I feel like the Emperor could've been a bit more understanding of Angron. It would have cost him nothing to save his kin, he could have given them reinforcements and helped him take the planet. He treated him like a disobedient tool. I get he didnt want him to die, but leaving his family behind to perish would obvoisly scar Angron for life. I cant believe the Emperor didnt see this. This doesnt feel like the actions of an omnicent psycher, but the decision of a misgiuded ruler who didnt see his sons suffering or help him with his struggles.
I totally agree, my theory is that he did know, everything he did he did with the foresight that it would end with him being worshipped as a god on the golden throne, kinda like paul atriedes in dune, he didnt want to, but had to take these actions to be able to protect humanity
Think of it like this: Omniscience isn’t the ability to make 100% optimal choices. It’s just knowing EVERYTHING. Not focusing on everything. That’s a part of omnipresence. This means it would be limited to the emperor’s field of thought. It’s like having a library, with the knowledge of everything, but you can only read a few books at a time. Even if you could switch unlimited numbers of times, at the fastest speeds, the number is INFINITE; and constantly updating.
I would say that he prefers his sons prove their worth to him by at least proving that they're true leaders in any situation given to them with them having the advantage. That's why he agreed to the terms of several of his primarch sons, i.e. wanting to stay longer on the planet to finish up what they need to do or the people to be left alone from Emperor's influence.
I adore the relationship between Fulgrim and Ferrus- only a true friend would call someone a Gorgon for being ugly inside and out yet mean it with the sincerity and love of a brother lmao

Using different voices to narrate the different Primarchs is a stroke of genius! Well done Remembrancer! You have earned my loyalty and subscription to your interpretation of Warhammer 40K lore.

I'll admit, I've been delving into Warhammer content for a few years now. I've always had a hard time remembering the various lore, but playing this while I work is helping tremendously.
Thank you!! This is such a great listen while cleaning up the house!! Your voice commands one to listen!! I am also reminded that there were 2 of the emperor’s sons that were obliterated, all records lost, visages torn down. I wonder what it was that they did that was so terrible to have this done. As I am listening to the stories of Angron, The Night Haunter, and Mortarion, all of which were pretty messed up in their own right. Brutality, cruelty, and downright evil in nature. The emperor allowed them to continue and grow in their strength without even a personal interaction other than sending Russ or Guilliman to go and bring them to heal.. always made me wonder how even more evil those 2 were.
Curze, Mortarion and Angron are kind of my 3 favorites. They had the shit end of the stick and are misunderstood. Can't really blame any of them for going the routes that they did. I really have a difficult time deciding which my favorite of the 3 are. But I love them all more than Gill, Dorn and the Lion.
