I feel the same but it’s a long road ahead man. This game will be a niche game as most people want the theme park hand holding and that’s fine. Sandbox games will never be mainstream because it takes more work to have fun but the social and creative potential leads to incredible immersion. I was with about 80 other players consecrating a church in the Danu RP server and it was incredibly fun.
Happy for you, that you're enjoying it. I really wanted to, but i couldn't and it shows also for the majority. All the points you mentioned apply to so many games... and i hear myself saying wayy to often "this game has potential". Said that about New World too. There are just to many flaws, which should be imo basic mechanics. Combat is really fricking dog shi*, not able to craft or build with having resources in chests, not able to disassemble crafted items. You literally just throw them on the ground and so on... Game devs need in comparison to other small companies so much time, to solve a bug. They stated on the discord server for weeks "investigating ___" the same bug. Now i'm playing another survival mmo game and all the flaws i just mentioned, they either had the mechanics already in the system or just fixed 76 bugs. 2-3 weeks after release. I'll come maybe back in 2 years
I'm currently playing solo -- I'm loving it but I never rush to end game. Even while markets aren't in the game yet there are shard discord channels that allow folks to arrange trades. I do hope they will make the right choices and keep the vision alive and won’t bulge for the younger public who are not used to these kind of games and the “rewards” system.
I watched until about 11:22 and I understand your perspective perfectly. You love this game because there's no level to hit max or anything like that. It's essentially life in a video game where your building communities, kingdoms, religion, etc with actual players! Even going as far as to say there will prob be people you can hire to stand guard at your castle until you return and shit like that. Buttttttttttttttt this game will come no where near close to the playerbase Ashes will bring in. For starters, the combat for this game can improve but it'll be no where near close to touching the combat we'll have in ashes. That along with many other things such as Ashes feeling and playing like an actual MMO and not primarily a survival/crafting game will def keep this game very niche. This is my opinion of course and who knows maybe this game could be the biggest game ever............ but highly unlikely lol.

I’m happy to finally find an MMO with a very mature player base. I believe this is a game most people currently under the age of 30 will not understand or like, which is great IMO. Keep the children occupied playing their flashy, tab-target, rainbow VFX garbage games so they can stay out of mine. Keep up the content D!
Well it sounds like your journey thru MMO's is much like mine except I played them for what they were until it wasn't fun anymore. I started with eq 1, 2 progressed to Wow, on to Conan as well as new world. Try several others for short periods but I was left wanting. I turned to survival games like 7 days to die then on to ark ascended, scorched earth and had just started with the center when pax came out. I am cautious when I join a new game that promises many things but I will say, pax dei has the makings of something great and I am here to find out. I hope you are right........so far it is
No way! Totally do not agree that this will be better than Ashes of Creation...I just can't see it in any facet. The only thing I can give Pax Dei is that you can build amazing structures. Combat is awful (From my experience in Alpha). This is extremely grindy (from my experience in Alpha). I have to see so much added to pax dei for me to want to give it another try. With that said, I respect your opinion and all those who do enjoy it, I think that is awesome. I do wish success for pax dei.
My thoughts are this: It takes more than just an amazing game to be a forever game. It takes a strong world with a unique identity. Even if you never played video games, you probably heard of Skyrim, for example. 30 years of Elder Scrolls lore make people feel like Tamriel is a real place. Then you load into Elder Scrolls Online and maybe it's kind of crappy in some ways. But it feels real. With a game like this, it's just another "Well that's cool" sort of feeling. But not like the kind of an IP that could have books or movies made off of it. Genshin Impact managed to pull that off. New World in many ways fell flat despite being technically superior in many ways to most other MMO's - because people couldn't get that sticky feeling that it is a digital rendering of a real place. Get people to fall in love, and they'll overlook the flaws. Get them enamored based on good looks, and that will wear off even if those looks are out of this world. I'm excited - but with reservations. We'll see! Also hello Demone & good to see you keeping your content going. 🙂
There's way to many negatives in this game to include pay walling building blocks behind 40 to 50 dollar dlc's. Insane grind, I'm not getting this game I'll wait for light no fire
The game is really fun (400+ hours in) but it's to early to know how this will develop. There is so much that can make or break this game. Let's see how it looks in a year and most importantly what will be the monetization structure they go with. Combat and monetization will be what makes or kills this game. They got the building down for sure but let's not jump the gun here.
Idk how many times I've heard a dev talk about all the crazy stuff that's gonna be in their new game and then oops... all the games in the past that couldn't do all of it were right- it's too hard, too expensive, dev went bankrupt and screwed us out of our money, etc. I hope this game gets it all done. It looks good. Sounds cool. But I've heard this story before 🤷♂️
I haven’t played this game but it looks fun the only thing holding me back is combat system atm. I like pvp and combat it’s what I enjoy. Once they fix that I’m all in !
I was respecting your videos till I saw this. When people don't do what make our real life community better. This is a game. When it gets hard people will quit. Gold doesn't buy food. 👍😁
When I think back it has been a long time first was EverQuest 1999 to 2004, EverQuest ll 2004 to 2004, WoW 2004 to 2010, Beta Lineage ll. I did not buy it moved on. Beta Horizons The only good thing about Horizons was I met some great people . Perfect world I don't know how long moved on to Forsaken. Played lots more New World was a disappointment. I have great hopes for Pax Dei. I really am loving it so far. Just hope it's not another New World. WE will see.
Dark and LIght... best survival game with potential (npc, factions, etc) ever made.. and left to in the dark.... TY SnailGames for messing that up! lol
AGREE but they need to work on the summon to home shrine. if you go and farm things from afar, only to gate or teleport back to your home. then why have wagons and horses mules to carry mats stuff, just go out naked farm mats and teleport home, That they need work on. i for one love to set up ambush of caravans and try to steal there stuff. or the players will need hire mercs to get protection when they go farming, BUT the gate back home ruins this,
@@MaxxumassI've been playing Pax Dei since EA launched and I'm still enjoying the game and I don't plan on stopping as long as my computer allows it. I'm just planning a little break in a few months for the AoC alpha. If you don't believe me, go to my channel and watch the game videos.
We took less than 1 week to get "max Gear" that was available. In every job... this game is Minecraft 2.0 There was no content after city was done. Crafting was max.
but why all that building if its empty, i always miss that in building games, the possibility to have npc's guards that patrols and npc's to work like in bellywright, only problem in bellywright is that is not online. at least give me a npc wife, lol.
you explain the game as if all u say it has to offer, remember never bite off more than you can chew and don't hold any game to a high expectation especially these days
It has great potential, that's for sure. Loving it so far, seems dead though at the moment :D Waiting for combat changes to be fair, as it's the worse combat feel since 1962 pixels.
Idk man. I don't know of a player only regulated game that hasn't struggled hard at launch and taken years to salvage or just outright died. I have a hard time believing this game will be any different, especially if it goes subscription based at full release. I'd love of it if it did flourish and become one of the best MMO's of all time, but if that player base dwindles after a month after full release like most games do, then the game dies that much faster.
I hope you're right because you sound so hyped, but almost all the things you're geeking over are ideas that aren't implemented. If they can do it, that'll be hype, but there's almost no indication that they will succeed in pulling off any of these ambitious ideas.
I just hope they make pvp more open and more immersive i know they plan on moving it into safe zones eventually with a balanced sytem I believe this game is unmatched i like it has pvp but man we got to travel all the way to the pvp area …
I feel you but at this time combat is still shit since they are focused on building shit not the actual action PVP and mob mechanical & technical. All we can hope for now is only this really has the potential and I only love how they don't do FOMO for this game.
It’s insane to me how many “old school mmo players” this game has locked in a chokehold when it literally has almost no mechanics, no systems, just a barebones crafting gathering and building. I feel like that says something about the boomers who cry about every game coming out being bad lol

I'm excited - but with reservations. We'll see! Also hello Demone & good to see you keeping your content going. 🙂
my dude glazing this game like its the second coming of jesus christ
Hallelujah!
AMEN
Which it really is !!! 😍😍😍 amen
All hail the Prophet of Pax Dei!
boy is capping 😂
There's way to many negatives in this game to include pay walling building blocks behind 40 to 50 dollar dlc's. Insane grind, I'm not getting this game I'll wait for light no fire
The game is really fun (400+ hours in) but it's to early to know how this will develop. There is so much that can make or break this game. Let's see how it looks in a year and most importantly what will be the monetization structure they go with. Combat and monetization will be what makes or kills this game. They got the building down for sure but let's not jump the gun here.
You don't understand how much I was to fall in love with this game demone
This sounds good! I am likely going to be a bandit.
How did New World work out with the same speech?
I was respecting your videos till I saw this.
When people don't do what make our real life community better.
This is a game. When it gets hard people will quit. Gold doesn't buy food. 👍😁
Love it!
Thats an ad.
Oh God, I thought he was about to announce another shot at making a game. Phew
It will be such a Glorious Dei!
TY SnailGames for messing that up! lol
Encouraged by your review. I was going to hold off for a bit longer but damn, I'm going to give it a try now!!
AGREE but they need to work on the summon to home shrine. if you go and farm things from afar, only to gate or teleport back to your home. then why have wagons and horses mules to carry mats stuff, just go out naked farm mats and teleport home, That they need work on. i for one love to set up ambush of caravans and try to steal there stuff. or the players will need hire mercs to get protection when they go farming, BUT the gate back home ruins this,
Mate this game has made me 100 or more mates in the month Ive been playing its amazing and I cant wait to see whats coming 😁👍
Have you looked at nightingale?
After years of playing EVE, I found Pax Dei and I also think it will be my last mmo game
2 weeks later u quit like everyone else
@@MaxxumassI've been playing Pax Dei since EA launched and I'm still enjoying the game and I don't plan on stopping as long as my computer allows it. I'm just planning a little break in a few months for the AoC alpha. If you don't believe me, go to my channel and watch the game videos.
We took less than 1 week to get "max Gear" that was available.
In every job... this game is Minecraft 2.0
There was no content after city was done. Crafting was max.
Man that’s a WILD take considering the mixed reviews on this game & it having the one of the worst combat systems ever.
but why all that building if its empty, i always miss that in building games, the possibility to have npc's guards that patrols and npc's to work like in bellywright, only problem in bellywright is that is not online. at least give me a npc wife, lol.
you explain the game as if all u say it has to offer, remember never bite off more than you can chew and don't hold any game to a high expectation especially these days
The problem is we can not be a normal person that will play 4 to 5 hours a week and have a life and still be able to enjoy MMORPG
40 bucks is a bit too much, I'm not willing to pay that much for something still in work
It has great potential, that's for sure.
What about your mmo bud
I hope you're right because you sound so hyped, but almost all the things you're geeking over are ideas that aren't implemented. If they can do it, that'll be hype, but there's almost no indication that they will succeed in pulling off any of these ambitious ideas.
True, there's no indication that we'll even be alive tomorrow, but I got faith! Let's get it!
I can’t wait for wayward realms.
Ok ik wil play it also forget all other mmo
too much cope about a DOA game. the combat alone would take years to fix
my boy really is all in or not in at all
I played now 201 hours and still not burned out , love the game, play it with couple friends , for me game nr 1
Are you done with wuwa or what ?
I want to eventually be able to tame a dragon in this game.
Surprised you aren't playing Once Human.
Devs are implementing voice chat :)
I just hope they make pvp more open and more immersive i know they plan on moving it into safe zones eventually with a balanced sytem I believe this game is unmatched i like it has pvp but man we got to travel all the way to the pvp area …
I'll do a vid on what pvp they are doing, the whole world will actually be pvp enabled in the future!
MO2 has all the systems this game needs, but these devs are trying so hard not to "do what others did" lol....
damn bro i wanna try this game but once human has my life in a choke hold😂
Today's video sponsored by....pax dei
Roses are red Violets are blue I will pax dei all dei and you will too
now thats hell of reach lmaoooo
All I expect this game to become is streamer armies crushing normal players
I feel you but at this time combat is still shit since they are focused on building shit not the actual action PVP and mob mechanical & technical. All we can hope for now is only this really has the potential and I only love how they don't do FOMO for this game.
Combat changes in bound!
Bro, seriously, do some other games, don't just put all your eggs in this basket
Disagree
It’s insane to me how many “old school mmo players” this game has locked in a chokehold when it literally has almost no mechanics, no systems, just a barebones crafting gathering and building. I feel like that says something about the boomers who cry about every game coming out being bad lol
