Crying out of happiness for how motivated you are about the masks & how they're being so popular & saving your business- & also because they are so epic 😭💜 Thank you so much for this amazing video- I adore it & the masks 💕 The shots of you two wearing them are incredibly beautiful 💙
I've seen a few maker folks constructing sculpted masks with air filters to wear during this pandemic period. Might be another good seller to keep the business rolling.
I love these masks, watching the process of creating them and having you walk us through it is amazing and is super generous of you to share, especially since you are using this to keep yourself afloat during these crazy times. I wish I had the ability to support you and buy one of these amazing masks because of all the work you put into them! Thank you so much, hopefully one day soon I'll be able to get one from your shop! Thank you again for this amazing tutorial! Edit: An idea for another mask design, inspired by Bastet. I know you already have a mask with black and gold, but I just though one dedicated to the Cat Goddess would be quite beautiful to see.
Superb sculpt Laura. Congratulations ! Here's a tip I learned from a Gnomon tutorial years ago to avoid destroying your sculpt with a heatgun : get a dental alcohol torch (basically a small squeezable plastic bottle with a wick on top) and a can of air to freeze the oil clay back to solid. The dental alcohol torch can help you smoothen your top layer of clay way more precisely and it works great with smaller sculpts that would otherwise be obliterated by a heatgun...
I love masks, and I’m a very creative person, also good at lots of different forms of art. I want to make one of these beautiful masks, but right now, it has inspired me to design some new original characters! Thank you!
Remarkable. I heard it said once that geniuses are people who take things that are incredibly difficult & make them look really easy. You make it look sublime. Artistry & chemistry working together to create something unique. ~ ~ ~ One suggestion: Maybe you could send a couple of dozen blank cat masks to some of your artistic friends to paint their own inner Bastet.
That was enough to give me plenty of inspiration and so I thank this channel. Time to get crafty. Beautiful items you've made. What a calming and engaging presence too
AAhhh this helps so much :D I'm busy making a canine skull mask and I got stuck with the techniques for smoothing out the clay and adding details. You're AMAZING 🌟🌟🌟
Beautifully done! Quick question - Can I just use any resin mixed with fiberglass for the laminating? I have loads of this clear-coat stuff that I'd love to use.
Hello! Great video, I'm looking into doing this myself. Do you know how heat resistant the resin is once it's solid? Can it melt? And if I was to paint it with a form of automotive paint and put a clear coat over that, do you know if it would be a short lived paint job or not?
I know English very poorly, but I can say with confidence that the video turned out to be very interesting! very good quality and beautiful work. straight wow
i've watched the video before but came back because i was talking about it with some friends and said that in the future i'd want to get one of these masks for a specific cosplay idea, but that it'd need a custom paint and possibly flocking/fur texture for what i wanted. but it's definitely at the top of the list of cosplay items once i get money, if they come back in stock
Love it! Can you please do a 3/4 mask just like this but a dragon skull and with horns? Just like this one; really cool but has a minimalist vibe and could allow the wearer to sing / open his mouth and jaw. I love that it's slightly covering more than most half mask. And I also love the shape of those big eyes; they're big but because of the design it makes the wearer more anonymous. Amazing. I'm definitely gonna hit you up someday for a project when needed.
i don't either but rn i'm following the skulpting part and I'm using some knead i had for years, gonna bake it later and paint it (don't even have that head thing she put the skulpting stuff on, so i used a round stone, which has roughly the size of my head, with some aluminium foil as nose etc.)
Oh my gods I love these! I want one of these! They’re so amazing. But I don’t think I’ll be able to afford it. Being a first timer on this channel, I love this!!
Oh...my...gawd!!!!! 😻😻😻😻 This crazy cat lady needs one!!!! Oh meow meow meow!!! They're sold out. Will you be making more and how much for one? I would even buy a plain one and paint it myself with color shifting paints.
Hi, I made my first mask using a plaster bandage frame and then sculpting the face of the mask with paper clay. Do you have any videos about, or can you give me any advice as to the best way to attach a strap? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers :)
Unsurprisingly these are all sold out, or temporarily out of commission at the moment, hehe. I love the ones that have quartz's attached to them! Have you thought about attaching them like tiny lil horns on the inner part of the eyebrows?
I hope the best for all of you too sam and everyone, and i will ask for the other cat skull that you have in da shop, to see it been wearing by someone,AWESOME WORK GUYS, thanks
Awesome work... Well filmed, and informative with a ton of stuff fit into just 10min with a good balance between detail and pacing. And love the masks ofc ❤️
I have some questions about this incredible creation, first, what happens to the clay after you molded the mask, did you reused it ? Next, have you planned selling white masks ? Cause I'd love to paint on by myself and they would be more affordable than the painted ones
Her confidence in us is adorable: "Now that you're seen the process, you can make your own."
HA! HA HA!
I would honest love to give it a try actually, given if I had all the (probably expensive) tools to build up my experience with owo;;
One day :)
شكرا ولك بالمثل.
It's so generous for you to share your process. Thank you! Your work is stunning

I’m so impressed by the process, the care accorded to the details, and and the masks are obviously really beautiful

What I like about this one, and other mask that cover only the top half of the mask, is that you can still use a sanitary mask
These are amazing, wish i could afford one. So glad you doing well and finding new ways to keep afloat in these uncertain times.
Impressive Cat Skull Mask, not gonna lie.
Liked and enjoyed watching this.
And they're all sold out! Congratulations! This is such a fantastic peice.
The bronze paint job is the best version. I love the turquoise patina. Makes it look like real bronze.
Your bangs are GORGEOUS, wow.

I´m an Indsutrial Engineer student and I love how because the mold is made out of silicon you can create as many masks as you want. Amazing

Do you have any masks that aren't painted so that the buyer can paint it themselves?
Omg that’s a great idea, I hope she would sell some unfinished ones for people to paint themselves!
@@YinYangSara She has unpainted masks in black, grey and white but they're still around $155 (€130)
Oh thats a great idea!
I appreciate your passion and honesty so I leave you comment for the algorithm 😊❤️

You inspired me! I bought monster clay! I would like to make a mask similar to yours and I am glad you made a video showing how to do it.
Such a brilliant idea!
these are amazing, I wish I had the money to be able to afford the supplies to make things like this for my cosplays

Beautiful job. Did you have a link to the resin you used to cast the mold? Such impressive work.
Beautiful mask!! How do you keep the mask on without holding it up? Do you attach a string or something like that?
I hope you make more or do customs one day, I crave one to use it for my streaming. They're absolutely stunning

Oh i adore the green/blue copper one! Such a nice thing you made, well done :D
Unsurprisingly these are all sold out, or temporarily out of commission at the moment, hehe. I love the ones that have quartz's attached to them! Have you thought about attaching them like tiny lil horns on the inner part of the eyebrows?

That looks fantastic
Fantastic wauuu 👍 nice design 💜📸👍❤️💜
Do you need to add mold release, so the mold jacket doesn't stick to the silicone or the other half of the mold jacket?
Hi, thanks for the amazing video. I have a little doubt. How much of the smooth cast resin do you use for a mask like this? Thanks!
I would wants to buy one! So... perfect!
What kind of paint do people tend to use for cosplays? Acrylic?
Beautiful. Your masks remind me of a more skeletal version of the cat people from “Sleep Walkers”.
Really good content thanks so much for sharing. :) from Thailand
Amazing piece of work! :D
You're awesome and inspiring. Thanks
That is SO COOL!
Awesome work... Well filmed, and informative with a ton of stuff fit into just 10min with a good balance between detail and pacing. And love the masks ofc ❤️
