ŞIRINCE - THIS TURKISH VILLAGE SAVED THE WORLD 🇹🇷

- Şirince has an odd link to the Mayans whom believed that the world would end in 2012 (Doomsday) but if people travelled to this small Turkish village of Şirince it would give them salvation. Of course the world did not end but since then Şirince has experienced a tourist boom.
Tourists flock to Şirince for its friendly locals, cobbled streets, historical greek houses and wine on tap.
Şirince was also known as the "ugly "village because it was once name çirkince (ugly) by its earliest inhabitants - to deter people from visiting. On the contrary Şirince is absolutely beautiful.
We can't fully understand the entire history of what has happened in Şirince but we definitely enjoyed the abundance of wine and soaking up this wacky history (and rain...)

It's always fun to watch you interacting with the locals. The place looks quaint and enchanting. Stay safe ladies.
The place is oozing old world vibe - fascinating!!! The climate seems mediterranean to me - lots of greenery even in January. Lovely 🤗
This was actually filmed in November ☺️ but nonetheless, this village is worth visiting at any time 🤩
Such a nice video guys! I love wandering off the beaten path to explore things most folks don't see. It's funny that "şarap" means wine in Turkish and "sarap" means delicious in the Philippines. Delicious wine! Sarap şarap! Lol! Here's a toast to you and this video. Cheers! 🍷😄👍
Ohhh! What a cool fact !!! 🇵🇭 + 🇹🇷 = ❤️
Loving this this sauntering and meandering village adventure. Cheers, Ladies!

Hey i love your channel 💕
Appreciate it, buddy! 💙
I really enjoyed this video. More in the style of how you started out, just two friends traveling and enjoying off the beaten path. I must get to this village. I loved the old world charm, the people and the quaintness of everything. Did you get here by bus?
i been to sirince a few times.. loved it. i live in izmir.. Alaçati is also a good place.. you guys have been there i saw in your other video
blue, blue, deep blue, eyes bead blue...... beautifull eyes
This was such a cute video lol
Thanks so much, Sel !!! 💜
Girls, don't you have any boring videos? I watched it with great pleasure, thank you for your effort. Greetings from Istanbul.
Aww thanks so much !!! You have no idea how much your comments motivate us !!!
At the video in 7th minute. While you guys order Çay (Tea) he was saying I could offer you a tea. Usually at this kind of local restaurants in turkey for tea and coffees they won't charge. That is the beauty of their humble character.
Ahhh, that’s so sweet! 🥰 Turkish people are definitely very hospitable and humble. Cannot wait to come back to Turkey again 😍
👍🏻🇹🇷💕
That is not Greek architecture Girls! This is typical Ottoman architecture 🤗
While you were wine tasting did it cost anything for samples? Or do they just expect you to buy a bottle or bottles?
Didn’t cost us anything to sample and actually you don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to! ☺️
@@BeerForBreakfast Nice. That's always one thing that makes me cautious when travelling (or any time, really) is some sales person expecting to be paid for samples.
🇲🇾😎
it's actually traditional Ottoman architecture girls not Greek
Laba diena 🙂
Laba ! Kaip sekasi? ☺️
@@BeerForBreakfast Labas vakaras gražuole, ačiū, kad susisiekei, man viskas gerai, aš gyvenu Belgijoje, norėčiau su tavimi susipažinti, linkiu tau viso ko geriausio gyvenime🌹🌹🌹🤩
You both are very beautiful girls I like you very much
Kız Türkçe alt Yazı eklemek . Aloooo . 🤨
Well, it's obvious that you're not a teenager so they don't check your ID 😅 (but it's meant to be the joke I guess?)
Yes, of course it was meant to be a joke haha
