Wow I just did this on my sister yesterday. Only difference besides the color is that I twisted the hair in the rubber bands before connecting to each other. Looks so good ❤. Also congrats on your edge control, I just went and copped me one after watching. So glad it's not sold out yet. Best wishes 🙏🏾
I did the same thing and the client got mad because it wasnt the same or as flat as the picture…. Me being a stylist and doing my own hair I like my styles to last through rain snow..etc So in my mind Im thinking finger twist them instead of smoothing it into the next because she said she was going swimming, so I just wanted to minimize frizz in the future🥺🤷🏽♀️😪but atleast I tried🙂
@@rbtierneyyyy208 Wow that sucks. That was my thoughts exactly when I did it. Plus my sister's hair is on the thinner side so even with it twisted it layed flat and lasted until she wanted it out which was like a month and a half. Unfortunately you can't satisfy all. But hey lesson learned, now if you have to do it again you know to ask how they prefer it haha. I'm sure it still looked great 😉

Ms. Linda have you received your edge control? If so will you tell me how well it works? My baby is natural and I haven't found an edge control that will lay my baby edges. Her edges are super soft like the baby hair texture... and by the end of the day they are lifted and rolled up. I have paid anywhere from $10 to $15 to $20 bucks and end up having to give it away 🤦🏾♀️

@@cherelecalloway5617 no 💀. Besides the cultural appropriation this style isn't made for straight/wavy hair textures. It can pull the hair out and be bad for the scalp, plus this is a long term style and white ppl have to wash their hair more consistently than we do so leaving this in their head will do a number on their hair. Trust me, even the mixed ppl I knew with 3 a/b/c hair would not get box braids or braids in general like that because it wasn't the best style for their hair. They'd leave it in for 1-2 weeks then take it out, sometimes it would damage their hair. So no 💀

bruh i have this style right now and my rubber bands popped and i literally started crying and had it redo the whole top because i didn’t want the other rubber bands to pop , so i just bought more and did it with color rubber bands 😂😂🖤
Soak your rubber bands in oil I feel like it helps.

Walmart carries a zippered mesh bag with rubber bands in it and those are by far the best I can get 5-6 weeks of a style out of them and I still have to cut it when I take it down

I use the plastic ones on my baby's hair and they work good bc her hair is soft/fiber & doesn't need a lot of product but if I out them in Mt hair they break like on contact so thanks for the tips on the rubber bands bc I love to braid my hair but hate using thick bands.
