I always thought that the sculk blocks originated from the End, since they fit the End's color theme (dark aquamarine + light yellow), but apparently the devs said it's just a coincidence.

imagine surviving in a mod where deep dark constantly grows, slowly infesting the loaded chunks forcing you to either migrate constantly or live within the deep dark infestation edit: because people keep talking about using walls or fire, lets add mobs capable of extinguishing fires or forming a "portal" between walls to let deep dark pass through

If I remember correctly, the warden has the most health in the game and can one-shot a full netherite player, so it would def be stronger than the Enders Dragon. If they fought, it might be location dependent. The Ender dragon can go through or remove blocks, has crazy knock back, can fly, and has projectile attacks. I don't know if the warden has Knockback Resistance or anything else to help deal with the Dragon other than its raw strength and health.

I really hope they make the portal functional at some point, make it lead to the abyssal dimension that resembles the aberration map from Ark. Maybe make it where light sources don't work and you have to rely on the soft glow of the environment

The end would honestly look so much cooler if the islands were made from sculk. Even the chorus fruit trees look like they fit into the sculk biome. And plus, how many people actually build with endstone?
I hope when we get an end update we get some deep dark esque features incorporated since the end and skulk are clearly linked. Maybe we get a harder dragon fight with skulk and wardens present or a skulk biome with new trees and end stone structures
This is how End should look. If you go thru portal after defeating Dragon you can teleport to other world what looks like that but textures of everything are black. There would be dark forest from there you could take darkness wood and etc. It would be full of hostile mobs. It would had too dangeons with bosses and loot. This update would give us new: mobs, bosses, items, potions, armor, weapons and much more. It sound like good old minecraft mod.
The difficulty of the end just went from Lv.10 to Lv.100.
