Super happy to see this upload. Definitely looking forward to seeing some of the new stuff in action, and seeing the changes in how to keep the early trade balance from getting too out of hand without typical cheese starts like bauxite or vehicle factories.
I wasn't particularly hyped before for this update, but I am now after watching your video. It's adding so much which has been missing or lacking in the game. Even without the waste management system, this update is looking great.
It's great to see that you are doing well and here with yet another season. I am actually excited to get back into the game and see all the new changes that have been implemented. Great job my friend!
That lake so close to the border post, I'd totally make a hughmongus single rail "roundabout" around it just for the funnies, with multiple simple T junctions to make as exits. That's what I've been trying these last few attempts of mine. Not on hard cash of course (but even then I am missing some steps making my early game take forever)

Good to have you back with WRSR. My life has some semblance of normalcy again...😅 Too bad my laptop is too potato to play this game anymore and the amount of updates that have taken place since the last time I played would make it difficult for me to get back into it again. At least I can still watch you.
free buildings is good to start silent road upgrading trough whole republic, especially you have only one river. Or at least - additional source for cargo stuff moving. As far as I had see, set of free services may be great to keep major road clean in winter. Also, it would be great to place RR depot close to the border: less time to get stuff from the border to republic. Fun thing: in some cases. you can bring workers with airplanes. AN-2 (12 ppl) have next to no runway requirements.
Anybody knows, when this update will released? I guess it is not necessary to mention that I'm really excited to get it. Just I am waiting with the destruction in my game until it will be more useful to get back some resources. Thanks
There really needs to be some sort of nightvision mode where you can still see everything at night. Currently it just gets so much in the way of the gameplay that i always turn it off.
You say that you are playing in vanilla (except with mod vehicles) but I do not have access to the same buildings that you do. I noticed when I was trying to play that my game doesn't have trash management, nor does it have that huge 6 lane train station or the different warehouse sizes...
Huh, I haven't really kept up with the beta branch updates, so it's a very nice suprise to see so many workshop buildings added to vanilla. I actually only downloaded the new aggregate and rail cargo stations about a week ago. Also, I'm glad you made the call to keep the first few episodes shorter, I usually get discouraged from watching the season when I see eleven 1.5 hour long episodes in the playlist already, but with shorter ones (and being here at the start) I can hopefully keep up with it, while also playing the game for myself.
Is it really that bad to have the heating plant closer to the city? I did not notice big downsides on having them in walking range to citizens (maybe I am also playing on Medium difficulty, which makes it less of a problem)
Playing on lower difficulties means you have to think about less, and citizens will tolerate more...yes having the heating plant in walking range is terrible if you need to run at 100%...10% not a big deal.
I'm coming back to the game after a couple years break (I play other games too!), but I don't see what the whole customs overload problem is. I didn't get customs overload at all and I had ALL the free construction offices running full of vehicles and the free storages (for all the beginning stuff except mechanical components and people). I just used 3 depots to fill the storages from the customs houses. I had ALL these going at once on full build mode and had almost no waiting at customs house (maybe 1 or 2 vehicles at most). Just use only the depots to go to customs house with 'wait til loaded'. You don't get customs overload because you're not sending every truck to pick up smaller amounts at the depot. The only vehicles going directly to customs then are two depot dumpers, buses, the occasional closed and open hull (also filling a storage from the depot) and the fuel truck. My customs had almost no waiting and I played on vanilla. Just start your fuel, depot vehicles (the trucks that can carry the biggest load - speed isn't a concern here) and storages off first to give them a small head start, then by the time all your other vehicles have filled up - with the inevitable fuel lines (although I had several of the free fuel places dotted strategically to avoid long runs for fuel), my storages had a pretty good head start at being filled and it all worked like clockwork. After the initial fuel line up, the longest line up I had anywhere was maybe three trucks waiting at the gravel storage - I learned to make a longer drive way to that one for next time.
Lol, you're saying you didn't get customs overload because you planned ahead like I did... Yes, that's not surprising, but you're not even aware of how much waste will add to traffic
@@bballjo Hehe, I don't have the upcoming update, of course, so I have no idea about garbage yet. I'm certainly not an expert, and I'm not sure my planning is as good as yours - you're a bit of an expert, right? But that didn't happen to me even though I used all the free construction offices and had them all full of vehicles busily working non-stop, so I'm not sure why everyone else is experiencing that.
If you only build all the free buildings, then you don't have a huge fleet yet, so clogging customs is less of an issue, but down the road, if you rely heavily on road vehicles, it's always a problem, and that's why people are complaining. The setup with pre-customs storages helps immensely, but even that won't be enough once you produce a lot of exports, and import some of the materials.
@@bballjo Ah, I see. I haven't gotten that far yet. By then, though the republic will have spread somewhat. Doesn't spreading exports across the map to different customs offices help?
at least i hope the large border house gets upgraded with better pathing because as it is right now, its weaker then the 3 car+1rail medium sized border house due to the distance the vehicle needs to travel to "leave", sure maybe make the loading and unloading process take a bit longer but i see no reason to use those large houses early game over the medium sized houses except for when i get rail up and running for its 3 rail connections later in the game
