it's all good. like you said you were fixing a chunk it anyway so why not have some fun with it turn it into a learning experience even though you knew what you were doing. Go ahead and experiment and play around with it some. see how much overvolting abuse it can take. Trust me I've been there done that.... with more than one light. Lol
