    In this era of social media and having an overload of information at our fingertips, it’s hard not to constantly compare yourself to others. It’s hard to see all of the vacation pictures, the couple pictures and everyone’s seemingly perfect lives on display.
    However, what we don’t always realize is that we’re comparing our behind the scenes to someone else’s highlight reel. People only publish things they want you to see and we need to remember that.
    I truly believe that comparison is the thief of joy and that’s why in today’s episode I give you 7 ways to stop comparing yourself to others and tips on how to define your own personal success.

    Your worst enemy is yourself and your best ally is yourself as well.

    I have compared myself to “hot men” my whole life. I’ve put them down and put them up in my head. It’s gotten to the point where social media is draining . I can’t fathom my partner watching porn or complementing others. Realizing that my issues come from comparing and feeling inferior is one of the biggest forms of self destruction. Everyone is unique and different . That’s what I tell myself . Why compare things that are so different . If anything we should be contrasting our lives and being happy that we’re unique

    We are in a culture where we can be anybody else rather than ourselves instead of developing our selves and do what we are made of into this world- our purpose.

    • @anaghasubhash5312
      @anaghasubhash5312 3 роки тому +1

      There is nothing called "over" confidence. They measure your confidence with their own standards and it can vary from person to person. They see someone smarter than what they aspire to be and call them "over"smart. This whole idea is messed up according to what I've observed.
      Keep going. Never give ears to discouraging people. You've got greater heights to climb...

    I compare myself to those good at school like good grades and stuff and who went to college I always criticized myself for not being smart enough because of my bad grades but my mother says I have plenty to be grateful for cause I am a singer
    and can sing opera.i had a bad experience with teachers who hated me and looked down on me for my lack there of my lack of intelligence and my lack of understanding comprehension and being smart.be smart you are not smart enough
    is what they say. and I still hear their voice to this day.

    And you have no idea whether that other person has the great life you think. The world is rough and mean. As Jordan Peterson said, "the world is against you . . . obviously." But as I told my own subscribers, many times the greatest enemy in life can be yourself. And you make yourself an enemy by comparision to others. If you make 80K a year and have 200K in the investment arenas you will feel badly if you have a friend who makes 250K and has a million in his. But you will feel good about yourself if you compare yourself to someone who makes 30K and has nothing in his accounts. But maybe that 250K person works 80 hours a week and hasn't had a vacation in ten years. The point is, your journey is yours. How much you want to work and gain to get the greatest benefits you can from your short time on earth---and most of those benefits, my friends, are not financial. Hope this helps someone----Charles
