There is a way you can figure this out.think scalar quantity is 1, vector quantity is 0.Speed change(vector)/ time (scalar), so 0/1= 0
So , acceleration is vector quantity

I have one doubt sir,
Sir you taught that the acceleration that occurs in change in direction is a change in velocity sir. But, the displacement is a initial to final position only sir . They didn't describe the direction of that position .
