It's not an actual vehicle in the sense that you can rely on having the mobility that you need, it's a toy you can use only on carefully planned occasions otherwise you'll need a tow truck. Let's put it as it is...it will take another 20-30 years for infrastructures to be ready for electric cars to be useful and not a pian in the ass, let's face it. And also let's talk about the fact that the world power grid will need to output 3 times the actual MW it carries...until then electric cars are just fancy toys. With that said all major car manufacturers, especially in Europe and Asia, have DOZENS of electric models ready ranging from the cheapest citycar to absurd supercars or 18wheelers but they are waiting for th emarket to be actually there, today it's not, electric mobility is making it's way as a personal city device but not as a proper car, people who own an electric car genrally have another one or two with normal combustion engines...the electric one is more of a fancy accessory. Of course electric mobility is the future but it's not "tomorrow" (rather 15-20 years from now) IMHO and very possibly a tiny company like Tesla will be outrun by far larger and more experienced competitors that also can leverage their Brand recognition in their respective market branches (for a sedan people will always prefer a BMW or Mercedes rather than a Tesla, for an offroad people will always prefer a Jeep or Land Rover, for a sportscar if you could afford it would you buy a Tesla or a Ferrari?).

Band of Brothers is the first mini series part of a 3 part anthology type thing. Band of Brothers, then Pacific, and one that is still in production right now The Mighty Eighth about the airforce, all of them about real events that happed in World War 2. It's an excellent show with an amazing production team, all three directed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
I tell people about them every chance I get. They are the best shows/mini series I've ever seem, possibly the best thing ever in the video/motion picture world. What makes explosive acceleration a selling point in a truck? Also, what is the purpose of a bulletproof exterior? Is self-driving mode capable of backing with a trailer? It's not an actual vehicle in the sense that you can rely on having the mobility that you need, it's a toy you can use only on carefully planned occasions otherwise you'll need a tow truck.
Let's put it as it is...it will take another 20-30 years for infrastructures to be ready for electric cars to be useful and not a pian in the ass, let's face it. And also let's talk about the fact that the world power grid will need to output 3 times the actual MW it carries...until then electric cars are just fancy toys.

There will be no "electric cars" without a proper electric infrastructure that can make them actually more feasable and actually reliable than now, if the car runs out of battery you're stuck so zero reliability until the range will be at least 5-600km...we already have to charge a myriad of electronnic devices, having to charge your car every day or worse 2-3 times a day is a nightmare (and if you skip one, you're in trouble).
