I grew up in an Adventist home and my auntie's sung in choirs/chorales/accapella groups and still they play these songs every morning by gaither vocal band to jump start us each morning ....I love you and your ministry .
I've always followed Gaither music and been inspired by the old love that existed in the past band. Now, truly, I don't feel that love shared in this new band; the former oneness amongst all singing team. I'm Graced to inform this time! There's got to be an immediate change!!! 🧡 from GH

The love of God is the opposite of reckless. He is deliberate in everything he does. His grace is abundant and sufficient. It’s overwhelming. It’s not reckless or careless.
Reckless here being used in the sense that GOD would do anything, even to the point of putting himself at risk (Jesus' death) to show His love for us. He placed His reputation on the line to show us that He would do or give anything even His Son's life to save us. To that I say, Thank you, Father,Son and Holy Ghost for going to the most dangerous, risky length to save me!

That's why the song suggests that there's nothing, even dangerous heights or depths to come after and save His wayward children. He laid it all on the line. If that isn't reckless love, I don't know what is. I would imagine that even the angels must have wondered for a moment, why He would go to such lengths to save a fallen race. As much as I don't like to think about what Jesus went through on the cross, I am so glad He did.
God is Love and Truth, but our enemy loves to lie, cheat and steal. Been a GVB fan since the beginning and am delighted that they are choosing to make their mark in the Praise & Worship genre. Now in their 41st year of existence this particular chemistry of singers is among the best. These men are incredibly gifted and it is obvious that at this time, with this new project, they are choosing to reach out to a hurting world. 👏

I thought that way about this song when I first heard it as well! But God’s love is reckless in that He still gave it to us while we were yet sinners. He gave it to us knowing that we don’t deserve it, that we would mess up, stumble, fall, misuse it and not understand it! It’s beyond human comprehension. I've been reading the comments about whether or not God or His love is or could be reckless... and although I definitely see where you all are coming from, I think that the song is perfectly written in the way God gave it to Cory Asbury. As a singer/song-writer/composer I always find it interesting the words God gives me. I think the word choice is perfect because the song speaks to the reckless and hopeless nature of man and how no matter how dangerous the situation SEEMS to us, God can OVERWHELM that negative thing and turn it around for HIS GLORY. I can't pretend to know the exact feeling God gave CORY, but when I sing the song I think, how many times I've wished someone would have warned me that it would be reckless to go after them. From a FLESHLY standpoint, how many of us would actually go through all the perils CORY speaks of to go after that person. Would we climb a mountain LITERALLY? Would we, many of whom are afraid of the dark, try to go into the darkest of shadows and light that darkness? LITERALLY? How many lies have we heard but said nothing? How many doors have we known housed abusive husbands, wives, or even children and we didn't kick down a one to spread the gospel? But God will go into something that seems RECKLESS to man with ALL POWER and recover what is lost. YOU KNOW.... I've been reading the comments about whether or not God or His love is or could be reckless... and although I definitely see where you all are coming from, I think that the song is perfectly written in the way God gave it to Cory Asbury. As a singer/song-writer/composer I always find it interesting the words God gives me. I think the word choice is perfect because the song speaks to the reckless and hopeless nature of man and how no matter how dangerous the situation SEEMS to us, God can OVERWHELM that negative thing and turn it around for HIS GLORY. I can't pretend to know the exact feeling God gave CORY, but when I sing the song I think, how many times I've wished someone would have warned me that it would be reckless to go after them. From a FLESHLY standpoint, how many of us would actually go through all the perils CORY speaks of to go after that person. Would we climb a mountain LITERALLY? Would we, many of whom are afraid of the dark, try to go into the darkest of shadows and light that darkness? LITERALLY? How many lies have we heard but said nothing? How many doors have we known housed abusive husbands, wives, or even children and we didn't kick down a one to spread the gospel? But God will go into something that seems RECKLESS to man with ALL POWER and recover what is lost. He has truly been so kind to us...All God's love to you all and thank you GVB for yet another wonderful worship!
