Our time in Turkey is coming to an end but not before we check out 2 of the most popular tourist sites in the country - Ephesus and Pamukkale!
We spent a full day exploring the ancient city of Ephesus. The city dates back somewhere around 3,000 years and was at it's peak around 2,000 years ago during Roman times. This was the 2nd biggest city in the Roman Empire, exceeded by only Rome itself! It is an incredibly impressive city with beautiful, well-preserved ruins.
Next up is Pamukkale which has received A LOT of attention on Instagram in the past several years. Pamukkale literally translates into "Cotton Castle" and is made up of all these white travertine terraces filled with ice blue mineral water. Is it worth the hype? i wouldn't recommend Ephesus in the height of summer . a hell of a lot of walking .

We were disappointed in Pamukkale too. We were there on a cloudy day too.
Honest thoughts - you didn't see the water right.
You were going the right direction, but the water that washed over that basin happened, and it wasn't friendly.
Please take Randall Carlson or Graham Hancock on one of your walks

Because of the seasonal effects those pools dont have water now.
And of course it has to be protected otherwise it will end up demolished by people.
You guys have been amazing travelling as you have over the last couple of years given the COVID bogeyman. Jess, you've become so much more natural on camera than when you first started. Did Kings Canyon last week, and massive reno's to the resort happening now, yes flies still there in force even early April! My first foray overseas in two months, going to Goodwood FOS in UK end of June. Can't wait.

Thanks for your video! I'm going later this month and have been debating between Pamukkale and Ephesus, as I think it would be way too much to try to squeeze both into a day and a half. So it sounds like you'd definitely recommend Ephesus over Pamukkale, correct?
