Good ol' boys refers to good folks. The people who are raised to respect their elders, have some manners, look out for one another. The only people who think it is a negative term are those who have turned it into a slur to label a group of people negatively.
The line is Got a gun that my granddad gave me They(government) say one day they're gonna round up( this means the government rounding up our guns) Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck Actual in all 50 states individuals do have the legal right to us force to defend against the action in the video.
I grew up in a very small town half black half white. We all had school spirit, love of our town and would not put up with any of that big city shit in our town.
This song unites patriots and terrifies the haters because they did this.. the worldwide recognition is unbelievable. This country needed this song right now. I see a lot of healing happening in reviews and comments. God i love this country. I have been losing all hope in humanity. Thank you cmt
Jason and his town folk DO have legal authority to defend themselves. We have a Second Amendment for a reason. Take look at the people that beat the guy with a stick a few days ago for. Coming in their store and emptying their merchandise into a large garbage can on wheels. smh.
We have small towns even here in South Africa and the people are packing heat the same as in the USA. How can people be so dumb and think this is about race? We see the shit and riots in the cities since I live in a city myself. Do they think the people in small towns want high crime and other bs coming to them?
He’s quite literally just saying that we will watch out for each other. I don’t have to necessarily like my neighbor, but I’m certainly going to step in one way or another to make sure that they’re ok. Community is important. God bless you ❤
Remember in Las Vegas at his concert there was violence a shooting so he already experienced it, when he mentioned rounding our guns he talking about our government, I thought the message was don't come in our town thinking your going to destroy businesses, when there was rioters in LA the town below said don't come we'll be waiting for you, Lol the rioters didn't, there is a youtuber said he was from that town and everyone had their guns sitting on their front porches, and that nothing happened, those rioters are cowards with their faces covered so their not recognized. I loved the video, the love he's receiving out ways the backlash, CMT is now the new Bud Light what happen to freedom of speech have you heard those rappers pretty scary but they aren't banned.
I love this song, this video, and the message! He is just tired of the shit that goes on in the big cities. The burning cars, buildings, just destroying anything. These are crimes. He just says it’s not gonna happen in a small town. Everybody takin care of their block, their neighborhood, and their town. All colors of skin taking care of each other. That rioting in just stupid, no reason for all that.
You skipped the part where the farmers gave up taking care of their farms for the day to help out another farmer who is in a wheelchair. Context is important.
Jason had to remove that because the small TV station was going to sue him. Must be a democrat run station, because there the only ones who pull stunts like this. They do not want people to learn history, so they do not repeat history. There is nothing new under the sun according to God.
This song is only threatening to people who try to commit crimes in a small town. People know and care about each other in small towns. In cities people don't want to get involved when they see crimes being committed because they have no sense of ownership.
He's saying good luck to the government taking a gun (family heirloom) that he's granddaddy gave him. Constitution states I can have this gun, you say you're going to take it, come try!
1. "Good ol Boys" is EXACTLY the same as "My Homies"! Are black men "no good" because they say my Homies?? ... 2. He shows all the violence being perpetrated against innocent people in the cities. So he says try that in a small town. 3. He, like every other GOOD normal person are pissed as hell at the ugly shit going on. 4. You hear gun...."They" are the people tired of being victimized!! 5. You say the song is Threatening. That is the point! 6. Many black people are on youtube agreeing with the message of the song, which is. ... If you try hurt us we WILL resist! 7. The only people who should (and do) hate this song are criminals.
I'm a older white woman raised ina small southern town, who loves all kinds of music but don't knock the one kind of music for just telling the truth and sharing the history of my raising. Raised up right and know nonsence when we see it. God Bless You Ladies and the US of A.. ❤
Good old boys is a country term there is no race attached to that my daughters God father is a black man from the country and he calls himself a good old boy
Good old boys are those raised in small towns with manners, respect and love for their country. White, black, Native and Latino. That's the mix in my small town and there is no problem unless somebody wants to come get stupid. Then you meet the white, black, native and latino united force.
“He’s a pretty good ol boy” “She’s a pretty good ol girl” What people neglect or even refuse to understand, is that these terms apply to everyone when spoken in our southern dialect, diction. It ain’t got nothing to do with who the term is applied to. People who choose to overlook those facts, are in contradiction of their own beliefs of equality, inclusivity, and understanding/embracing other cultures. I also think another reason they refuse acknowledging southern culture, is because they have this whole idea that we are the ones they feel like they are more superior to, when they obviously aren’t, or they wouldn’t be so upset that this song slipped past them…
I don't think he was born and raised in the USA...soooo he wouldn't know how to have a truly accurate picture of what's happening here. Left wing trying to cancel the Right wing out. They failed miserably though because his song is #1 in the USA 🇺🇸 right now! 😉
There is one clip that was placed precisely that I think you are missing. It is an important example. So in small towns you can't riot or commit those crimes because they are tight-knit communities. Everybody knows and cares for everyone else. He's not talking vigilantism or retaliation. It is just self-defense. When he sings "full of good ole boys raised up right" They show a clip from Yuma where 3 men (you only see 2 in the video) enter a convenient store to rob it. A marine veteran happened to be in the store and he immediately disarmed them men and stopped the robbery. The 3 were arrested then arrested by police (also not in this clip) , but he nipped it in the bud. That's how it often works in small towns. We look out for each other and stop stuff like this in its tracks. No violence necessary aside from stopping it.
WELL LET'S SEE NOW,,, WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF A BUNCH OF LOOTERS BROKE INTO YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS, AND YOU HAD THE ABILITY TO DEFEND YOURSELF AS PROVIDED IN THE CONSTITUTION,,,,,,JUST STAND THERE????
When you asked who he's talking about the government wanting to take our guns that's why he started off verse with gotta a gun i got from my grand daddy
First off, you completely misinterpreted the lyrics and the message in this video. Secondly, all the rioting, looting burning of their own neighborhood businesses are actual news footage from tiots in LA, CHICAGO, ATLANTA and Canada. All he's saying is: DONT BRING THAT BIG CITY SHIT to a small town or you'll be dealt with. The "good Ole boy" reference just means that there are groups of guys, black ,white all races that live in small towns that look out for their community. Nowhere in the video dies it mention race. As a matter of fact 2 of the rioters were white (probably trust fund babies that Antifa or BLM hires to stir up trouble. He doesn't name them either. You need to listen to the video with an objective opinion. And not as a black man trying to read race into it. It's about criminality. Don't take that to a small town
In mosts states if i say "if you tuch me again, I'll break ur arm" you cant claim sum1 threatened bodily harm cus its a warning of self defence. IF you continue to......, i wil...... He's making the same statement.
If you assume that a song warning folks not to engage in criminal assault and vandalism is an attack on a particular race, then you just might be thinking like a racist yourself.😎
First, round them up meant government taking our guns, he’s talking about anyone trying, any color etc, he’s not speaking of blacks only, he’s showing the bs of rioting etc wanting to go into small towns. The guy in the store hitting one of two guys in store they both have guns. Do you live in the states?
Isn't threatening, is factual... the things that happen in the city won't happen in a small town where everyone knows everyone and takes care of their own...
😂😂 I love how everyone finds this song offensive... go look up David Allen Coe songs, there are plenty more offensive songs than this one of being patriotic of the flag and standing up for what's right.
The song may not be racist, but since liking a bunch of reactions by black people, I found more black people in my recommendation feed. Maybe the UA-cam algorithm is racist?
What is it with this edited video. There is a section missing in video. Injured farmer in wheelchair other farmers coming to help him. Watch the unedited version.
I wish he wouldn't have used the words good old boys... that sounds a little racist to me. But maybe I'm wrong. The song sounds like it's about them retaining their guns.
Government Wants to take away our second amendment rights to carry and own guns.... Not happening....❤ Thank you for checking out the video I enjoyed it
The fact you said Aldean and his people dont have the "Authority " to stop those rioters, shows 2 about how you dont know anything about American law or small town rural America, 1 we not only have a duty to stop a crime we have laws that say we can stop a crime if witnessed and yes rioting is a crime , and 2 ask yourself why from first riot to the last did it never happen near small town rural America?!!! Because even fools that were rioting know we will protect our towns no matter the cost.. so before speaking about who had Authority you might wanna brush up on understanding America better first.... peace
Good ol' boys refers to good folks. The people who are raised to respect their elders, have some manners, look out for one another. The only people who think it is a negative term are those who have turned it into a slur to label a group of people negatively.
He was not promoting violence he just recommended you don’t
perfection.
The line is
Got a gun that my granddad gave me

Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck

How could he not know who? I found that weird.
F.A.A.F.O IN A SMALL TOWN, PERIOD!!!!
I grew up in a very small town half black half white. We all had school spirit, love of our town and would not put up with any of that big city shit in our town.
Rap songs never threaten...lol
Jason Keep Doing You
Is it just me or isn't labelling this racist just like EXTREMELY racist in itself?
Hot take, criminals don’t have a race. 😂
This song unites patriots and terrifies the haters because they did this.. the worldwide recognition is unbelievable.

“They” the government. He means round up the gun but of course only one thing came to your mind!!
He’s quite literally just saying that we will watch out for each other. I don’t have to necessarily like my neighbor, but I’m certainly going to step in one way or another to make sure that they’re ok. Community is important. God bless you ❤
Love you and your reaction! Nothing racist about this song -- it's about protecting ourselves -- we need peace, love and God Bless!

They took that out because new station didn’t give permission!
If you are offended by this song...you are part of the problem.
The guy in the store took on two robbers with a jug of milk they were armed that really happened
Yep. It sure did. That was my hometown.
Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine! The oath doesn't expire on discharge from the armed forces of the United States!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸👋🤠

They😢😢The Government

thats not complete whole video, the ending of farmer injury everyone stops to help them.
Seems as if that was removed from the official video for some reason
First off, you completely misinterpreted the lyrics and the message in this video. We know each other in a small town. We care about each other. And we keep each other in check. All colors. Somerville Texas. Population 1500
😂😂😂 Country just got gangsta. But I like that he's saying that small town people stand on strong morals and values and ain't afraid to stand for them.
In mosts states if i say "if you tuch me again, I'll break ur arm" you cant claim sum1 threatened bodily harm cus its a warning of self defence. IF you continue to......, i wil...... He's making the same statement.
Only faces are white!
I'm a old white cowboy!

I AGREE WITH YOU...NOT RACIST
Are u death..
You need to research a lot
The least liked person in a small town is one of our own
How on earth is this threatening?
The song may not be racist, but since liking a bunch of reactions by black people, I found more black people in my recommendation feed. Maybe the UA-cam algorithm is racist?
Your just thinking it is all about the black and it isn't get a real life
The government thats who😊
What is it with this edited video. There is a section missing in video. Injured farmer in wheelchair other farmers coming to help him. Watch the unedited version.
I've seen that version of the video in others reactions, but that version is no longer available on UA-cam
The official video has changed too.
Your as crazy as all the others but everyone has our own thoughts
I wish he wouldn't have used the words good old boys... that sounds a little racist to me. But maybe I'm wrong. The song sounds like it's about them retaining their guns.
How about the person that made a song about killing and hating on the police it nothing like thatit was crazy

Government Wants to take away our second amendment rights to carry and own guns.... Not happening....❤ Thank you for checking out the video I enjoyed it
It is threatening it's promising. Taking care of our community and good ole boys means good people. Stop reaching
Threatening to criminals
Thats not evil what's
Wrong with you!
They meant government dude
The fact you said Aldean and his people dont have the "Authority " to stop those rioters, shows 2 about how you dont know anything about American law or small town rural America, 1 we not only have a duty to stop a crime we have laws that say we can stop a crime if witnessed and yes rioting is a crime , and 2 ask yourself why from first riot to the last did it never happen near small town rural America?!!!
