No, I did not lose a bet, but the foundation of Handbag Husband is to follow along as we learn more about the Hermès brand, develop relationships with our sales associates from one side of the globe to another, and pursue some amazing handbags. Thanks for the roundup video. It is interesting to hear your point of view as US tourists. I leave in Luxembourg, tiny country in Europe and my H shop is the size of a shoe box and very competitive given the number of extremely wealthy people per square meter. I shop when travelling (airport or boutiques) and simply do not put unnecessary pressure on myself. One thing to consider however is that both the US and Asia have a lot of non quota bags drops online; which we do not have in Europe generally speaking. That is most likely why you felt like you could purchase them if you asked for them and they were available. I personally do not even bother asking for bags when shopping in Paris. Fun fact: went to Capri once and bought a pair of sandals. Asked to make a wish, and they let me. The following summer, they called me and I got offered a B25 sellier. It just gets to show that things simply happen when they are meant to be 🙃
