I am Korean. This is my car. The Korean name is a 'Avantte'. I bought this car recently, sure it was used car. I am very satisfied. This is my first car. so I searched this car english review. Hyundai make elantra or avantte on a moto of 'super normal'. Because this car is in side of cheap price and small size. so many young man in korea buy this car as their first car. Hyundai is a korea company. I proud of this brand.
Same as me I just bought one yesterday
I love the Elantra. They package the trims very well and it’s very stylish. Congratulations on your new car.
I feel like Hyundai needs to go from the old key in older Hyundai models to a switchblade key if it doesn't have keyless go.
Matthew's Car Corner ik. Mi uncles 2003 vw Passat has a switchblade key
Drew Dude my dad’s former 1996 mercedes c-class had a switchblade 😂
Awesome review i love that you actually explain and compare the differences for each trim. Super helpful
So glad you found it helpful!
Just bought this car on Friday.... light grey outside with grey inside. I freakin love it! Great little car with lots of features. Thanks for the review, for when I was still looking for a car this definitely helped :)
Glad to hear that! Congrats! What trim did you get?
Car Confections I bought the Sel and got a great deal on it too since all the 2019’s are out now. Apple car play in invaluable and don’t think I could live without it after having it lol
I have a 2016 Elantra Value Edition. I love the car. It gets about 10-12 mpg more than my 2019 Kia Rio. The only thing that I hate is the keyless fob. It is far too sensitive Way too many times I have had it in a pants pocket and sat down only to have the trunk pop open or the alarm go off While on vacation, I lost a laptop and a camera from the trunk because the lid popped open while I sat in a restaurant. I have had coworkers tell me that the trunk is open or the alarm is sounding when I sit at my desk s inside the building.
This is a very good in depth review! I was hesitant on buying one, but I just bought mine! Thanks for the video!
How do you like it by far?
Great review, and I'm glad your still enjoying your car, Mason. Drew, you should do a vid on your car.
Just bought myself one. Phantom black and black interior. I like it! Hope you enjoy yours. Good video.
Thank you! We hope you enjoy yours as well!
Have you had any issues with you Elantra?
@@betterlife1535 Nope, have driven mine almost 4,000 miles and it has been great. I love it!
I know I’ve already commented about Genesis but I’m excited to see you guys (hopefully) start doing reviews of them. Also the Elantra has been rather impressive, and i do have a bias towards Honda since my mom has had an ‘08 Pilot since ‘09 and then gave it to me last year. Btw I’m 16 so it’s been our family for literally half my life right now
Jacob Jazz How's this for a long family relationship car. I have the 1958 Cadillac my parents bought in 1960 when it was 2 years old. I WAS 1!! It's still on the road, LIFE long so Calif car. I drive it for most of my round town trips. It just turned 60 !
Not a bad first car. My first car was a 1985 Chrysler Laser Turbo that I bought in 2000. The car talked to you, "Your key is in the ignition". Stuff like that. Of course, being a 16 year old the most popular thing it said was "your fuel level is low". It was a good car but nothing like this. Congrats and good review as always.
Thanks! Just looked that car up, pretty neat! Didn't know they had stuff like that in the 80's!
It was pretty cool, people would get a kick out of it. Wasn't a bad looking car either.
Wade Dowden my buddy bought that car brand new!! We had lots of fun in that car.
Fantastic review. Very happy with my 2018 Elantra Limited.
Thanks! And congrats! I love my Elantra too
I have already ordered my new elentra . As I'm just soo excited to see my car.
It’s a great car man I have one myself
@@jjm2948 performance is amazing. I definitely compare it with Toyota.
SEL trim is completely different in the Northern Mariana Islands. We get the Push start engine button. for some reason, we dont have cruise control, no sunroof, no blind spot, so weird.
Now that you’ve had your Elantra for awhile now. Do you still like it? Which mode do you usually drive in? My daily commute is city & Hwy and my average mpg is 37; what is yours?
Yep, still like it! We do almost exclusively city driving in normal drive mode and get Middle 30's MPG 👍
Keep up the great videos! You should totally do a nighttime review of this car!
Thanks! And yeah that's a good idea!

I’m hoping to get a 2018 Elantra Value Edition today 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
How’s the radio
if anyone who owns it and reading this in 2023? please give me an advice if I should remove or renew catalyst. 60k mileage, running smooth. Some people ( in my country) say that it falls apart and ceramic dust causes immediate scuffing.
Here's an in-depth review on Mason's personal car!! Check it out, and don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed!
Buen video bro. Muy completo. Saludos desde Honduras
Gracias!
Reminds me of an Audi because of the grill
The designer previously worked for Audi
Yes! That grill definitely reminded me of something higher class
So that trim doesn’t have a DCT? How is the behavior of the automatic transmission in that one? Does it have smart cruise control or just regular?
The regular 6-speed automatic is smooth and shifts quickly. On the lower trims you have regular cruise control and the upper ones adaptive cruise
GOOD review, I have 31000 miles on my 17 SE with popular and tech packages.Shale gray, two tone silver interior. 0 problems or issues. Very happy with it. You did make one error, the glove box IS dampened. Look on the right when box is open, you'll see the damper arm attached. ENJOY YOUR NEW CAR!
Thank you! I will!
2017 Hyundai Elantra 32k. All maintennace done at Hyundai.
1) the car's fuel economy is 10% less than what the on board computer states.
2) the NU motors have know issues that haven't been corrected. Piston slap, shrapnel in oil pan, randomly throwing rods.
3) suspension parts prematurely failing.
4) steering issues.
5) even if your car is covered by warranty/recalls Hyundai of america will fight tooth and nail before they repair anything. They told me piston slap is normal on these cars. Piston slap will cause your engine to fail, it could happen in 10 miles or it could be in 110k miles.
Great review. Thanks
What's next on the Hyundai agenda and next for regular review
I enjoyed this!!!!!
I don't know! But it think the 2019 Veloster is coming soon so maybe that!
No offense, But for only $1000 more, why did you not just get the Value edition and get So Many more features. Just confused because I see you mostly film the High end trims and you bought a low end trim and I am not offensing you and you cant really go wrong with a low end trim.
Haha, no that's a good question! I would've gotten the Value Edition, but they didn't have the white/beige color scheme I wanted. And the reason my brother and I film the highest end models is so we can show you all the features possible :)
Thanks for telling Me.
Very detailed vid, thanks
Thanks!
Nice review guys
Thanks!
Lol I had a 2006 Hyundai sonata with the same exact key fob
The car that i ordered have 16 inch aloe wheels, so can i install 17 or 18 inch wheels?
Higher trims can be had with 17 or 18 wheels, so it would be fine to change them out
Please where are you located thanks
Kentucky
Nice review. But I wished you would have done the limited ultimate
What side of town this on in Lexington? Hamburg?
Beaumont Center. It's close to the airport
Once again no moonroof and power driver seat for that price, should be standard.also no push button start?
Can you do maps on it?
It still looks a bit like the last generation.
