    Issuing POLICY is not Law.
The law is simple, (Do no harm to others.)
No one forced anyone to join the commercial mercenaries unit!
That is one’s own will to be in that kind of JOB!
So, how do they feel threatened?

Leaving it up to an officer to subjectively decide what probable cause is in the heat of the moment isn't going to change anything.

What about changing police brutality guidelines? Unnecessary force? Lets address those as well.

strangulation is not now nor ever has been an appropriate method of subduing a person because too many completely innocent people, who were simply defending themselves from badly trained police, have died.

They also need to follow the supreme courts case law for civil rights !

It's still subjective the way it's worded, each cop gets too decide if he/she feels they have probable cause to shoot you. Don't you think the standard should be the same as anyone else before taking a life (imminent danger)

@@Sinkorswim317 So we mine as well not even have a judicial system right, just leave it up to cops to be the judge, jury and executioner

That's not what the policy says. The policy classifies "choke-holds" as deadly force, so cops can only use choke-holds when they are also justified to use other forms of deadly force (AKA: shooting or running you over). Cops have a duty to protect others and have to make split-second decisions during chaotic situations that they have to respond to. Civilians have zero responsibility to protect anybody and can turn their backs to the most heinous of crimes being committed against another human right in front of them. The media has brainwashed you into believing all cops are murderous racists and all criminals are just victims.

@@tesstkohls7448 First of all you didn't listen to the entire policy you're only mentioning half of it, secondly do have any idea how many people are shot by cops while holding a cellphone, reaching for no weapon, an alledged suspect not convicted of any crime at that point, so if there is no imminent threat to they're life or someone else's they shouldn't be allowed to use deadly force but that's not what the policy says it says probable cause to use deadly force (like they were reported to have a gun, even though I didn't see it and they reached for something) that's not the standard for anyone else to use deadly force, why should it be the standard for those who willingly accept the job of police officer, finally nobody has brainwashed me to believe anything, I've seen them murder people without justifiable cause over and over and get away with it, they're just now (a small percentage at least) facing consequences, the same consequences anyone else would. Police are not above the law they should be required to adhere to it not get special rights and their own set of standards especially on deadly force.

@@tesstkohls7448 You're not listening to the news report or you're being intentionally obtuse. You conveniently leave information out of your argument. What did they say regarding using deadly force before the chokehold statement, That a cop gets to use probable cause to determine if they or someone else's life may be in danger. Do you even understand what that means, if they get a call from some random person saying you're brandishing a firearm and they pull up on you and you reach into your pocket they can absolutely consider that probable cause to shoot you, because they believe the call was in good faith without corroboration of any kind without seeing a firearm or without you raising one towards them. Then after shooting you they find out you have no firearm and were reaching for a cellphone, that will be considered a justified shooting. You're the one who's brainwashed into thinking most cops are good guys and heroes concerned about citizens safety above all else, it's complete garbage, Ask Daniel Shavers or one of the many people shot and killed by cops without posing any threat whatsoever because cops believed they were reaching for a gun they didn't have. If a citizen took the same actions we'd go to prison, they're supposed to enforce the law not live above it with special privilege especially when it comes to deadly force
