We came here in 1987 and were blown away with the whole site. A lot more work has been done here and it was so good to hear it's now a world heritage site. Thank you girls enjoyed this so very much

OMG! This is a magical place for me. I could spend days just exploring the nooks and crannies that are everywhere. Imagining what it must have been like to live in those times. But I have a feeling those toilets must've had some kind of curtains to give guys a moment of privacy right? Lol! Wonderfully edited video. Thanks Micha! 👋😎👍

Turkey is a geography where many civilizations lived.some - Sumerians MÖ 2000-400 - Hitites MÖ 2000-600 Phrygians MÖ 1200-676 Lydians MÖ 700-546 Urartians MÖ-844-590 ( Lydians were the first people to find money.) This geography is the cradle of civilization.

But why does Turkey ignore the history of the Greek colonies and cities like Ephesus. They rebrand them as Roman. Italy takes Pride in it's ancient Greek Cities and past.

@@rogerdodger8813 I think you should go do a good research first..Greeks lived in Anatolia for a while.but it seems as if these lands are theirs since the beginning of existence. :))Ancient Greeks and current Greeks are very different.think like ancient egypt...Greeks lived under the auspices of the Ottomans for a while in these lands. They lived under the patronage of the Romans for a period...Greeks love to cry they have a constant daydreaming feature. They treat it like it's their own land. What civilizations lived in these lands, they belong to no one.I don't want to give you a history lesson here, go and find out what civilizations lived in these lands.okey.

@@serdarumay7158 Do your Research Ionian Greeks lives in West coat of Turkey for centuries and then they came under Rome. But Still lived there until Turks came. Greeks have been in Asia Minor Longer than Asian Turks. Even Istanbul was Byzantium an ancient Greek Town. Many Greek Philosophers came from what now Turkey. Smyrna, Ephesus, Miletus and many more. very famous ancient Cities all Greek and you can still find the ruins. Unfortunately because Turkey hates Greeks so much, they refer to them as Roman Ruins (which of course they were after Rome took them over, but Greek Culture and Language were still dominant) all ancient cities mentioned in . Your History is nationalistic Turkish Propaganda all rubbish!

@@rogerdodger8813 Hittetes were Turks, when the roman invasion in anatolia began they fleed trough caucassia and joined the skythians. The skythians later were about to loose against persian / iranian so they decided to invite Saka people from north asia and fusioned with turks and later became GokTurk Kaghanate. Later the seljuks made the first conquest against Sassanind Empire (Iran /Persia) and fought their way into Anatolia. They fizzled out in Anatolia. Later one of many turkic people started the conquest of anatolia which eventually became Ottoman Empire. So you can basically say by far distance that the Hittetes which later became Turks just took their land back. It is hard to say whose belongings these area are. But I can assure that Turks were very early in Anatolia and just came back to retake it. Since than they own it. I think Turks made a great job making the country green again. When I was reading the history of Anatolia it wasn't allways as green as it is nowdays. The Ottomans started to plant trees since thousand years in Anatolia. This is the beauty of Anatolia you know nowdays. When they arrived , Anatolia was a dry dessert back in times. It is kinda the same what China made out of their desserts. Turkey is basically doing the same terraforming, planting green on desserts.

@@serdarumay7158 Turks love to have a cry because they can’t accept the fact that everything they find in their country is covered in Greek writing, from temples, theatres, public buildings, churches tombs stadiums etc etc and is a testimony to the strong Greek presence in Anatolia from 1000BC to 1922 when they were ethnically cleansed by the Turks
