity gannon was the first step to him breaking the siphon. Which is why we see little use of the Sheikah tech in the trailers.
The tech we are seeing now might be a backup system prepared by the Zonai or cloud people in case Ganondorf breaks free. To help Link reseal him into a Siphon. The 10000 years of not using the Sheikah tech might be why the seal was damaged enough for Gannondorf to be able to take control of the guardians in the age of calamity.

Might be interesting to note that the ground drawings are reminiscent of the Nazca Lines. I had thought for a while now that the Zonai designs reminded me of something and it clicked with these images.
They seem to be based on the cultures of South America most prominently the Incans with a quite a bit Aztec thrown in there. Dragons were very much the Aztec's thing, Quetzalcoatl being depicted as a winged feathered eastern dragon.
Also noteworthy in this connection is the ghostly head spawning mouths and eyes found on malice in BOTW. This fits with the story of Cipactli or the world in which the Aztec gods built their creations. It was an enormous creature that was basically a Lovecraftian horror of mouths, eyes and liquid that would eat everything they made. So they killed it, turned it into the planets and fed it the dead since it would only stay dead while appeased. This kind of fits well with what we have been seeing of Ganondorf being used to power the Sheikah tech presumably, if that's what the green power was doing by siphoning off his power. He is the foundation of Hyrule's might, as long as they deal with him every 10000 years or so.
In the Aztec myth of creation the sun was basically one of the creation gods and each time one of them screwed up another would take his or her place with the current one being the 5th attempt at getting things right. maybe we will find out that this was the 5th attempt at controlling the malice stemming from Demise? The Aztecs thought the world would end in earthquakes and we have been seeing a ton of those in these trailers.
I don't have too deep of an understanding of these cultures so someone else will have to come up with more similarities.

@@MonsterMaze definitely, forgot to say I think the cycle of the Zelda games has changed in BOTW, from destruction every few hundred years to every 10000 years, I kind of said it above but that's what I meant when I said maybe this is the 5th time, as part of the connection to the Aztec myths, Ganondorf is escaping from being Siphoned for energy and this Siphoning might be like the Aztec god/earth/lovecraft horror like mythos.

The hydra/dragon like thing. I believe this is Gleeok from the og Legend of Zelda. So more bigger badder mini bosses I presume.
Second: is this the temple of time window from the roof access?
Third: you can easily see the corruption is erupting from ganondorfs body. Making me think that ganondorf is simply a puppet in this game and that Demise has the strings. You can also see that the master sword has been corrupted as well.
However, in the shot with the giant Minecraft golem (lol), link is holding, what looks like a common sword, quite unlike the master sword, yet it is also corrupted.
This makes me wonder if any sword or equipment can become corrupted and drain its energy

Two last things. Those streams that come from the skylands that reach all the way down, could be water streams. In the previous trailer we saw link climbing on the side of one of the skylands and there was this smal stream of water coming off of it like a small waterfall.
Regarding Links arm, I still think it will look like the first big trailer, but it’s of significance what he’s wearing. It’s not his arm that looks completely roasted by malice but rather his champion tunic which got the worst of it too, if you look at the entire sleeve at about his collarbone, it’s all torn and ripped, but you still see the markings on it like on the good side. Just a thought. Great vid 💯

3 Points I would like to add:
    1. A minor correction to what we see at 10:10 : the Bokoblins there aren't upgraded by the Malice, they are spawned by it. It looks like an upgrade at first glance, but there are already horned Bokoblins in the shot before the Malice hits, and when it hits, new ones appear out of it.
    2. Just an idea, but the tower at 19:32 with the "horns" at its top and the shape of the tower base reminds me of the "dragon"-like machine/creature (e.g. at 16:11) that we have seen on the islands. The tower's "horns" have some similarity to the shape of the dragon's head and also, the overall shape of the tower, especially with the broader base, looks similar to the "broomstick" symbol on the chest of the dragon. Now, I have no idea how this would make any sense lore-wise, and it might just be inaccurate, but it stood out to me.
    3. In Ganondorf's speech, I am quite sure he does not say "eliminate this kingdom and *its* allies", but rather, "eliminate this kingdom and *her* allies". This could obviously just be a translation error from japanese, but it might be intentional, with Ganondorf maybe equating Hyrule with Hylia, or with Zelda? Might be insignificant, but it seems like a weird mistake to make in a voice-over for a trailer like this, if it were indeed not intentional.
Also, I am impressed by the amount of detail you captured in this first-impression video, it contains way more information than what I could have gotten out of the trailer no matter how often I would have watched it.
    (Edit: fixed typos and grammar)

You can catch a glimpse of it again in the shot where link is riding Epona through the field with the birds flying away. I think it's on Mt. Lanayru. What is that?!

I have a LOT of thoughts about this trailer I feel like you missed! Here they are!
Interesting that when Hateno's tech lab is shown the teleport outside isn't lit up, nor does a blue flame seem to be burning in the furnace either. Sheikah tech is completely gone, except the weird station with claws, so what does that mean for Purah and the rest?
The station Sheikah text on the platform translate to 'TRANSPORT' as well btw.. new fast travel?
To me the cutscene with the Bokoblin at 10:07 and the malice raining down looks less like the malice is hitting the enemy up front but spawning in more further back, and not just infecting the one shown first.
There is a new Bokoblin enemey seen behind the Redead that is a Boss Bokoblin, confirmed on Nintendo's Japanese Twitter account. Said to be a commonly occurring enemy though. Also seen a second time in the trailer, although a blue one.
The new block creature and car seem to be powered by a similar looking cube, in the middle back of the car, and one bright green cube on the back of the creature. Kill the bosses to unlock the car upgrade?
Link seems to be quite high up Death Mountain with no special armour when he is skating and the air isn't full of ash/specks of lava, we know the top seems to be spewing Malice rather than a regular eruption now, so unless he has a potion on then could the temperature have dropped dramatically, making it walkable with no heat-proof protection?
At 29:07, it looks like the big block type structure on the ground is covering a second tower like structure that seems to be glowing green.
I believe Zelda is asking the Green Hand to lend his power to Link, which is why it glows green when he uses his new powers.
There is also a bunch of artwork on the Japanese TotK kingdom website, including a new, large green unseen before symbol, and the Nintendo Japan Twitter, new artwork that shows Zelda with a new style Sheikah slate, and confirms the Bokoblin enemy as said above. It also asks the question of why Link in his new outfit looks so different to the Link we know. It also shows off some cool paraglider variants from Amiibo

I think I have an idea of what the pictures on the ground might be for. At 23:31 we see this zelda-like figure reaching out to link from an ethereal plain, and in the immediate shot after link stares at his hand as if contemplating that previous shot. To me that shot is similar to the shots of Link regaining his memories after you visit memory spots in botw. So what if it'll be a similar system to the lost memories, where its a secondary main quest in which you piece together the backstory of the corpse hand by visiting these special glyphs. And sense you presumably don't have the shiekah slate with picture of where to go to get these memories, instead you track down these spots by finding these giant glyphs. If this does end up being the case I hope it's only for lore purposes, I'd hate it if we got another non-story from Zelda where all the character stuff and major events happened before the events of the game. Definitely something I am hoping they correct in this game, and looks like they might.

One thing I noticed: It's really faint, but in the distance where Kakariko Village is supposed to be, there is some red energy that looks too much like malice. Since the Gorons have been affected by malice in Death Mountain, the Hylians by the rising of Hyrule Castle, the Rito by the huge storm in Hebra and the Koroks by the loss of the Deku Tree and maybe the whole Lost Woods, perhaps the Sheikah have been attacked as well by Ganondorf or maybe even by the Yiga. It's possible that the Yiga have used Kakariko as a residence now that they've got the Sheikah gone, which could imply the death of Impa. Or maybe the Sheikah turned evil and merged with the Yiga. That scene where Link is surrounded by Guardian arms trying to grab him could in fact be a clever Sheikah/Yiga trap.

    A few points to add:
    1. About the broomstick symbol, the golden goddesses exposition in Zelda OoT shown when the Great Deku Tree gives Link the Kokiri's Emerald seems to match the broomstick imagery with 1 line branching out into 3 lines. The exposition explains how the 3 goddesses Din, Nayru, and Farore each had a hand to play in the creation story of Hyrule. The broomstick symbol now appears where Link can make gadgets (vehicles, weapons). Coincidence?
    2. I initially thought Link was trying to grasp the unknown pale figure's hand and failed at 24:38, but the hand angles between the consecutive scenes don't seem to match up.

Could be interpreted in multiple ways of course, but if the voice isn't referring to Zelda and/or Hylia, or this new mystery figure as "Her", it means they gendered the kingdom when they referenced it. Could mean Hyrule something they hold, or held, in high regard, or it could mean nothing lol. I did notice that when you isolate the voice from the trailer it sounds like there was an audio cut made after he says "Hyrule", so there might be an entire section that was cut out to keep important details under wraps.
