My FIRST time making a whole Turkey 🦃 …and it came out PERFECT

- My journey to achieving the “perfect” Turkey 🦃🔥
I went into this mission with the goal of making a Turkey that was:
🤌 Flavorful
💦 Moist
🌞 Beautiful Golden Exterior
After doing a TON of research, I put together what I devised to be the dream team combination to achieve that and I think I came pretty dang near perfection. (I still want to work on getting the skin a bit more even.)
This was one of the most juicy, moist and FLAVORFUL birds I’ve ever had…& we barely had any leftovers at all.
If you’re interested in getting the exact method, be sure to subscribe to my Substack so you get it as soon as it’s posted!!

Well done! Good idea to add brown sugar on the dry rub and gotta admitnI'm a bit surprised with the brushed mayo layer you added! Verybinteresting 👌 well done!
Where the haters at now!?? This looks wonderful and my mouth is watering! We need the recipe!!
Thank you 😊 here is the full recipe: open.substack.com/pub/flavorsbyale/p/the-turkey-has-entered-the-building?r=2urrd9&
Is the recipe for the pomme purée on here too? I don’t see it. Also I love your channel!
I don’t think she has haters. How could someone hate on her
The haters are on Instagram.
The dry brine usually goes on first then the butter. Would have thought the butter would prevent the dry brine from penetrating the turkey. Huh… will have to try that technique
Yes please! That looks phenomenal Ale 🤤 Biased or not, I don't doubt they were right! Nailed it, trust in the skills you've earned cause you've got this!
Aww thank you very much!! ❤ here is the full recipe: open.substack.com/pub/flavorsbyale/p/the-turkey-has-entered-the-building?r=2urrd9&

@@FlavorsByAlethank you, but please do me a favor and live it up for me instead!! 🙏
The ignitor in the oven busted... we found out trying to make cake last night. But I'd be glad to live vicariously through yours ❤️
I like lemon inside it
Perfect!!! Did your damn thang thang I like that
Looks good and yes I do
I love that you included sugar as if it was a wet brine. I'm going to try this with a spatchcocked turkey so I can cook the dark meat a little longer. This looks perfect. Thank you Alex! ❤
Perfectly done. I went with a dry grind as well this year, and it was spot on. I hadn’t considered the mayo, but I would next year :-) What was also, super impressive was the slicing and prep! I need to step up my slicing game next year. Looks amazing!
THIS LOOK SO GOOD!!!!!
Love a Christmas turkey and yours looks great!

That's awesome I can give you some suggestions
That looks fantastic. Last thanksgiving I made an Orange bourbon wet brine and then did a butter injection then smoked it. Family TORE into it. I’ve also experimented with deep frying, oven roasting, spatchcocking ( this was not fun, lol but I also have no butchery experience, came out great though). I’m hoping to make it to culinary school in 2024, but being disabled and unable to work, it’s making the task a lot harder than it needs to be. :-\. Your channel is an inspiration and I really appreciate you giving everyone a window into your life.

Yes I would love the recipe. Can I use it on chicken.
My first time doing everything 😂😂😂😂😂 yeah right Jesus ur so funny 😂❤🎉
Congrats on your successful career. I wonder if you could do a short video about how wine is important in some dishes. Or what wines enhance a presentation of a dish. 😀
Great suggestion!
Basting repeatedly only makes the skin not crispy. For your first turkey you killed it! Looks incredible.
Nicely done.
I believe turkey gets a bad rap because it's either dry or the rest of the extra and preparations that go along with the holiday. 🤷♂️
I get 2-3 at Thanksgiving their nice to enjoy during the year.
I would have to empty the entire contents of my refrigerator to get that turkey in 😂
Cherish an relish being able to do this a lot of people in this life don’t have the financial situation to have a good thanksgiving meal prepared like that, your very fortunate to have the situation u do!!
One of my goals on 2024 is becoming a chef, what is your advice?
Thank you...
Do you run the dry brine off at all? It doesn't come out too salty?
A bird that size needs a lot of salt. It’s not a flavorful bird.
First comment!! Btw love ur videos
Full recipe please. Basting in mayo may be a brilliant idea
Thank you very much 😊 here is the full recipe: open.substack.com/pub/flavorsbyale/p/the-turkey-has-entered-the-building?r=2urrd9&
You’re an amazing chef Alessandra, your turkey turned out beautiful😋 I’m confused though, I thought the internal temperature for poultry is 165, can you explain, I’d appreciate it, thank you♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🦃
Yes! That is correct 165 is the final goal temperature, however we have to account for carry over cooking - which in a bird this large goes up about 10 degrees sometimes! Also, always easier to bring it up a little rather than having it over cooked 😊
@@FlavorsByAle Gotcha, thanks so much for reaching out to explain, I didn’t realize that the turkey would continue to cook as it rested, this is good to know🙏 You’re very kind and extremely talented, your family is gonna be thrilled on Thanksgiving as they are every time you cook for them😋 Happy Thanksgiving, have a blessed holiday♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️🦃
