Thanks for the Content. I am from Germany. My first Porsche was a Cayenne Turbo S from 2006. After 200 tkm i have bought a 2016 Cayenne S Diesel. I have compared my Cayennes with other SUVs, but no way. Porsche Cayenne is the best SUV i can buy for Money. Guys have fun.
I was listening to Nora Jones on my McIntosh 462 amp connected to my Klipsch Cornwall IV this evening when my wife was about to go out in our 2021 Cayenne GTS. I walked her to the garage to listen to the cold start. It never gets old. It’s Mozart and Beethoven in one.
As a owner of 10’ gts, good to see this comparison. Thank you. It is so hard to change gts stock wheels because of its beauty, I got the 20’ Techart rims and it delivers proper performance for 400 hp n/a engine.
I just picked up my 2014 GTS today 72k miles and absolutely flawless. I am talking not a blemish scratch or anything. Was 1 owner vehicle in Florida its whole life ( I love in MA) It was exactly the one I wanted NA V8 last year before the V6 turbo. I'm in love I friggin love it !
I personally think the sweet spot of the Cayenne GTS legacy is now the S2 model with the early NA V8 (before the Turbo V6 took over)...that is a great combination of exterior styling and a tremendous and great sounding engine.
As a hardcore air-cooled fan, I am continually shocked at how much I love my '10 GTS. I shopped for 957s because they look the best to my eye and I load mine up all the time, appreciate the extra space in these early trucks.
I'm newly inducted into the Porsche family with a '23 Cayenne GTS. Practically the same spec as in the video, Quartzite Gray with gloss black accents and black satin spyder rims. Simply incredible machine and pure joy to drive. The honeymoon phase is still in full swing, I just stare at it in my garage; it's so beautiful.
I have a 2008 Cayenne Turbo S with GTS styling, flairs, skirts and twin spoiler, all in black. It also has 21” black Cayenne Sports Plus wheels. The look is 100% gangster, with limo tint rear, side and panoramic roof plus Uk legal front side tint it’s intimidation in automotive form. Performance wise 603 BHP and a clean round 700 torque leaves plenty in reserve.
Very good bumper to bumper comparison Guyen, its also helps that both vehicles are the same colour. Kudos to the owner of the 2008 model as he has kept the car in mint condition for the age.
Thank you for this informative review! Recently purchased a ‘10 GTS Design Edition 3. The car absolutely rocks. Lava Grey Exterior, Deviated red stitched dash, OEM Performance Exhaust & factory blacked out Krypton headlights. Puts a smile on my face each day!
I've only had my 957 GTS since January and I can't stop driving it! It takes a boat load of petro but people just view you differently when you step out of a Porsche. 👍🏽
Recently got a ‘13 GTS, first Porsche and Euro car, and love it! Honestly I’ve always been against buying euro cars let alone used. But having done research, this model isn’t all that bad. Hoping to keep this long term!
As a person who is considering getting a used Cayenne Within the next six months i love the comparisons of these two vehicles. Although I am most likely considering getting a S model I am not entirely ruling out getting a GEN 1GTS. Currently driving a Dodge Durango RT with the 5.7 V8. Thanks for posting this video. Subscribing now 👍🏽
I have a 2009 GTS. I love this car. The new models are certainly great, but for me the older model alone is visually much nicer. It will definitely be a classic.
great review and comparison. maybe I am crazy but I think the e1 GTS looks better than the new one....more elegant and sporty at the same time. the new one is more hip hop concert and the older one you can go to the opera and not be out of place and a hip hop concert and blend in :))
I have an 08 gts and my wife has an 06 base model besides the power the vehicles are the same, don't shame yourself for not affording a v8 because I enjoy the base v6 just as much (especially the milage)
Hey, looked up your channel again cause I have a question. I could’ve sworn my 2021 Cayenne GTS had Apple Car Play but I now can’t find it. I rarely drive it as it’s my wife’s DD. Ty.
It’s there. My wife constantly alters my settings so get used to it. She parked her Audi S8 and now lives in my Cayenne GTS and Macan Turbo Ugh With two radar detectors and the ability to cry on demand she walked away from a 135MPH speed trap. I would likely be in jail!
As an owner of '07 S I think it's a sweet spot! I chose S instead of GTS, because of the obnoxious grill the latter one has and also there isn't a jump in the performance between the two.
Good efforts, Thank you for the comparison I like Cayenne ,I have one Cayenne s. Please continue good work. Can please give 928 some importance it ismy love. Can you give complete review. Your explanation is amazing. Thanks
The original Cayenne GTS is a great vehicle for somebody who isn't really an SUV person but could use the utility and space. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you drive one.
I was able to buy a 2008 GTS in Red full option with 145k km on it that has a good service history. Never been too much of a car guy but damn, I am now. What an incredible piece of engineering and very usable with a family of 4. It's practical but also fun for dad. Can highly recommend. Be prepared to pay for petrol though ^^
Hi dear, thanks for your practical experience shared here. It would be more helpful if you could let know about the exact fuel consumption by this machine per litre petrol. Thanks
I prefer anything up to 2018 in the cayenne series I love the first generation and second generation, My gripe is if you’re going to buy a German luxury SUV it should be made in Germany and they’re not made in Germany anymore they’re made in Slovakia but I just think it’s sad!
While they may not be direct comparables, I am now torn between keeping my 2010 BMW X5 diesel, and trading it for a 2010 Cayenne GTS. I'm hoping maybe someone can help me make a decision. I'm torn knowing the 957 has the offroad potential, the looks and the rarity, but the X5 with some relatively minor modding will leave the cayenne in the dust, speed wise, while also posting nearly double the MPGs... someone help me decide lol
Somewhat minor, but the fiberglass covered option panels and that horrid analog clock poking up disruptes the beauty of the smooth, uncomplicated dash and ruins these newer models for me. I'm forever in love with my 2010 cat deleted/straight-backed Turbo S (78kmiles). She bad and, yup, her interior is classic and elegant.
the 957 GTS is the best looking cayenne of all time, the newer cars are too fat and generic. it looks like it wants to punch you in the face. AND it sounds amazing, the only downside is the boring interior. rare cars too.
Just bought a new to me 2021 GTS… what an amazing vehicle - an SUV should not be this sport or this much fun!! Drives like a sports car! And the exhaust!!! Porn!
For me is the design of the cayenne 2008 is more powerful and more beautiful.

That V8 with Sport Exhaust sounds amazing!

Yes, we LOVE the stock GTS E1 wheel.
14 NA V8 GTS here. Absolutely amazing. Still blown away by the handling for such a heavy vehicle. It's voodoo LOL

For reliability I would want one for 2009 or 2010 v6 cayenne

My first ever UA-cam video was my old Gen1 Cayenne with a 6 speed manual. These were some special vehicles!
Most definitely!

I'm enjoying my 958 turbo very much, and I almost had a 958 GTS but the dealer sold it before I was able to get there to buy it
Thank you for this informative review!
Recently purchased a ‘10 GTS Design Edition 3.
The car absolutely rocks. Lava Grey Exterior, Deviated red stitched dash, OEM Performance Exhaust & factory blacked out Krypton headlights.
Puts a smile on my face each day!
Good choice!
Smiles Per Gallon! Enjoy!
2 years later, come here, see this, i have similar, i think mine is number 49, do you know yours?
I've only had my 957 GTS since January and I can't stop driving it! It takes a boat load of petro but people just view you differently when you step out of a Porsche. 👍🏽
Right on!
My 2014 Cayenne GTS (last 4.8) and 2018 Macan Turbo (3.6 L TT) are my two favorite daily drivers.
Call me crazy but I still prefer the look of the 957! #LSRPCA
You're not alone.
Especially 08-10
@Ruthlessgod1 free fire name wow thats awesome same as the turbo .
As an owner of a 2008 GTS, manual, I have to say, I wouldn't trade my 6 speed for anything. ;-) Her growl makes me happy every time!
A rare bird to boot!
@@PorscheClubofAmerica 1 of 101!
2008 sounds waaaay better!
The most important divide is my 08 GTS is a six speed manual. It’s a blast. I would not give up the manual for twin turbos. Save the manuals
You own a unicorn!
Do you still own the manual GTS? I am looking for 957 GTS's, and a manual one would be wicked sweet.
Recently got a ‘13 GTS, first Porsche and Euro car, and love it! Honestly I’ve always been against buying euro cars let alone used. But having done research, this model isn’t all that bad. Hoping to keep this long term!

Great choice!! I love my 04' "S"
I still think my 14 GTS is the sweet spot
My '08 GTS six-speed puts a smile on my face as I push the gears through their paces. Great fun and much pleasure.

2008 Cayenne is a good looking truck u find one this clean for the right price it’s hard to pass up the custom exhaust would be a must

Excellent presentation! Well spoken, also appreciated the exhaust sound bursts !! NOW I REALLY WANT ONE ❤️🙏‼️🚗👍🏁

They also make prochargwr kits for the v6. N/a v8 has to high compression for forced induction. I want a turbo
Hey, looked up your channel again cause I have a question. I could’ve sworn my 2021 Cayenne GTS had Apple Car Play but I now can’t find it. I rarely drive it as it’s my wife’s DD. Ty.
It should. Might even have wireless Apple Car Play. Refer to manual.

Nice video... I own first gen of cayenne, model S 9PA, and I love this car...
Still have my 2005 Cayenne S with 250k Just oil changes an about 25 sets of Michelin’s 😳
As an owner of '07 S I think it's a sweet spot!
I chose S instead of GTS, because of the obnoxious grill the latter one has and also there isn't a jump in the performance between the two.
As fun as my 2008 GTS was, my 2009 Turbo S is just better. PDCC is the *must* have option. GTS still sounded better though :)
PDCC E1 GTS 😉
I live in Scotland,I’ve had a Range Rover vogue it was good 2008 diesel,now I’ve got a 2009 X5 diesel but I really want a petrol V8 GTS, thanks 😊

Best Carrera 996 Type1
Brilliant video, thanks

If the GTS is the ultimate version, than what is the turbo version considered?
Id say to each their own. They are all good. Just pick which flavor

I never knew I needed an early Cayenne until I saw this. For someone who hates SUV’s, I’m finding myself pining for a 957 GTS.
The original Cayenne GTS is a great vehicle for somebody who isn't really an SUV person but could use the utility and space. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you drive one.
Classic looks of the old cayenne is definitively more "Porsche"

does the driver seat still move back when you shut off the engine and vice versa?
Yes it does.

The answer is always Porsche my friend
08 Cayenne turbo s is the best i have one
The 955/957 are better built and have better capability.
Nice Video - Sadly you didn't showed a manual GTS ...
So hard to come by. We drove one a few years ago, was really cool.
Which has a more reasonable engine?
4.8 V8 plagued by bore score issues here in Canada…😥
I wonder if it isn't the cold weather and oil viscosity.
Oh really? I heard that was the 4.5 problem only?
I believe it was for the non turbo version
I think a turbo or Turbo S would be better if you are using it for off-roading use.
💯 agree on wood comment
the cicadas really sell it!
They were everywhere! Just about as loud as the V8s.
2021 definitely much better

What we say every time we drive one :)
My dealer told me that the Macan is the overwhelming best seller.
Yes, Macan's are selling like "hot cakes"!
