Let me know how yours goes! I am currently waiting on a countershaft and the starter idler gear to come in next week then I can start getting mine back together
My kids learn how to ride on a Honda XR 100. I picked the bike up from my ex-wife’s garage couple months ago. Thought I was going to go for a quick spin but the gosh dang piston was seized. I removed the spark plug, and noticed the spark plug was barely barely snug. Removing the spark plug revealed a thick crust of settlement. I am not sure what to do next. This video it’s pretty awesome. Thank you for the video.
Sounds like some moisture got in there, depending on how long that sat in there, might be best just to remove the top end and inspect if it started rusting the cylinder
My timing chain keeps jumping off of the top timing sprocket and I have bought multiple sprockets trying to get it running but it keeps jumping the sprocket
This video helped me and my buddy taking apart my xr. Can’t wait for mine to be done and can’t wait to see yours!

Currently doing the same thing on a 1983 xr100 that's been left outside over the winter without a spark plug in it. Your video helped out alot!

Pour some automatic trans fluid or marvels mystery oil down the spark plug hole and let it sit for a couple days and try and turn it over then
Great work!
Very well explained, thanks Man 👍 I need to do this on my Crf100 and they have the same engine, Thanks again, Greetings from Canada. 👋

Is it actually falling off the sprocket or is it jumping the sprocket teeth to make it out of time?
Safety squints wasn’t quite tight enough
@@damienperry974 Definitely was not lol
