Martin!!! You are amazing! Thank you so much for doing this for us!! Also, it was me asking you about shooting the fire extinguisher. I knew you would know how to do it!
Ciao, great video as always. A curiosity. Wanting to save some money, could I use instead of the translucent material you use the simple tracing paper that surveyors or architects use for their projects?
Yes you can! You just need to check so the paper is as neutral in color as possible. Also, you can easily white balance in post if you have a slight warm hue.
It all depends on how big the company is and what they are going to use the photo for. It can be everything from $400 to $4000. Hopefully I can find time to do a video about that. Thanks
Thank you for this! Glossy dark colored products are a nightmare. I have a glossy dark blue coffee mug from a client that I need to photograph and it's very frustrating.
@@botvidsson I usually do this for instagram tasks and no one sees the noise) but for banners or smth huge I d probably use another flash. Can you please tell us more about how to get clients and other business aspects?
I have been learning what to do with only one flash since I become acquainted with this channel..you are amazing 👏😍 I want to join in the Facebook group, but I can't see the group 😢 botvidsson
I have client now that wants shoot win bottes on eshop "white background, easy to cut by AI software", but if i understand correctly my client, he want photos without reflections or any gradient and any layering in photoshop couse huge amount of products >1000. Its even harder that i tought, some tips ?
@@botvidsson i am sure their not find any. I find on their eshop one very close to no reflection, only light gradient appeared on the bottle but for me this kind photo is hard to do and not so attractive for customer, very flat I think. That's can be possible to do, tricky but possible. I should discuss with customer about he's vision or try what customer want Couse their always right ? 🤷😀
@@botvidsson their gave me on the beginning, but of course with reflections. I will do my best but i think client will be more like satisfied, couse your tutorials :D
The lighting is nice but the product looks "fat" and unflattering in my opinion, i think you could have used a longer lens and a lower angle, . The longer focal length would also make dealing with the reflections easier.
Highly, highly recommend buying coffee for Martin! You get so much in return, it actually is the only channel I've ever became a member on.
Thank you so much. Warms my heart.
This is good too know cause I’m really considering. Have learnt so much from this channel.
I can’t unfortunately due to the country I live in 😭 doesn’t allow me to be a member
@@botvidsson how can i become the coffee supporter? Nothing happens when i click the link. Is there any restrictions? Thanks for the answer!

No problem!! 😁
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
I sympathize. I often shoot glossy new bicycles in studio. Everything reflects in every direction. That would make an interesting video.
I would love to shoot a glossy bike!

Yes you can! You just need to check so the paper is as neutral in color as possible. Also, you can easily white balance in post if you have a slight warm hue.
What would you charge for something like this? Can you do a video of pricing product photography and where you find clients
It all depends on how big the company is and what they are going to use the photo for. It can be everything from $400 to $4000.
Hopefully I can find time to do a video about that. Thanks
Good stuff! I’ll look forward to that if you can make one. I always struggle to find new clients that don’t want work for free of very very cheap.
I know, it's a struggle. I will not have any magical formula but I could do a video on my take what you can do or not.

Yes I agree, very tuff to shoot glossy stuff.
Hi. You can add some light in the front by creating the mask in Capture one and raising up the shadow and black. It helps me a lot
Absolutely, might get some noise though. However, probably no one will see. 😁 Thanks !

I will try... thanks!
Thanks Martin. Seems with starting circular flossy products was not the best idea for me 😀
Hehe! Yeah, it's hard stuff... but not impossible 😁

@@soundtempleAU Lastolite/Manfrotto or Colorama maybe. Have not tried though. Or the thinner stuff from Rosco and Lee
yeah !!

Why they make black color dont see in the dark ?
Cuz it looks cool on a photo studio wall 😁
