Great review, hope you make more! I'm looking into this bag as a diaper/dad bag. In your experience, how stable can it be made to be when worn? I don't want to have it swing forward and whack my little one either when I'm bending over to pick them up or if I'm chasing them around! I'd like to carry a 700ml water bottle (Owala), the little one's water bottle, as well as other typical dad bag items. I'm worried the bottles might add too much weight which will make it more prone to swinging forward.

Looks really nice. I think the elastic side pockets kind of bring down the aesthetic slightly. But overall seems really great.

I have been on the quest looking for “The Perfect” bag to use for day excursions that my wife and I take during our travels. These day trips often are taken on small shuttle buses or by train so a small compact bag is a necessity. Thank you for your informative and at times humorous review. After watching your detailed review of this bags features I ordered one, 7L. It just arrived and it’s Perfect for my OM System OM1 with the 12-100mm attached and my 8-25mm Lens. Also my Insta 360° Camera. I also got the Accessory Holder that you bought and recommended. There is plenty of room for other items if needed. I could not be more pleased with this bag! Oh yeah I also can’t stop playing with the magnetic buckle 😅

Great review. I really like the Wotancraft gear. I have a few of these from the small pouch which just holds my Leica M3 and a lens up to the 7L. I like having a bag sized to whatever gear I have for that day.

I just purchased this bag for a trip I’m taking next year. My first impression was it was too small and I should have bought the 10L bag. The more I look at it and use it- I’m really happy I bought this one. If I bought the larger bag I’d probably fill it to the max with stuff that I might never use on a trip. Like many photographers I have a variety of larger bags and backpacks. This one is perfect for travel with my Fuji x-s20, a few lenses and a flash. Ordered one of the small clip on bags to hold my lightweight Pocket 3 and Insta Go 3.

My wife got me one for father's day...enjoy the bag...only hate the pockets on the sides they will crush a water bottle just too tight for most everything I want to put in there.

Great review! I have one too. This video surely helped in configuring the bag for my Q3.

I purchased the Wotancraft 3.5L & 7L awhile back and just love them. The 7L carries my Leica Q and Leica M10 w/lens attached along with 2 other lenses easily. I use the 3.5L for a single camera carry. I was not a fan of the dividers and replaced them with some I had laying about.

Will a 13" MacBook Pro fit in the 7L Wotancraft Pilot?

no, it will fit an 11" ipad pro, 13" macbook would be too large, you'd want to go with the 10L version.

The 10L Pilot bag is awesome as well. I have had mine for several years & it did not come with the quick pull adjustable strap. Other than that, the bags are pretty much identical. Quality made, & well designed products. I particularly like the accessory add on components. I have several camera bags & a backpack made by Wotancraft & I have not been disappointed.

Would it fit a Sony a7iv and 100-400?

I have no idea. I don’t have access to Sony gear at all. Sorry.

I've never seen a Cordura version offered on their website, how did you get that? Their site has only ever listed waxed canvas in Khaki and black anytime I have ever looked.

      From their website:
The Military Grade Cordura Fabric Delivers Style, Functionality, And A Lightweight Built
When comparing the Wotancraft Cordura Fabric with ordinary waxed canvas, the thickness is reduced by 60% and the weight is reduced by 50%. "Duraflex Hardware", also used by major brands (such as Patagonia and Mystery Ranch), is installed on the Pilot 10L to keep the weight within 1kg when empty, reserving weight for your camera and gear.
In addition to the tough and durable properties of Wotancraft Cordura Fabric, a layer of TEFLON and PU coating is added, making your Pilot water-repellent.
Light scuff marks will develop on the fabric over time and usage, leaving a "retro vintage vibe" - imprints of the adventures that you and your Pilot have gone through.

Excellent Video, Do you think that a 13 inch laptop like macbook air can fit in???

    • @MatthewMorse
      @MatthewMorse  8 місяців тому

Thanks! I don't think a 13 inch would fit. An 11 inch iPad Pro fits, but I don't see a 13 inch computer getting in there.
