I was a weird kid. After school, I'd sit down and open up mii maker on my Wii u. I'd make miis for hours on end, and I eventually had to start deleting miis, that's how many I had. When I heard this song in a music video, it spoke to me. I didn't immediately recognize it, but I knew it was familiar. Thank you Nintendo.

I remember waiting for my Wii U the day I got it. It was one of those dark and cloudy rainy days, my mom was making cookies, we had the fireplace lit. The inside of the home was warm, which contrasted with the windy and wet outside greatly. It felt like Christmas even though it was June. The UPS lady came by, I signed for the package and ran inside as fast as I could. I got the Wii U all set up and I vividly remember this song. I was making my Mii's while eating cookies, waiting for Windwaker to finish downloading. Truly a great memory.

Wii U could be an awesome console like Wii but they just failed with tablet based controler. In 2010-11 tablets were really popular but when Nintendo in 2012 made Wii U "hype" for them was reaaaaly low because it was just old technology that every one knew and it wasnt anything special for everyone. But they did good with Switch, right...?

Thus, people thought it was an add-on, and also that might have been the cause of lack of third party support. This gives so much memories, having my Wii U and creating my first mii, playing splatoon, Mario kart 8, wii party, downloading free art games and painting with the gamepad, and then going into miiverse and talking to people I really miss those times
The Wii U officially died with the death of MiiVerse, and now the announcement of the end of 3DS and Wii U Eshop is the final goodbye. I’ll miss the hundreds of hours I spent on that console 😭

I remember when i got my WiiU, it was Christmas and i was like 9 or 10 smth think even 13 years old (im 20 now, how time flies 😂) i had Nintendoland, Mario 3D World, and i still remember playing amazing games, Pikmin 3, Smash Bros WiiU, Splatoon 1, Mario Maker, Zelda Wind Waker, Hyrule Warriors, or just watching UA-cam for my whole 2 hour Time Limit my grandma gave me, hell if i did good in school that day she would give me an extra hour, god i miss the WiiU.
There's this sorta thing about the music and the theme in the Nintendo consoles that sparks me so much joy. It has this frutiger aero influence but not quite all of it, it's like Universal Wi-Fi Comfortable videogame lobby, and that's what it is, really. Whenever I listen to the Wii and DS music I can only recall the most beautiful memories from my childhood and teenage years.

I remember getting my Wii U on Christmas Day of 2015 (yeah I was late to the party). I got the Mario Kart 8 Bundle with its dlc and NSMBU+ Luigi U. One of my favorite memories and one I will cherish for the rest of my life.
My Wii U was literally my childhood. I used to make Miis with my friend all the time. We had so much fun laughing while making the funniest Miis we could. Now I’m getting a job and in college and realize how much fun I had when I was a kid playing my Wii U.
This song is just incredible. It's so relaxing and always gives me a happy feeling. It's the reason why I spent more time in the Mii-Maker then I should have. I'm so sad that Nintendo didn't make music for the Switch's main menu and Mii-Maker.
It doesn't matter how new a console is, it will always be nostalgic to the people who grow up with it. ❤ The Wii U perfectly described this more than the Wii ever could have. What makes these songs even better, is that this is probably the last time Nintendo ever will have this much personality, love and care built in. It's 2015, a weird 5 year old sits in front of his TV. He turns it on and what he does is create random weird miis, he just loved it. Three years later when he had his switch, his Wii U was sold. The Wii U was my first console and brings so many cool memories, Switch just feels like an space hole without music and that stuff on its menu.
The Wiiu is probably the most nostalgic thing in my life. I remember i had so much of the games, and they are just all so underrated. Damn I miss the wii u , RIP Wii u.

RIP Miiverse, I was very fond of the Wii U it even had video chat with friends. And I remember being 8 or 9, downloading the Zombie U demo being scared shitless. Wii U, always been good to me.
I have an intense love for the Wii U. It was the last day of school when I got it. I would leave primary (sixth grade in Honduras) and it meant a lot for my parents, so, as a surprise, my dad called my mom and told her that he had to ask me a question. He said "what's the name of that thing you want?" and, of course, I said it was the Wii U. He said he'd try to buy it in the next few months, that he promised to do so. I was happy to know that at least I could be sure that I'd have it in my hands one day, so my day went by like any other. Hours later, like around 6 p.m, when my dad arrived from work, rain poured down and I was doing nothing, relaxing in that special day, knowing I would travel outside my country for the first time, get to see family, get to rest, and so many more good things that were to come during that summer break. But then it happened. My dad came in laughing like Santa Claus, and, on his hands, a huge box covered in a semi transparent, white plastic bag. I could see Mario through it. I remember how happy I was. I opened the thing like a maniac, and indeed, it was the Wii U, with MK8 + DLC included (I was so happy, I threw the DLC card to the trash, unknowingly. Wouldn't care until three years later, when I reflected back on it). Thank you, Wii U. I bought so many games, and enjoyed every single one of them like I have never enjoyed anything else in life. It was more than just playing. I felt alive anytime I heard that hard drive spin, and, after it, the music. This music. It was an experience.

I’m pretty sure this was around December in 2015 but most likely 2014. My dad told me a bit before (maybe like a week or two at most) that he had a surprise for me. A couple days or weeks later, I wake up to my parents setting up the Wii U, telling me they are not ready yet. It came with mk8 and Nintendo land. I loved that thing. Xenoblade chronicles x was great. I also remember Minecraft for the Wii U and getting into arguments with online friends, and unfriending and refriending them. Such a great era. Would take this over Xbox one and ps4 any day. Not much innovation, but still a great and memorable console. The switch will probably never have as much nostalgia.
Reminds me of waking up Christmas morning in 2013 to find a brand new Wii U under the tree. My dad helped me set it up and I made mii's of my family. Those were good times :)

Man... what good memories this song brings. When i first got my wii u, it was the last 2 years of its lifespan. I bought the smash splat deluxe version, and i got hooked right away. Smash was smash, i knew i was gonna love it from what i played before, but splatoon was a magical experience. I did NOT expect to like it as much as i did... even if it took me time to even play online. However, before any of that... i made sure to make miis for my entire family... both in advance for smash 4 and just out of tradition. Throughout that time, i just... wow... i fell in love with this song so much, you dont understand... I make sure to play this every time i make a mii on switch, it was that damn impactful. Even though the switch is thriving right now, and isnt going away anytime soon, i will never forget the glorious memories the wii u has given me. Thank you, nintendo.

@mering5298 nintendo is not at that level yet. The first party games still have the level of charm they did back in the wii era, there's still fragments of the charm that nintendo used to have built into the switch. I might be speaking a bit early on this, but there's rumors the switch 2 will bring back alot of the old style and themes that made the wii u and wii have alot of charm, just monetized and made more "modern" so it wouldn't give up hope and lump nintendos lack of self identity with xbox and PS yet, at least until the switch 2 is offically revealed and we see what it looks like

Christmas day, 2012. New Super Mario Bros. U copy on the floor, along with the packaging of the Wii U. This music fills the living room as I make a several Miis. Life is good. My copy of Nintendo Land lays still unopened on a nearby couch--it's in the back of my mind though, I still want to play it soon. 2 or 3 Skylanders lay on the floor, along with the box of the game they go with. I finish making my Mii, and just sit there looking at the screen and listening to the music for a couple minutes. What a fantastic Christmas, I think. Family's all resting or playing with their gifts elsewhere. Soon enough I pick the gamepad back up, remember how cool it is to have a controller with a screen, and exit the Mii Maker. I put in the New Super Mario Bros. U disk and succumb to several hours of pure video game fun. Ah, how life changes. Best of luck to all.

Yeah but I’m probably the only person on the planet who has made a transcription or arrangement of the Mii Maker Theme. On the other hand, thousands if not millions of transcriptions and arrangements of the Mii Channel theme have been made. So, yeah, the Wii version is definitely more popular.

There's this sorta thing about the music and the theme in the Nintendo consoles that sparks me so much joy. It has this frutiger aero influence but not quite all of it, it's like Universal Wi-Fi Comfortable videogame lobby, and that's what it is, really. My Wii U was literally my childhood. I used to make Miis with my friend all the time. We had so much fun laughing while making the funniest Miis we could. Now I’m getting a job and in college and realize how much fun I had when I was a kid playing my Wii U.

What makes these songs even better, is that this is probably the last time Nintendo ever will have this much personality, love and care built in. This is the most nostalgic Nintendo theme I've ever heard.
It's 2015, a weird 5 year old sits in front of his TV. He turns it on and what he does is create random weird miis, he just loved it. Three years later when he had his switch, his Wii U was sold. The Wii U was my first console and brings so many cool memories, Switch just feels like an space hole without music and that stuff on its menu.
The Wiiu is probably the most nostalgic thing in my life. I remember i had so much of the games, and they are just all so underrated. Damn I miss the wii u , RIP Wii u.

i got the wii u for christmas in 2013. i was a very happy 10 year old that day. it was such a great console, it’s a shame nintendo did it so dirty.

I have an intense love for the Wii U. It was the last day of school when I got it. I would leave primary (sixth grade in Honduras) and it meant a lot for my parents, so, as a surprise, my dad called my mom and told her that he had to ask me a question. He said "what's the name of that thing you want?" and, of course, I said it was the Wii U. He said he'd try to buy it in the next few months, that he promised to do so. I was happy to know that at least I could be sure that I'd have it in my hands one day, so my day went by like any other.
Hours later, like around 6 p.m, when my dad arrived from work, rain poured down and I was doing nothing, relaxing in that special day, knowing I would travel outside my country for the first time, get to see family, get to rest, and so many more good things that were to come during that summer break. But then it happened. My dad came in laughing like Santa Claus, and, on his hands, a huge box covered in a semi transparent, white plastic bag. I could see Mario through it. I remember how happy I was. I opened the thing like a maniac, and indeed, it was the Wii U, with MK8 + DLC included (I was so happy, I threw the DLC card to the trash, unknowingly. Wouldn't care until three years later, when I reflected back on it).
Thank you, Wii U. I bought so many games, and enjoyed every single one of them like I have never enjoyed anything else in life. It was more than just playing. I felt alive anytime I heard that hard drive spin, and, after it, the music. This music. It was an experience.

I’m pretty sure this was around December in 2015 but most likely 2014. My dad told me a bit before (maybe like a week or two at most) that he had a surprise for me. A couple days or weeks later, I wake up to my parents setting up the Wii U, telling me they are not ready yet. It came with mk8 and Nintendo land. I loved that thing. Xenoblade chronicles x was great. I also remember Minecraft for the Wii U and getting into arguments with online friends, and unfriending and refriending them. Such a great era. Would take this over Xbox one and ps4 any day. Not much innovation, but still a great and memorable console. The switch will probably never have as much nostalgia.
Reminds me of waking up Christmas morning in 2013 to find a brand new Wii U under the tree. My dad helped me set it up and I made mii's of my family. Those were good times :)

When i first got my wii u, it was the last 2 years of its lifespan. I bought the smash splat deluxe version, and i got hooked right away.
Smash was smash, i knew i was gonna love it from what i played before, but splatoon was a magical experience. I did NOT expect to like it as much as i did... even if it took me time to even play online.
However, before any of that... i made sure to make miis for my entire family... both in advance for smash 4 and just out of tradition.
Throughout that time, i just... wow... i fell in love with this song so much, you dont understand...
I make sure to play this every time i make a mii on switch, it was that damn impactful.
Even though the switch is thriving right now, and isnt going away anytime soon, i will never forget the glorious memories the wii u has given me.

@mering5298 nintendo is not at that level yet. The first party games still have the level of charm they did back in the wii era, there's still fragments of the charm that nintendo used to have built into the switch. I might be speaking a bit early on this, but there's rumors the switch 2 will bring back alot of the old style and themes that made the wii u and wii have alot of charm, just monetized and made more "modern" so it wouldn't give up hope and lump nintendos lack of self identity with xbox and PS yet, at least until the switch 2 is offically revealed and we see what it looks like

Christmas day, 2012. New Super Mario Bros. U copy on the floor, along with the packaging of the Wii U. This music fills the living room as I make a several Miis. Life is good. My copy of Nintendo Land lays still unopened on a nearby couch--it's in the back of my mind though, I still want to play it soon. 2 or 3 Skylanders lay on the floor, along with the box of the game they go with. I finish making my Mii, and just sit there looking at the screen and listening to the music for a couple minutes. What a fantastic Christmas, I think. Family's all resting or playing with their gifts elsewhere. Soon enough I pick the gamepad back up, remember how cool it is to have a controller with a screen, and exit the Mii Maker. I put in the New Super Mario Bros. U disk and succumb to several hours of pure video game fun. Ah, how life changes. Best of luck to all.
