After owning and playing both extensively with a lightly modded G27 I feel I can differentiate between the physics rather well. The tires in AC feel more dynamic and PC feels more static and simplistic. This means I can usually churn out much more consistent laps in PC versus AC where outer and inner tire heat plays a larger and more complex part in whether or not the car sticks under certain conditions in the middle of the turn, camber settings, and application of the throttle. Basically, this makes PCars a superior casual racer that you can hop in and have some decent fun, but AC is the most accurate simulation. Aesthetics are a personal opinion and I go back in forth of preference between the titles depending on the track, however I spend most of my time racing Nordschleife, and AC's laser scanned track is a masterpiece that has unrivaled road feel and feedback that is several generations ahead of PC. In PC I am constantly reminded I am playing a game, which is fine, it's a fun game. However in AC I'm often so immersed in the drive and how incredibly well the feeling of the car translates through the wheel and how precisely simulated that setting adjustments are translated in the car that I *am* driving that car, and I *am* driving around Nordschleife. Now I doubt many people will read my verbal spew, but from someone who's put years of life into sim racing, I think that should help those trying to decide which title to invest their time in.
I love Project and Forza Motorsport and looking forward to Assetto Corsa and GT Sport. With Ben Collins and Nicolas Hamilton being part of the development of the Car physics in Project CARS, I question your critique Of P CARS physics as simplistic, I would be more inclined to believe Assetto may be over complicated. I never driven A real car on the edge of performance, but I'm sure some CARS like LMP would be more complicated to drive, but GT Cars I would aspect to be typical depending on the LSD tune, but I will see come Aug.
Haulin Hebrew Sim Racing I will give credit where credit is due, and there are aspects of PC's physics that are currently superior to AC. PC's low speed physics are of course much better, specifically because AC still uses placeholder values for low speed driving and clutch operation. PC also does a better job at linearly simulating aero stall when the car is below effective speeds to generate downforce. AC's downforce feels on or off at corner entry and I believe it's related to AC's placeholder low speed physics. There is also controversy over AC's tire model physics concerning cambers effect on longitudinal grip, and that's part of the reason they're on model 7 before they've even released on consoles, however PC exaggerates camber too much, and it's easy to find bugs galore when tweaking damper settings, sometimes which sends the car hilariously flying off of the track. It's of course helpful from PC's exaggeration in aiding tuning and understanding their effects on handling, but in it's current state it's just not quite right.
Wow! never experienced anything even close that happening LOL!! You seem to have A good understanding of car physic yourself, Have you any real Race Car experience as well? because I totally rely on the experience of real Autosports and what the Pro and Am Race drivers have to say regarding matters on physics simulations, I love real Autosport everything from F1 - BTCC. and Racing Simulators, and Arcade Racing is my hobby, my Sim experience is strictly console starting with GT 1-6, Project CARS, and Forza Motorsport 6 on the XBOX one. The only benchmark in my conclusions is i Racing physics, because more Pro/Am Real drivers testify to it. I have never driven i Racing personally to compare for myself, but I highly regard the opinion of Sim Racers that drop the i Racing Name in comparing any Sim title. but I am looking forward to the release of Assetto Corsa, and maybe One day get a chance to experience i racing.
Haulin Hebrew Sim Racing My only real race experience come from 5 years of summer autocrossing with the occasional driver car swapping, and amateur kart racing with a buddies Rotax kart. Like you, most of what I know about the physics of racing comes from countless hours watching real racing and listening to the accounts of professional drivers input on sims, and my personal favorite, touge racing, with poorly translated subtitles. lol I've basically driven everything out there that ever called itself a simulation or "realistic," including all the titles you've mentioned, plus 10 years of rFactor driving and creating my own mod content and physics. I've also played around with a lot of their physics engines that allow modding to see how they work. If you have a Playstation 2 there's a little hidden gem called Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2, and I highly recommend anyone who loves sim racing to give it a try, I still argue that they modeled clutch pack type limited slip differentials better than anything in the industry right up to iRacing and AC/PC's standard today.
is AC considered a sim racer? like is it in the same category as GT & Forza? like is it GT vs FORZA vs Assetto vs PC? and if so then who's the better series?
Oxydoum oh ok. I played GT, didn't like it. thought it was boring & the cars drive to slow. I played Forza 6, thought it was ok. well more than ok I thought it was pretty good. still it was something missing IMO. PC I straight hated lol. to hard to steer IMO. Driveclub is a game I enjoy playing. FH2, Burnout Paradise Island all are racing games I enjoy & love. AC I would like to try out.
i had both. At first,Assetto Corsa was a huge let down and i always said to myself,i wasted my money. Then i got Project Cars.Nice gfx and stuff but seemed so boring and fake.Uninstalled immediately. Then..i went back to Steam and checked Assetto Corsa's evolution.Patches, dlc's etc etc. Oh boy oh boy...from that day on,i live every day to play Asseto Corsa. The best racing sim out there !
Ok, so having had Project Cars for around a year now I can honestly say that it is one of the best racing games I have played! I have not however played Assetto Corsa on any platform and am pretty sure that going by some of these comments it will be an excellent game. Looking at the comparison on this video I would say that graphically P Cars definitely looks better but looks are not everything and given the choice I would take playability and realism over that. When the cars are cornering the Assetto Corsa car looks a little rigid and does not seem to have the pitch and roll that the P Cars car has, (or is that just me?) but the detail inside the car on Assetto is superior! I like the idea of the varying tyre degradation on Assetto and have had trouble with buggy tyre wear problems in P Cars as well as all the other bugs that the game has suffered but I still love the game and have never seen this as something that would put me off playing it. Assetto is on pre- order though!
allllriiiight, thks for the comment,i appreciate!!!When u have played assetto ,give me your opinion,it could be different,so after there will be Pcars2 (that i already have on alpha version but i cant speak aout for the moment)
You should try Assetto Corsa buddy :) When I first played PCars I thought that it is the most realistic racing game I've ever played, then I tryed out AC... Honestly after AC, Pcars feels like some arcade game... Furthermore the graphics changed a lot in AC now, so I think it is nicer than Pcars too. U won't have night and rainy run, but if u want a real sim racing game you will get it :)
If you're a wannabe simracer like I am, Project CARS (especially PC2) is a great game for you. Pretty much the only sim(cade) you can play with a controller with fully customizable throttle, braking and steering buttons. Steering with a controller doesn't feel janky either. (cough cough, looking at you rF2 and AC) That's not to say AC is an awful title. For months I've played it with a keyboard & mouse and I've clocked in 82 hours. I must say it's some of the most fun I've had in a while. Imagine how it'd have felt with a sim rig...
I played both games with my Driving Force GT + Thrustmaster Th8a Shifter + DIY Clutch Pedal and tbh AC just feels a lot better, graphics on AC are ok, graphics on project cars are better though.
in assetto corsa you can hear the 458 semi automatic transmition, in project cars it sounds like it has fully manual transmition, wich ferrari 458 dont have
It's true that Pcars is more beautiful... but it's not enough, it takes more then reflections. AC is not very beautiful as Pcars although is much more realistic, mainly inside the car. There's not any Carbon Fiber in Pcars and the side door is not in leather, it's Alcantara. So.... graphics is not so important, I prefer realism than every thing. The same thing goes too the audio, AC is better, is realistic! The video is excelent, congrats!
Project cars got the advantage on graphics and certains weather FX heaviest and more demanding ressource for rigs, +1 for lower rigs on Assetto Corsa i've been compare on two of my rigs (Assetto Corsa 4Go + 2Cores/ Project Car 8Go + 4Cores requiert) both rock's in général, (graphics Effect, quality, gameplay and technicity) i love the two of them,
Project Cars definitely has the deeper colour range and trackside detail is also more realistic, also there's much more contrast in PC. Corsa seems to have a bright poppy look much like Forza which I'm never too keen on.
on this video i used a filter on AC,and there is some kind of bloom, but normally this isnt like that, look my different videos on AC,you will see the difference about colours
I have drive a 458 in a italian track in Pavia. The handling is best in Assetto Corsa but the mod in Project Cars is very nice a too much funny to drive. Sorry for my bad english.
They are very wrong. I used to work on, and drive race cars, and judging by the sentiments of most AC players, I can see they have no idea what they're talking about. In addition to my real-life experience, I have Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, and rFactor 2. I've experienced enough "sim racing", plus hard driving of my own to know the difference. Look: The vast majority of people saying "Project Cars isn't a sim" are videogame fanboy morons who don't know anything in the slightest about vehicle dynamics and simulation. Many of them have never even taken a car to a racetrack. From my experience, I can tell you that Assetto Corsa's suspension simulation is unrealistically stiff, and the tyre-model as well is inferior to Project Cars'. Notice how much "on rails" Assetto Corsa seems to be, even in videos. The car is as stiff as a damn board. When playing it, it's worse. Assetto Corsa relies heavily on steering wheel FFB to mimic real-world driving reactions, because at its core, it's simulation model is mediocre. Project Cars' suspension dynamics and tyre-model adhesion mechanics are far superior to what games like Assetto Corsa or iRacing offer. The body roll, the transfer of weight from one direction to another, the grip levels, etc. are all modeled more realistically in Project Cars. However, Project Cars' tyre carcass' variable adhesion thresholds are not realistically accounted for. For this reason, when grip is lost, it is in many instances, more difficult than it is in real life, to bring the car back to the driving line, and under control. That is where Project Cars 1 needs work, but overall, Project Cars is by far the better simulation. Assetto Corsa and iRacing do not even support rain. Why? *Their physics models are incapable of simulating the effect of rain on a vehicle.* *99.99% of AC/iR/rF2 fanboys, don't know what in the hell they are talking about.* I mean, the rate at which the games' physics engines output data is as well a very telling fact. iRacing's physics engine ticks at 360Hz. That's only slightly faster than Assetto Corsa's 333Hz. rFactor 2 is second best, at 400Hz. Project Cars' physics simulation refreshes at a considerable 600Hz. Far higher than the aforementioned games. Considering the extent to which iterative physics-based calculations are implemented in these sims, and the manners in which they differ in terms of their result-driven interpretations, It is clear that Project Cars simulation is a far more accurate model. Also: For some reason, videogame fanboys are all so *incredibly stupid*, they think FFB and physics are in some way, somehow, the same thing, and when they try Project Cars, they don't bother to set it up. It boggles my mind how someone can be so foolish as to think FFB and physics are even remotely related. On top of that, these fanboys fail to set FFB up. You cannot FAIL to set up the force feedback settings, and then use the resulting lack of feedback to judge realism. That's something videogame fanboys need to stop doing. How in the world can you jump into a simulator, and then fail to set things up, and then subsequently blame anything but yourself for the lack of immersion. In terms of physics simulation and realism, Project Cars and rFactor 2 are certainly on top. Another great sim, but very much outdated at this point, is rFactor 1.
+UnPsuedo Original I used to work with race cars, you moron. Read my last response. People like you know absolutely nothing. But you talk shit on the internet, because all you know is how to play a fucking videogame.
No, PCars looks more realistic, WAY better lighting and shadowing. Look at the cockpit footage - there's very little light effects inside the car in AC, while in PCars every tree you pass casts its own separate shadow.
wdowa94, that could be, I'm not familiar with the tracks. I was commenting only on the rendering quality and photrealism of the picture (or lack thereof in AC).
I think that graphics in AC is still more "photorelistic" than shiny, bloomy, blurry, overcontrasted filetered colours. Make some "In-movement" screenshots and you'll see that AC looks very natural- pCars looks just eyecandy (you can see that this is a game even from 10m from the display... In AC sometimes it's hard to notice that it is just a game)
The only thing PC has on AC is graphical development, other than that AC is superior in every way and in my opinion has the most accurate tracks, handling characteristics and car sounds over an other game
Oxydoum my english is bad) But I'll try. "No, this is simply an overabundance PCars gloss for hamsters. Damage to the realism of the picture, by the way". Yes, Russia, alas...
My two cents, based on what i see here, Project Cars looks and sounds better, but AC feels better, the way the car moves seems more like the real deal, I mean. I wanna buy one, but I'm still not sure which one >
Everybody who dont know the difference, project cars is for the grafics and playing a "game"...Assetto Corsa is for physics and tracksurface but mainly a real "Simulator" not like the other ones that call themselves like that but in reality they are all "Games" except of Assetto Corsa
I hate that camera movement on Project Cars, next time you should totally remove the look-to-apex on Project Cars since you dont have it on AC. And use world movement to 100%
Yeah, I hate that too... it's the Look-to-apex... But anyway, I only use the back camera when I'm driving for fun, else I use the inside cam (love the middle one on Project Cars, but only on some cars), or the bumper camera.
I never liked look-to-apex inside or out... with VR googles yeah, on the screen to me turning and seeing the cam turn makes the simulation more arcade looking at the effect on the little screen in front of me. But world shaking I love it, specially high speed shake, that is always max out in any simulator I play. I loved GTR 2 with max settings, the cockpit was full of shakes, awesome.
+The Ymid nooo bro,no licence but its a mod.it is the same developers of the game test drive legends ferrari u can try it if u want.all on description.
Car models of Assetto Corso have more finnesse it seems, but the visuals quality of project cars is much ahead of AC. Project cars have better shaders, texture and effects.
+Ravi's Techzone a mix of all things that i said but gameplay is more important for me,if u have the beautiful game with ugly gameplay, ugly sounds, and little content.its not the same.the big thing that u play again again and again, its the gameplay, the physics, the ffb etc....graphics are good but not the first part.
+Oxydoum Gameplay trumps over graphics, I agree to that. Reason why I still play Skryim till date. In AC and PC, it seems AC is using a traditional game engine, its designer have put more effort into modelling, physics. It will always have more finnesse. PC is taking a different route, using the latest graphics tech and pushing out more effects. Just speaking for graphics wise and nothing else. Though both games are pretty good IMO. Cant compare their gameplay, since they are of different genre.
+Ravi's Techzone so i can say that with pcars2 we will have a very goid game, more content,a new ffb,new modes, good graphics.....we will have a good fight with the 2 games.when i could send videos from pcars2 you will see that....i already have the beta version....and i can say today pcars2 is better than pcars1.wait and see.
because its a video game and lot of people can try this car and go to 250 or 300 km on a game ,in real its really different, the feeling with the wheel, the vibrations and all the rest,i think a ferrari this is not a car that drives but a car that pilot, and on videogames every guy can drive it
+jin kazama ahhh very sad,the car is very cool.ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html look at 15:00 i do a challenge between fast cars on Nordschleife.the ferrari is the first.next will be porsche 918spyder and after my followers choose between 3 cars that i suggest.
+Bernard Lebrun this is a mod,i didnt make any video with the 488 but if u see any video about that, its a mod.BUT in pc2 u will see the licence ferrari but i cant show you that for the moment.
+Elijah Dobson since a few days because you can add some cars from other games created by same project cars developers like test drive ferrari legends for example.Everything is on the description of this video ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html.u can try if u want.
+Thije Kampman this is a mod.u can install it if u want.all is on the description.check the video at 4:22 this is pcars hud.before talking watch the full video bro.
+Kalamede on Wheels No it doesn't, the car in AC is driven a little more slowly, or the two car models have different accelerations. I noticed in AC that cars seem to reach top speed faster than in other sims. Search youtube for this video and see they are pretty much the same lap times. "iRacing Vs PCARS Vs AC - Monza Graphics & Sound (DigiProst)"
+adam konstantinou u are definetly right, its very strange because when i try the same track and the same car,i finish earlier on pcars.maybe there are some differences today between the tracks or something or maybe he just got a high high ++ config comparing to me.lol.and i want to test iracing a lot in watching this kind of videos.maybe later.
adam konstantinou In spa francorchamps you do hotlaps in around 1:16-17? and in assetto corsa the same, pcars is 1:13, anyways im going to watch that video, but its normal to get different laptimes becouse of non laser scanned tracks
you are right, the 3 monzas seem to be closer, maybe its the FOV or the diferences in the type of FOVS, the hood camera has always a high fov settings and almost the same in all games
its just strange, when you search gt3 hotlapping videos, you will see that also in monza, in iracing and assetto corsa the times are 1:46-47-48, but in project cars you see laptimes in 1:44-43, those things makes me think that something on pcars isnt right
You know why many say that AC is "more realistic"? Because it is easier to drive in PC. And why should that mean PC has less realism? Everyone may try kart in PC if it is "too easy" for them to drive and race. Might as well try GT4 class. With the rainy weather. You make a mistake - you end up out of track. And what's wrong with that? Consider this. PC is not too easy, but AC is too complicated. That gives one a contrast between these two, and one thinks - ok, Project CARS is an arcade. Bullshit. Have you even tried braking in Lambo GT3 in AC? Have you tried swinging McLaren with 100 kph (child's speed for such a car)? Brakes are, like, three-four times weaker that it takes to slow down from over 300 kph in time. Tires can't handle swinging on 100 kph. That is to be called simulation? These are sport cars, if I'm not mistaken. They were born for high speed, and in real life you don't need to slow down to 80 kph to make it into slight turn. I've seen with my own eyes how even stock Lambo brakes. About 5-8 meters from 60 kph, and not a one single creak. Anyone can watch WTCC, DTM, GT3/endurance FIA series and compare the in-game car behavior with what's going on there on a real track. Lots of videos available with any stock sport car. You may also enjoy the video above. Notice the speed and confidence on the right and, um, lots of caution for not to crush Ferrari on the left. Even that Ferrari for PC is a mod - on the right you see how a real sport car is driven. On the left is what physics in Asseto Corsa is all about. Kunoz maybe really wanted to make as correct sim as possible, but were too clever by half. AC simulates something that has no connection to reality. Well sure, if anyone likes hardcore from out of nowhere - don't let me stop them... but why that should make AC more simulator is something beyond my mind. As for how it feels. When in Project CARS, you enjoy driving, just like real life. In AC you try hard just to stay on track, and do not enjoy driving, but rather get annoyed. That's apparently not what racers love their job for. IMHO, of course.
+AV1ch good analysis,i agree with that but i cant say that pcars is arcade, comparing to others simracing games, its simpler but need for speed, the crew, test drive....are arcade.
AV1ch it's still a game, not real life. But as a game standard, ac is way more realistic than the p cars. Ac is hard to drive? Probably because u are using a controller or u never driven a real car on track. (No track skills). Ac is easy to drive feels more like a real car. Again, as a game standard. And in ur opinion, "enjoy driving"? u might as well choose an arcade game like forza.
I'd have to drive PCars before saying anything in comparison but i can say for sure that AC is definitly and inarguably not just a "hardcore game because you need to slow down a lot to corner"... The guy driving in the video is doing a demo run he's obviously not trying to go fast. AC is actually fairly easy to handle with a proper wheel unless you're a complete noob. That doesn't mean it's not a sim. If cars were that hard to drive in real life nobody would drive them except it's not and people do. The 458 is exceptionally easy to drive for it's performance. Try a RUF Yellow Bird or the old Maserati single seaters and that's a whole different experience. I'd like to remind people that KS who develop AC aren't game developpers they provide software side technology for full cockpit simulators used by professionals. In the end all these games aren't so far from each other but AC, with rF2 and maybe iRacing are definitly all in the top tier.
+Felice Tranchina this isnt a fake.all is on the description on this video ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html.you can try yourself if you want.this is a mod from test drive ferrari legends which have the same developers.before speaking......try to search information.thks you for watching.
OK, U R right I didn't read the description pass the post that is not in English LOL! Well you wont have to get Mods in Project CARS 2, Porsche Ferrari and Lamborghini well be in it.
Most online players for AC have clearly only spent time in PC. Nobody can drive. Makes it interesting to hone your skills. And yes, you can host your own private sessions.
And not again and again.did u watch all the video.check at 4:22 is it the forza hud ?😂and no.really no.its a mod rieght but from test drive ferrari legends.if u want it u can install it..everything is on the description.before talking check the information plz.google is ur friend.
+SUPNOV ok if u want so check this ua-cam.com/play/PLSQBZBWArj1Yoq1GkiyIYUk-br7GfXs74.html thank you for your comment but im right you are wrong.to install this mod all is in my description.if you dont know how to read, come back to school bro.so tchao.
+Rolando Loeb whatt ?orange the network ?no its just the F458 in two racing games.in effect there is a mod but its the same model ''ferrari F458 italia'' right ?

I think that project cars have a lot better graphics but on Asseto Corsa inside the cars look amazing
+Eoin Joseph and the feeling with the wheel is good too.
+Eoin Joseph yep.and the ferrari version on pcars is old.i believe that its f458 2010
The lighting in AC wasnt the same as in PCars.. They're pretty identical although I think AC has better models (and physics).
+shockwave1xD its about feeling, some players like pcars other AC, other Iracing,...other again rfactor2 or other kind of sim games
and PC have by far better car sounds..
did I miss something? project cars has ferrari?
+Paul K no for the moment...its a mod.take a lil time to read the description or different comments.
+Oxydoum I see now
is AC considered a sim racer? like is it in the same category as GT & Forza? like is it GT vs FORZA vs Assetto vs PC? and if so then who's the better series?
+tee duke assetto is the first, pcars next,gt and forza are equal.
AC I would like to try out.
haha, the Project Cars version sounds like the 360 Modena from GTR2.
i thought so. sounds aweful, reminds me of test drive unlimited and i'm pretty sure they've put more effort than that in vanilla content in PCars
When the cars are cornering the Assetto Corsa car looks a little rigid and does not seem to have the pitch and roll that the P Cars car has, (or is that just
me?) but the detail inside the car on Assetto is superior!
+Oxydoum ok will do! I'm jealous now though! Lol
You should try Assetto Corsa buddy :)
When I first played PCars I thought that it is the most realistic racing game I've ever played, then I tryed out AC...
Honestly after AC, Pcars feels like some arcade game... Furthermore the graphics changed a lot in AC now, so I think it is nicer than Pcars too. U won't have night and rainy run, but if u want a real sim racing game you will get it :)
P CARS 2?????????? WHaaaaaaat?
Haulin Hebrew Sim Racing
it will be as shit as the first.. :(
project cars sounds incredible but I think both games are amazing
Assetto corsa definitely sounds better
I liked pcars better, it had a more raw kind of sound in the exhaust, as AC sounded like a far away recording of what the engine sounds like
Probably because the pcars one is a mod.
AC sounds "mufled" recorded in the toilet you mean ?
kolysion I mean that’s how it would sound in real life because the car has sound dampening
AC with SCIBSOUNDS' 458 sound mod
If you're a wannabe simracer like I am, Project CARS (especially PC2) is a great game for you. Pretty much the only sim(cade) you can play with a controller with fully customizable throttle, braking and steering buttons. Steering with a controller doesn't feel janky either. (cough cough, looking at you rF2 and AC)
That's not to say AC is an awful title. For months I've played it with a keyboard & mouse and I've clocked in 82 hours. I must say it's some of the most fun I've had in a while. Imagine how it'd have felt with a sim rig...
Love the intro :)
Thks bro🤙
From all ferrari 458 that included in racing game this sounds the best the ac
+Blue React soon u will see ferrari by slightly mad studios....(Wait and see)
+Blue React :)
I have both games. And for my part Assetto is waaaaaaay cooler to play for physics. Just an opinion
+TheDiceThrower i agree, pcars is sleeping on my steam games now,lol
I don't know which sound is more real but I prefer the sound in Assetto for this car. The landscapes look too pixelly in Pcars.
+Skywarp Channel ok do u have Ac ?
+Oxydoum No but iRacing looks better.
+Skywarp Channel i think,i have to try iracing, i watch lot of videos and it must be good but hard.
Probably pixilated because its a mod from another game.
the sound from PC is not even close to real life, look up some vids :p
I played both games with my Driving Force GT + Thrustmaster Th8a Shifter + DIY Clutch Pedal and tbh AC just feels a lot better, graphics on AC are ok, graphics on project cars are better though.
Entrambi fantastici..
in assetto corsa you can hear the 458 semi automatic transmition, in project cars it sounds like it has fully manual transmition, wich ferrari 458 dont have
+Sholder Knees no it was the same transmission.no shifter h for twice
It's true that Pcars is more beautiful... but it's not enough, it takes more then reflections. AC is not very beautiful as Pcars although is much more realistic, mainly inside the car. There's not any Carbon Fiber in Pcars and the side door is not in
leather, it's Alcantara. So.... graphics is not so important, I prefer realism than every thing. The same thing goes too the audio, AC is better, is realistic! The video is excelent, congrats!
+Ciro Bezerra thks bro.maybe later i will do the same with the lambo gallardo but since patch 10.it doesnt work.wait and see.
+Oxydoum, ok I'll do it, ;)
I bought both and PC was a waste of money. The physics just don't feel right when you've played AC before.
Sorry for my bad english.
i like both games.
AC has good interiors and better physics, PC is awesome and fun. Boths have VR support... thats why i own both :D
Why are the fog lights lighting up on in PCars everytime he brakes?
Where is the differece? AC is a simulator, PC is a game
AC DOES NOT have better physcis. It never did.
Race sim fans disagree. AC is apparently the most realistic driving sim out there today in terms of handling.
Why? *Their physics models are incapable of simulating the effect of rain on a vehicle.*
*99.99% of AC/iR/rF2 fanboys, don't know what in the hell they are talking about.*
I mean, the rate at which the games' physics engines output data is as well a very telling fact. iRacing's physics engine ticks at 360Hz.
Urban Chaos 2.0 Project Cars a sim ? Your driving experience is with toys buddy
+UnPsuedo Original I used to work with race cars, you moron. Read my last response. People like you know absolutely nothing. But you talk shit on the internet, because all you know is how to play a fucking videogame.
Assetto corsa looks more realistic (atmosphere, reflections, overall driving style)
???? ma scherzi
No, PCars looks more realistic, WAY better lighting and shadowing. Look at the cockpit footage - there's very little light effects inside the car in AC, while in PCars every tree you pass casts its own separate shadow.
+VioletGiraffe pCars more realistic? Most of the objects in wrong places, wrongly placed trees, weird kurbs etc
wdowa94, that could be, I'm not familiar with the tracks.
Can u please tell Beginning Song Name?
Young Mozart "The Phantom"
AC looks dated. Very Dated. But PC has worse physics.
your shit looks very dated
+Dmitriy S in english please, where do you come from ?russia ?
Oxydoum my english is bad) But I'll try.
"No, this is simply an overabundance PCars gloss for hamsters. Damage to the realism of the picture, by the way".
Yes, Russia, alas...
+Oxydoum this track at the beginning and end is brutal.. where can i find it please?
Young Mozart "The Phantom"
Project Cars has a mod for the 458 while Assetto Corsa has it
Wtf why i Don't have ant ferrari on project cars? Where do i see dlc's ?
+dabbo gallo check the description
Oxydoum oh ok now i see, thank you
My two cents, based on what i see here, Project Cars looks and sounds better, but AC feels better, the way the car moves seems more like the real deal, I mean. I wanna buy one, but I'm still not sure which one >
+HaveBeardWillTravel buy both or wait for pcars2
If I had the funds to do so I would not be facing this dilemma right now, don't you think?
so.... what should I buy? ac or pc or both?
+강호선 both...to have your own opinion, play racing game isnt only about graphics, its about drive feeling with the wheel (if you have one) or gamepad.
Lol I can't choose so I got both. Project Cars is more arcadey between the two but also very beautiful
So thanks!
+Ralph Green this is it,u take a game for graphics or driving feeling ?some people are different about that.
Onboard cam, AC the sound looks like inside helmet, PC sound is like on the roof.
+Mauricio Trevisan its a different point of view, each game have good and bad
sorry what difference use this mod and default one? thanks
Its 2 different games. On the video, the viewer can only listen the sound...its really different and the graphics onboard the cockpit
4:02 what is this mod in the right hand corner?
Ov1 app.👌
Everybody who dont know the difference, project cars is for the grafics and playing a "game"...Assetto Corsa is for physics and tracksurface but mainly a real "Simulator" not like the other ones that call themselves like that but in reality they are all "Games" except of Assetto Corsa
is there a ferrari in project cars? and how do i drive it
+Gino Hendriks check the description
Can anyone tell me the intro song name?
I say project corsa. Project cars graphics and assetto corsa handling and physics.
Since when did Project Cars get the Ferrari license??
+The Ymid nooo bro,no licence but its a mod.it is the same developers of the game test drive legends ferrari u can try it if u want.all on description.
How does project cars have a Ferrari? Is this a mod?
Yep,its a mod.all is on description
both sound good, but AC gear changes sound a bit gran turismo-ish which isnt good
+jamaicanlovrboy what is the true sound ?maybe one guy who have a f458 in real life could say US.
Song at 0:00 ?
+Car Acceleration TV on the description or on the comments.somebody already asked me
where?
Young Mozart "The Phantom"
Song name of the beginning in the video?
music :Young mozart - The phantom
Thanks alot ;)
asseto is for drifting project is for racing
Drifting is for people not good at racing. AC is a race sim, hence racing.
how did you get ferrari in PC? is it mod?
yep its a mod,all is on the descrption
there is no ferrari in project!!!
+Moreno Verhoeven ok if you want to believe that.take your time and read the description before talking
Car models of Assetto Corso have more finnesse it seems, but the visuals quality of project cars is much ahead of AC. Project cars have better shaders, texture and effects.
+Ravi's Techzone what is the most important ?graphics, gameplay, sound, content ?the perfect game doesnt exist
Oxydoum
Never thought of that. Whats ur view?
Why the hell is it easier to drive a fast car in real life then on Computer with wheel?
because its a video game and lot of people can try this car and go to 250 or 300 km on a game ,in real its really different, the feeling with the wheel, the vibrations and all the rest,i think a ferrari this is not a car that drives but a car that pilot, and on videogames every guy can drive it
Ferrari in Project Cars??? Where?
+Marko Polo here boy....ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html on the description.u can try if u want
What the projec cars////
458 in project cars????
+jin kazama and yesssss bro.all is in description if you want to try.its a mod from test drive ferrari legends.it was the same developers
+Oxydoum sad i dont have a computer:(
+jin kazama ahhh very sad,the car is very cool.ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html look at 15:00 i do a challenge between fast cars on Nordschleife.the ferrari is the first.next will be porsche 918spyder and after my followers choose between 3 cars that i suggest.
secondo me dovevi far vedere anche i danni
but is something i dont understand
458 and 488 ferrari are in project cars ???????????????????????
+Bernard Lebrun this is a mod,i didnt make any video with the 488 but if u see any video about that, its a mod.BUT in pc2 u will see the licence ferrari but i cant show you that for the moment.
thanks a lot for your rapid response and explaination mon ami :) i ve been quite informed
and by the way, : good video!!!
PCars is like Forza.. Flashy graphics, simcade feel. Assetto Corsa is the better simulation, with amazing force feedback!
+bliglum i prefer pcars than forza but i have to test forza with the wheel because for the moment on pc the wheels aren't t available
Project Cars has very LOUD car sounds, lmao.
since when did project cars have a F458
+Elijah Dobson since a few days because you can add some cars from other games created by same project cars developers like test drive ferrari legends for example.Everything is on the description of this video ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html.u can try if u want.
+Oxydoum ok cool, and slightly mad studios is the developers right?
+Oxydoum never mind im a xbox user lol
+Elijah Dobson yep
+Elijah Dobson ahhh on console you cant use mods.its only for pc
in this mod AC has better sound and PC have better graphics
for me project cars is better, graphics and sound is better
there isn't a 458 in project cars
+Thije Kampman this is a mod.u can install it if u want.all is on the description.check the video at 4:22 this is pcars hud.before talking watch the full video bro.
I love seeing Asseto Corsas potato graphics
pcars' monza have like super tiny straights
+Kalamede on Wheels No it doesn't, the car in AC is driven a little more slowly, or the two car models have different accelerations. I noticed in AC that cars seem to reach top speed faster than in other sims.
Search youtube for this video and see they are pretty much the same lap times. "iRacing Vs PCARS Vs AC - Monza Graphics & Sound (DigiProst)"
+adam konstantinou u are definetly right, its very strange because when i try the same track and the same car,i finish earlier on pcars.maybe there are some differences today between the tracks or something or maybe he just got a high high ++ config comparing to me.lol.and i want to test iracing a lot in watching this kind of videos.maybe later.
adam konstantinou In spa francorchamps you do hotlaps in around 1:16-17? and in assetto corsa the same, pcars is 1:13, anyways im going to watch that video, but its normal to get different laptimes becouse of non laser scanned tracks
you are right, the 3 monzas seem to be closer, maybe its the FOV or the diferences in the type of FOVS, the hood camera has always a high fov settings and almost the same in all games
its just strange, when you search gt3 hotlapping videos, you will see that also in monza, in iracing and assetto corsa the times are 1:46-47-48, but in project cars you see laptimes in 1:44-43, those things makes me think that something on pcars isnt right
Guys Pcars has no Ferraris, what you see here is a ripped and probably illegal mod with questionable physics...
+Havocc yep this is a mod from shift2.
The assetta corsa one looks prettier beacuse project cars is modded on the video
Assetto Corsa interior: 10/10
Project Cars interior: 5/10
PR is for kids....good graphics and nothing more.......AC gives good drive feeling and sounds better( no weird robotic sound).
+Rain Saar i say the same speech on my future video (but its in french) its like forza which is beautiful or driveclub but driving feeling is bad
i vote project cars!!!!
Oxydoum No doubt.
AV1ch Agreed
In the end all these games aren't so far from each other but AC, with rF2 and maybe iRacing are definitly all in the top tier.
assetta has plastic cars and project has mirror cars... devs should not have to set reflecttivity to 0 or 1...
The ferrari in pcars is a mod, that's why the reflections look so weird
The best race sim is Assetto Corsa.
Project Cars is arcade.
+Edson Oliveira nooo need for speed is arcade but pcars is better than this.
Project Cars is a simulator but not so hardcore as AC!
assetto corsa looks good but project cars looks like a forza motorsport
btw who gives a shit about graphics when you play a sim?! WHat´s all important is the physics and FFB, the rest is eye candy.
Project Cars
Project Cars doesn't have Ferrari. It's a fake!
+Felice Tranchina this isnt a fake.all is on the description on this video ua-cam.com/video/r2SCYtlAv14/v-deo.html.you can try yourself if you want.this is a mod from test drive ferrari legends which have the same developers.before speaking......try to search information.thks you for watching.
um there's isn't a Ferrari in Project Cars, maybe Forza?? lol
