That’s right, cooks are the best! I became the clan cook because most people don’t like doing that and I’m actually enjoying it! Thanks for the love, dude!
Damage reduction is not so linear as you suppose :) I.e. a inplace attack that is supposed to do 22 damage without any protection, do 8.7 damage with a 152 slash protection and 7 damage with a 214 slash protection. This make coocking still usefull, but not SO usefull.. :)
D, I have been watching you since New World content. You and your crew are like video game scientists. Always informative and keeping us abreast of your “scientific” findings and discoveries. As usual nice work!
I think the crafting is good for the game and they have done that right honestly needs polish and stuff, My biggest problem will be if they do not put in a NPC Trade post in the game so that everyone can make money as you won't sell tier 1 weapons armor food or clothes to anyone in the game selling it to a NPC trader for the greater good is rather than you just throwing it out. Two I think they will need to make exterrier maps from the normal servers to come to for PVP and PVE for fight for your king or Queen to gain your clan renown or something else and you also have to bring supplies as the gatthering for resouces in these regions is slow and difficult so without supplies you will loose.
actually I find it a lot easier to take advantage of the special attacks the different weapons offer. grab different one hand weapons and a shield and some two hand weapons. unleash the special attack of your first weapon, switch weapon and unleash next special attack, switch weapon and repeat. this way the enemies barely can hit you or unleash magic on you
Videos would benefit from more detail. What's the names of the three slashing foods you'd recommend stacking for bears? I heard one, maybe I just missed the other two.
Yea you make it sound easy once again, but you have t2 plate, and food that buffs slash damage.I am still in chainmail, I have not gotten any recipes for slash buff food yet either. I need to solo bears to get fine leather so I can make plate. Im sorry but this is not helpful for a solo player, only for a player with a huge clan who is out alone one day. And to make the porridge you are eating? You need F*cking bear meat. Great tip.
For one. The showcase was to show the value of using the right recipes and how much Damage reduction is in play. Also no one was recommending that porridge as it is the worst slash resistance food in the game. And there are others like the trail pies that are much easier to craft. As a soloist you can use what I just talked about to reduce the damage you take from any enemy your fighting as long as you understand the damage type. If you’re a soloist, instead of trying to do everything yourself, you can leverage the materials you find with clans that already have the technology you’re looking for. Recipes included. And from there create a situation for you to win. You also don’t need fine leather to make plate. T1 plate is made with regular iron and leather made from regular hides. Steel plate the t3 is what needs fine leather. I’m wearing wrought iron which uses boiled leather from t2 hides. I’m wearing t2 plate which is about a 15-20% increase in defense from t1. Which if you have t1 plate you can use the cheap desserts to offset your lack of armor. The same applies if you can only make mail. Mail with the bonuses from the cooking overall makes for an easier experience.
How to become rich Step one. Spawn as a rich kid. Step 2. Throw money at all your problems. Step 3. Make your money make money. Same concept. You need to have what you're trying to get first in order to get it more. I kill bears with starter gears no buffs. But it is skill spam stun lock and kite.
Tier 1 plate doesn't need anything fancy. It's just time and work. Porridge doesn't need bear meat either BUT to process barley you need a leather strip to build the grindstone (or however it's called), so you have a half a point there.
Combat in this game is lots of fun. I have and play the game. I dont make guesses if I have not play the game. Sense I play the game I can say it's lots of fun combat as well
Oh man as soon as i noticed cooking was like valheim ive always stayed stacked on food. Wolves, bears, i can survive against. Granted im still not great and have to run around things. It's the dang zebian I'm on the struggle bus with
_"... database, I'll put the link into description"_ O rly? Are you sure🤪? That little detail aside, great content, this one is really interesting indeed.
But yet still didnt kill the bear solo using method shown. From my understanding yoy can come across bears early on, so what is the minimum armour and weapon to take on a bear
No cheese, no slash res food, I can do black bears with difficulty wearing butted chain and jack plate 1 pieces + spiked mace and steel viking shield 1. Using the shield & mace abilities to stun, get hits in, then run out the CD. It's a close thing - not just going toe to toe, really gotta work for it Having proper slash resist food prob makes it a lot easier
I've been looking for the fireball spell. I'm in the Kerys area, mostly around Bronyr, if anyone knows of a place around there to get the fireball spell.
So.. you made a video about solo'ing tough enemies without magic/glitches/cheats.. but you are unable to solo a tough enemy... because it simply doesn't add enough to actually make a difference in the solo realm. Brown bear still gonna wreck you in t4 plate without cheese.
Solo it’s actually kinda fun… it would be better if it had better sync and maybe some head shot mechanics and perfect block or something but it’s kinda fun once you get into it hahah
@@Dante_S550_TurboBro I really could care less. I'm having fun. It sounds like you're not. That sucks, but you can go play something else instead of crying about it on the internet

Syrups are so important for fighting casters, those resists are great.
I noted the damage protections of different foods, but never considered just how impactful those protections could be. THANK YOU!

No bears were harmed in the making of the video...
"To start im in T2 plate....." haha oh ok so end game...
Not to mention the food he's using needs to be made with bear meat.
@@Dante_S550_Turbo Now there is a tip I would have watched this video for...
Just got to get good at the dsync blocks and doge (run out of range with your shield out)
actually I find it a lot easier to take advantage of the special attacks the different weapons offer. grab different one hand weapons and a shield and some two hand weapons. unleash the special attack of your first weapon, switch weapon and unleash next special attack, switch weapon and repeat. this way the enemies barely can hit you or unleash magic on you
Yeah, this is groundbreaking. I can see a Google spreadsheet in our near future lol
Wow. Great content.

That porridge doesn't require bear meat. It's onion and barley.

@vmasing1965 don't even need the grindstone, it uses raw barley from picking it. ^.^.

To solo this, you need food that drops from this.
Also, in T2 plate

I try but I just can’t get into this game. The combat looks so bad lol
That's ok. Don't feel rushed, this game will be around for years.
The combat in this game looks....boring as hell.
The Devs have acknowledged that and said what we currently have is a placeholder.
