Friendly reminder: we're only half-way through there series. Make sure to subscribe to get updates on next weeks videos on Quest Design, Localization, Music, Lore & More. Thanks so much for watching, we hope you're been enjoying them.
Noclip Can you guys comment on the working conditions over there? Since you were there I thought maybe I could get an unbiased opinion from you because I haven't been hearing much positive things about actually working for CD Projekt Red. So I wondered if you could maybe give some inside into that.
So, you're the guys that has made me addicted to Witcher 3. I'm 73 and have had the game since it first came out. Today is january 18, 2024 and I'm still playing. The immersion, the graphics, can't do quest for riding or running through the forests all over the maps. It's so amazing !! I constantly ask myself (on 17th play through now),... how do they do that ?? I have over 1000 snap shots in a special folder, of sunrises, sunsets, full moon at night. You guys are geniuses. Thank you for a beautiful world and quests that takes me away from the wicked reality of this world we live in today. STANDING OVATION TO ALL OF YOU !
The depth of their level design is outstanding. I love how they thought through the smallest facts like - there is a famine, let's clear loot crates of food. And 000 bug was hilarious.
As an aspiring game designer, it's so damn heartwarming and inspirational to listen to this. It's everything I've ever dreamed of being, and everything I enjoy about designing games. I've heard about CD Projekt Red's ridiculous crunch hours, but damn I would probably call it worth it to work those hours just to see the gorgeous result of our work come to life. Just beautiful.
Absolutely fascinating. Thank you so much to CDPR for allowing this, and NoClip for making it happen. As a lifelong gamer, seeing things like this is just incredible.
People cant believe this came from Poland, a second world country of the eastern block and being the best looking, most interesting, fascinating and creative game of all time beating any gamein almost every aspect of sound, visuals, characters, story, lore...
They sort of missed a beat when they didn’t interrogate CDPR on why detective vision was included. Basically every quest becomes a case of interacting with every highlighted object ad nauseam instead of the player exercising a modicum of critical thinking.
After finishing the Witcher 3, I was literally depressed for days. I've never had that reaction to a game. Witcher Withdrawal Syndrome (WWS) was real. The mission with the Ophans and Old lady really got me dude. I would check in on them like they were real people.
TheMatrixHasYou 01010 yeah.. WWS Is real man. The moment I finished blood & wine was the heaviest feelings I've ever had in my entire life.. It's strange how a game could give a massive impact on your life. I was crying on the inside for a whole month for fuck sake!
Every time I see a video with cut scenes from the game, or like when they released the 10 years anniversary cut scene, it reach me so deep inside and makes me want to cry... I mean, no game ever did this to me. I have no word to describe the experience it was to play this game. I'm just holding up and hoping to see Cyberpunk before 2077 lol. I just know this is the next one that will bring back those kind of feelings.
I still haven't completed the last DLC. I'm at the beginning of it. I just can't bring myself to play it. If I play it, it'll all be over. Yes, I realize the insanity of it. Now I've forgotten the gameplay and it'd take me some time to get back into it. I'll go back to it someday. A plus is that many patches have been released since, fixing many bugs.
I spent my entire playthrough avoiding fast travel. A significant amount of my time in game was spent on Roach, just traveling between towns and cities and getting lost in the world. I will never forget those instants of absolute calm, hearing the birds song, the wind rushing through the trees, and the farmers tending their fields. I think that is what I will remember most from The Wild Hunt. I will always remember those moments fondly as some of my favorite in all of my time playing video games. Many thanks to all of the devs for their unyielding commitment to quality and boundless love and passion for this medium!
One thing that I found really interesting about the game, was that while travelling the world I kept saying "it' looks so beautiful" [takes a screenshot] then when I checked the screenshot it wouldn't look that good, and I realized all the movement, animation, and dynamic lighting is what really gave it it's beauty.
my god kaer morhen, i could barely get through it during the main story because i kept stoppin and looking at the the views... my favorite and most immersive place in video game. it really felt like a beautiful secluded place where expert monster fighter would train.
Having played the first one, I was also amazed at the consistency, the place was exactly as I remembered: the courtyard where you fight the frightener, the bedroom where you woo Triss and the fireplace were she stands unconscious, didn't even changed the frescoes Then when I saw the young witcher's grave and the dlc mine I just lost it, it was such a weird moment of nostalgia, I really wonder what it was like for those who played the original in 2007. And they pulled the same shit off with Vizima's castle, seeing the lilies removed from the pavement where you talked to Foltest or returning to the garden where you fight the Order's grandmaster, some next level dedication to worldbuilding is on display at every corner
Croz Raven exept the fact that Bethesda has way more interactivity like you can move a sword and every item in your inventory is modeled but in The Witcher when you drop an object it's just in a bag like really my sword fit in that
Fallout 4 is still a good game no where near the Witcher 3 though but still a good game with love and care put into it they just really failed at some of the core fallout aspects but it's still very enjoyable
Writer Shard obviously the Witcher 3 to me is Skyrim without the interactivity and writing that's x1000000000 better also better combat which I always said would be the perfect game to me Skyrim with good gameplay and writing
Orangesax Fallout 4 developed for 4-5 years, that's not rushed. Meanwhile, New Vegas which is developed by Obsidian only took 1,5 years and it's already a better Fallout game (excluding graphics). Yep ...
Same. At least there's the "Geralt of Rivia's Pro Witcher 3" mod on nexus: www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2586/? I love your work Karak (ACG)! You are always very technical, yet cover all the aspects of production and you're even sharp as fuck with your humour! Beautiful work... too bad for the long ass advertising, every god damn review ;) :D
Karak!!!!! SEE THIS is why you are on the most sincere and respectable content creators on UA-cam....You are clearly involved and supportive of the community, You are the shit man, ive really enjoyed growing with youre channel. :)
There is a GDC talk about Witcher 3 and that bug was mentioned. They said that at one point they didn't understand why the world had such a high poly count. So they made the Asset previewer with a "heat" map, and that place was glowing red with millions of polygons.
i'm loving these documentaries so much! i actually found that strange unique plant at 000 totally randomly and tried to figure out what it was, knowing what it is now is fantastic :]
It's easy to get so into the game that you forget about the thought and intent built into the design, which I really appreciate being explored here. The internal build footage in particular is really great to see after hearing how iterative the world-building process is. The snowboarding bit is great, some 30 hours into the game I started climbing mountains and sliding down them just the same. SSX Witchy? The zero-zero bug is also a really fun anecdote, particularly with intercutting the differing perspectives on that situation.
I played 120 hours and did most quests in the game. They didn’t copy The Witcher 3. There are interviews where the designers say they took inspiration from The Witcher 3. And the voice acting is actually pretty good.
I have to say these are fascinating, normally I find with longer interviews I'll half-listen and be doing other stuff. But with these I'm listening intently and have been surprised to have reached the end and gone "wait that was 25 minutes?" Great topics and amazing stories, but also major props for the interviewing, editing and little interludes with game snippets. So major props for that, keep it up and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
Looking at how they constructed White Orchard, and how they go about designing the places makes me appreciate the areas so much more because of how beautiful they made these areas. The lighting, the thought and care put into every building placements, etc. It's inspiring.
The best RPG of this entire generation. The best game of this generation of this generation to me. Of the decade... pretty close. Compiling all the good Games, this is definitely one of the top depending on what kind of games you look for.
Saki Annette if BotW didn’t have Amiibo crap and the combat was a little better and if the performance was a better, definitely would contend in my book. Has the best world along with the Witcher. I like Witcher Combat more and to me best RPG combat. Well besides Souls/borne games. But for the type of RPG it definitely is up there
This game has entered the legend. This is one of the best games of all time. CDPR we love you !!! We want another Witcher not strongly with Geralt but we need another one. This is one of the biggest expectations of gamer. I will also love a port of Witcher 1 on Next Gen to be able to finally do it on these machines because it is important to have success / trophies games we like. If you do this personally I buy directly without inquiring. After the monument you made with Witcher 3, I no longer wonder.
I recently replayed W3, because I got the Complete Edition. I didn’t know my save wouldn’t transfer, but OH WELL....I loved playing the game again, and did every single mission possible. I was completely sucked in all over again. The music, the world, the amazing story telling......its just so wonderful. I’ve never been a big fantasy person, but this game is truly special. I am waiting to dive into the DLC finally, until my Witcher jonez is unbearable. Hearing this music is killing me though. Its the dramatic White Orchard tune, and reminds of being there for the first time, exploring, unraveling mysteries about small towns abandoned due to some monster. I discovered so much I never saw the first time through!!! I never visited the Nilfgard camp on my first playthrough, so getting to do all of those missions was a treat. I didn’t elect to assassinate Radovid on my first playthrough.....what a mistake, because fuck that guy! The only things I didn’t complete were all those damn ?’s in the water around Skellige. Its hard to imagine ever not wanting to play this again. I’m thrilled that Nintendo-only people who think that BOTW is so good, will get to experience W3. BOTW was cool, but its not even in the same league as W3.
One of my fond memories of their level design was that one playthrough I took a break from questing to simply learn the streets of novigrad: shortcuts, best roads to travel on roach and on foot, landmarks, merchants, nice views. No other video game inspired me to simply tour a fictional city like Novigrad did. Night city on the other hand…😞
I know this comment is 3 years old and is pointless to reply to, but I think that's what actually helped them produce a great open-world. They did not have previous experiences limiting what they thought had to be in an open-world, so they just went bonkers with the details.
@@TheMCmace I felt like the game was very superficial, most quest were forgettables, so were the dungeons, you were supposed to be a godlike being but you don't really have much agency in the world Soundtrack was one the best ever, at least
It's crazy how they were able to knock it so far out of the park on their very first attempt at a game of this magnitude especially considering what happened with Cyberpunk. The Witcher 3 was like the perfect storm of an amazing game experience.
When they were telling that story I got it wrong that there was a quest out this, and was even thinking "why the heck did I miss it??", and got disapointed after they said there was only a tree there. Why didn't they make quest out of this?? hahaha
I became a Patron before realizing I hadn't even subscribed yet! I'm so excited that someone in gaming journalism has emphasized quality in their work. Thank you so much for making these!
Thank you Danny (and the Noclip team). I have been a fan since you started on Gamespot and you continue to produce amazing content...Cheers mate and hope all the best for the future...
Yes there was the fast travel option but I found myself most of the time wandering through the world and just being in awe of how amazingly detailed and beautiful it was! Really an amazing game!
They did such an awesome job on this game. I've never played a better game in 35 yrs of gaming. The level design, the world, the engine, the music, the story, the adult-themes to the relationships - CDPR just absolutely nailed this game. Hope they do another Witcher trilogy down the road.
Really appreciate all the work that NoClip/Danny+team have put into this series, as well as all the time / effort CD Projekt Red put into the interviews and especially the worlds they have created. It really is a treat to see the passion and minds behind the games we love.
Oh man...this game. Never had a game such powerful atmosphere. The moment it loads...boom...you are there in the books. One game to rule them all...one game to bind them... :)
I did some, but then realized how tedious it would be and then gave up--I was already done with the main story so I didn't need supplies, so what was the point?
Great work once again! Thank you for all the effort, Danny. On a side note, I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard that 'gimp' line from Pulp Fiction appear in the Bloody Baron section the game, glad it made it into your film :) Cheers!
This series makes me wanna replay The Witcher 3 again. I've put 794 hours into it and finished my latest playthrough roughly 2 weeks ago. Now i have to fight the temptation to play it again lmao
I'm on my second playthrough on the updated Series X version and I'm already 80 hours in. I had well over 100 hours on my first playthrough also. I've given CDPR alot of hours this year between Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk!! 🔥🔥 great video !! Thanks 👊
i acually never used the fast travel, the world was so amazing it never felt boring to travel the world. Sometimes i forgot i was acually going somewhere and was just completely sidetracked
danny, you and your team at noclip are really accomplishing something special. i've watched all of the noclip documentaries from the beginning of the channel and have loved them all. but with this series...the witcher means so much to me. escaping to its universe helped me a lot in a tough time in my life. i can't express how much i appreciate these videos about it because it just validates how amazing the witcher 3 is. thank you and i look forward to the next episode. when i'm in a better place financially i look forward to becoming a patron.
I wish every game dev had this much passion for their game. Games like theses should be considered a piece of art. And people playing this kinda games should be called true gamers unlike multiplayer gamers which do same thing over and over again. Tell me, can you feel really sad after losing in a multi-player game, maybe for a moment, but hit the button again and there you are, back to where it all started. Unlike games like Witcher 3, where I literally felt sad and empty after completing the game, and by competing I meant all of it, every corner, every story, every quest, every hunt. I thank devs like CPR for making these games, not just to loot money from gamers, but to truly express something magnificent.
The thought that goes into designing a simple village that you can literally just ride through is incredible. When people complain about Cyberpunk being delayed, they should watch this and see the amount of, not just effort, but thought that goes into even the smallest of details.
Danny, there has not been a single video of yours that I didn't absolutely love! Even if I had no interest in the game/topic you still manage to hook me every time. Congratulations to you and your team for absolutely amazing work!
God bless CDPR man. My favorite part is how they come from bleak grey socialism and saw western values and market opportunities come to their nation, and they worked HARD. And it shows. They are the hardest working most passionate devs in the gaming industry. The saying goes “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times” and I believe CDPR embodies that in the gaming industry.
Your conception of what poland is like is hilarious. It's just another country man. Yes, it's quite weak economically but the day to day life is almost exactly the same as anywhere else. And it's not socialist by any means.
Loved this, really fascinating insight into a brilliant studio team behind one of the greatest games ever. The Witcher 3 was my first introduction to the series and it blew me away, the immersion was incredible and I remember so many great moments so vividly, from the dialogue to the towns and activities. I can’t wait to see what’s in store when the new game releases on next gen consoles with their amazing capabilities.
I'm so glad you went your own route and founded Noclip. It's such a joy to watch. I've been wanting to get into the journalistic side of video games, but never really knew where to start.. But you're putting out such high quality content that I get inspired every time I check out one of your videos. And you seem like a really chill dude too. Kudos, Danny. Keep at it!
I loved this game way more than I thought I would. I tried TW2 and wasn't totally sold on it, but still gave TW3 a chance because of all the good things I was hearing. I'm so glad I picked it up, it skyrocketed towards the top of the list of my favorite games.
21:53 - The reason why I very rarely fast travel in open world games and also why I've come to love exploring on horseback or on foot in these games. I'm very glad the devs had so much fun making this game, it is evident in the experience and part of the reason why this game is such a huge success!
Knocked it out of the park again Danny! I first watched your documentary on John Romero and was hooked. To see the connection to Ireland was awesome and this one stirs those feelings again. Much more intimate sit down with the designers and really gives us a sense of the amount of care and effort that went into making the game world live and breathe.
absolute class. the details in this game were outstanding. HUGE KUDOS to the cd projekt red team, we appreciate your passion and work. i would often find my self panning the camera near a wall or other item so the camera would zoom in and you could see the details in the environment. IT DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED. A first person option would have been good as well, mostly because you could have seen the amazing environment work, but still one of the best games ever. in every respect.
It truly is rare to see such passion in the development of a game. No wonder the Witcher 3 is the most memorable game I have ever played. The attention to detail..the passion and hard work by the developers is totally evident. This company truly deserves all the acclaim that they have gotten. Great job CDP. I am sure you are really proud of your work of art. Thanks Noclip for bringing this story to us. You have truly picked a fantastic developer/series to do this documentary. There is so many life lessons to inspire us in everything that we do. The story of CDP is truly the story of perseverance and “preparation meeting opportunity”.
I loved seeing the people behind this amazingly detailed world!!! Thank u so much! I could see their passion for the game, it was like their baby they all had a part in raising from Day 1 to 18 Years old where they then finally were ready to let it "go" into the world for everyone to enjoy. This is a masterpiece.
Just WOW.... Thank you for serving up this retrospective. Really tugged on the heartstrings regarding my time with the game. Another playthrough needed no question.
It’s a very strange feeling, having put in so many hours into the game as a player in what is now my third attempt to do everything, I feel I have gained an intimate connection to the game’s creators through their art. For example, before watching this video, I too laughed at the discovery of the odd ham sandwiches that might be found in an ancient tomb and would feel as though I was laughing with the person responsible for its existence. Now that feeling is confirmed! If anyone involved in Witcher 3’s existence is reading this, Congratulations and thank you. You’ve given me well over 100 hours of enjoyment and peace and it’s because it shines through how much love went into your art that very rarely do I fast-travel
Nice to see the Patreon crew growing up, asap I'll become a patreon too, the work Noclip is doing is really something else, differs from everything we see in the industry today... Congrats guys!
21:20 And here's a difference between Witcher 3 and Skyrim. In Skyrim you walk into those ancient ruins and find lit torches, fresh food, and current currency.
There's a quest in W3 with the oneiromancer where the house is abandoned but there's cows milk and fresh fruit in every single container. Fuck off with these stupid comments.
Seriously enjoy just riding around on Roach and seeing the world. It is awesome because most of the quests I get are random encounters, like saving a dude from a pack ghouls, seeing bandits terrorize people and just seeing the world. I get lost in Novigrad, would've been awesome to have a mechanic that enabled Geralt to rent a room at "hotel" take a bath and sleep. The team has done a lot to this world and for us as gamers, you have our thanks!
The production quality of this series is just amazing. I really hope that game studios and publishers will notice your work and will gladly cooperate with you guys in the future. There are many more stories to tell.
Friendly reminder: we're only half-way through there series. Make sure to subscribe to get updates on next weeks videos on Quest Design, Localization, Music, Lore & More. Thanks so much for watching, we hope you're been enjoying them.
I will gladly support your channel ! Great inside view !
are they going to update the combat? because it's the weakest part of the entire game which is a real shame considering that this is a action RPG.
Noclip Can you guys comment on the working conditions over there? Since you were there I thought maybe I could get an unbiased opinion from you because I haven't been hearing much positive things about actually working for CD Projekt Red. So I wondered if you could maybe give some inside into that.
Fantastic work Danny.
Do they talk about expansions? I want to hear about Blood and Wine. Fantastic work btw :D

Im 50 Years old game is amazing..but Try Kingdome come Deliverance and Skyrim..this is my holy trio games when come to medival world..
How many in-game hours do you have?
The depth of their level design is outstanding. I love how they thought through the smallest facts like - there is a famine, let's clear loot crates of food.
And 000 bug was hilarious.

Its right up there with Bethesda for sure.
Suprisingly the Polish are good at polish.
Lunaries ....
Whats the 000bug?
witcher 3 best game
good words dr grandayy
damn right my daily meme dealer
how the fuck did you get here
ahh i see you're a man of culture memedayy
Master!
Geralt on a snowboard is the funniest thing I've ever seen XD
yep 😂😂
Shell Comics they're setting a new standard for next gen gaming for sure
I agree, too bad that they don't build it in, maybe as an Easter egg.
There should've been a snowboard race series. Heck with the horse racing.
Almost as funny as Snake on a skateboard
Absolutely fascinating. Thank you so much to CDPR for allowing this, and NoClip for making it happen. As a lifelong gamer, seeing things like this is just incredible.
I agree. This is amazing.
People cant believe this came from Poland, a second world country of the eastern block and being the best looking, most interesting, fascinating and creative game of all time beating any gamein almost every aspect of sound, visuals, characters, story, lore...
Second world country? Damn, Poland is no longer under communist rule. It's really not that bad.
They sort of missed a beat when they didn’t interrogate CDPR on why detective vision was included. Basically every quest becomes a case of interacting with every highlighted object ad nauseam instead of the player exercising a modicum of critical thinking.
What's the name of your dragon in your profile man?

yeah. blood and wine. i really love that dlc. i felt empty after finishing it... i just never wanted it to end
Geralt's look into the camera in the last cutscene of Blood & Wine. It's things like that which make this a true masterpiece.
Every time I see a video with cut scenes from the game, or like when they released the 10 years anniversary cut scene, it reach me so deep inside and makes me want to cry... I mean, no game ever did this to me.

OMG I got a reply !! Wohoo !!

No to mention about the music of there.
That was me when I first arrived in Skellige after spending so much time in Novigrad
I just realized, compared this with Fallout 4, the world building and the devs dedications alone are already massively superior.
Croz Raven exept the fact that Bethesda has way more interactivity like you can move a sword and every item in your inventory is modeled but in The Witcher when you drop an object it's just in a bag like really my sword fit in that

Yeah they definitely put some heart into it, we cannot just dismiss that. But at the same time, it's not as good as TW3.
Writer Shard obviously the Witcher 3 to me is Skyrim without the interactivity and writing that's x1000000000 better also better combat which I always said would be the perfect game to me Skyrim with good gameplay and writing

Of course, it lacks Geralt's sick snowboard and headgear from the video D: and instead produces sparks from the ground.

Interesting guess I was right about a couple things in the Walking the Walk witcher video. Fun stuff. Excited to see the rest!

Okay now I'm confused as to why you'd never have Danny on the podcast if you actually *do* enjoy his content
Oh do i wish they had a picture or video of the 000 bug. It sounds so goddam amazing.
There is a GDC talk about Witcher 3 and that bug was mentioned. They said that at one point they didn't understand why the world had such a high poly count. So they made the Asset previewer with a "heat" map, and that place was glowing red with millions of polygons.

isensmith just re downloading it so i can find it!
How i can find it
Where can i find it?
As a filipino it makes me smile knowing that one of my countrymen helped design the best game i have ever played :) proud of you lende gracia!

Dude looks like he's twelve years old though 😂

LOL the T-pose guy in the background at 10:10 !!
there are two of them in that scene! XD
I hope that Square Enix (Final Fantasy XV), Ubisoft (all games) and EA (all games) are watching.
Nah, they are just busy producing fabrication games every year or two.
I played 120 hours and did most quests in the game. They didn’t copy The Witcher 3. There are interviews where the designers say they took inspiration from The Witcher 3. And the voice acting is actually pretty good.
@@wakkjobbwizard yep!
butterpastor game is ok. Origins is better though and I want another game with bayek
@@yunghobo4849 word!
I have to say these are fascinating, normally I find with longer interviews I'll half-listen and be doing other stuff. But with these I'm listening intently and have been surprised to have reached the end and gone "wait that was 25 minutes?"
Great topics and amazing stories, but also major props for the interviewing, editing and little interludes with game snippets. So major props for that, keep it up and I can't wait for the rest of the series!
@24:28 "It is amazing feeling. Like I'm part of something special. Special game. And a special company." Such a nice guy. It's so true.
I'm only twelve minutes in and am about to cry just because of the memories the Kaer Morhen soundtrack brings back. Damn I love CD Projekt
That Philippino individual seems super cool, very enthusiastic about their role in building the world
Looking at how they constructed White Orchard, and how they go about designing the places makes me appreciate the areas so much more because of how beautiful they made these areas. The lighting, the thought and care put into every building placements, etc. It's inspiring.
witcher 3 is the best game of this decade imo...
The best RPG of this entire generation. The best game of this generation of this generation to me. Of the decade... pretty close. Compiling all the good Games, this is definitely one of the top depending on what kind of games you look for.
Breath Of The Wild says hello.
nah....but in top 10 for sure if combat, controls were better it would have been
Saki Annette if BotW didn’t have Amiibo crap and the combat was a little better and if the performance was a better, definitely would contend in my book. Has the best world along with the Witcher.
I like Witcher Combat more and to me best RPG combat. Well besides Souls/borne games. But for the type of RPG it definitely is up there
Combat is love. A bit of movement with Roach is ekh.
Man these keep getting better. Well done!!! My favorite part so far! Can't wait to see what's next.
Wow, Len de Gracia is a really great storyteller. Made the topic of environment art interesting and fun to hear about.
I don't know if you know, but they confirmed that they will be making another Witcher and the protagonist will NOT be Geralt. (03.2020)
@@Catalinddm I don’t know if YOU know but yeah there’s more news

"I remember it, vividly; they were blue cylinders."

The hunt for ''Zero Tree'' begins
haha right with ya!
Lol ye
oh, it's gonna be
_WILD HUNT_
Did you find it ?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Is a piece of art. Our generations Mona Lisa.
I would kill to get this documentary series released on Blu-ray: perfect collectors item.
This game definitely did a good job of making the human populated areas feel living. Probably the best I've seen yet.
by far the most beautiful world in a video game
No one on this team had made an open world game before? WHAT!?
Yep , they product the witcher 1 with no one know how to create video game
I know this comment is 3 years old and is pointless to reply to, but I think that's what actually helped them produce a great open-world. They did not have previous experiences limiting what they thought had to be in an open-world, so they just went bonkers with the details.
@@eenayeah great perspective
The amount of detail in this game makes skyrim look like child's play.
I actually cant agree because skyrim is 5 years older and its pretty detailed as well
@F D okay, but the characters and story still suck so it doesn’t matter.
The amount of detail in every RPG worth its salt puts that mess to shame
Skyrim had much detail but it was a buggy mess like every Bethesda game
@@TheMCmace I felt like the game was very superficial, most quest were forgettables, so were the dungeons, you were supposed to be a godlike being but you don't really have much agency in the world
Soundtrack was one the best ever, at least
It's crazy how they were able to knock it so far out of the park on their very first attempt at a game of this magnitude especially considering what happened with Cyberpunk. The Witcher 3 was like the perfect storm of an amazing game experience.
19:20 guess we got ourselves a new field trip on our next play through...FIND THOSE zero zero zero coordinates!
When they were telling that story I got it wrong that there was a quest out this, and was even thinking "why the heck did I miss it??", and got disapointed after they said there was only a tree there. Why didn't they make quest out of this?? hahaha
Where exactly on the map is that tree I want to find it
Thank you everyone who helped create this beautiful game.
I'll keep buying cd red projekt their games.
Because they are the developpers PC gaming needs.
Needs badly. They are the good guys.
Oh man...this game. Never had a game such powerful atmosphere. The moment it loads...boom...you are there in the books. One game to rule them all...one game to bind them... :)
Those smuggler caches in Skellige... Good grief, the OCD in me made me waste at least a week just collecting them all.
Thats why Ive yet to do them, I know I'll get frustrated doing them, yet theyre basically the only thing I have yet to do
I did them all within a few days, even though I hated it.
I did some, but then realized how tedious it would be and then gave up--I was already done with the main story so I didn't need supplies, so what was the point?
@@princessthyemis coin. Upgrading the Rune guy, restoring Corvo Bianco and having the sets of all legendary witcher school gear can be costly
What they did with houses is incredible. Sure, one can notice the same beds and tables but every house at least feels totally unique
I still can't comprehend how they build such a game. So much effort and creativity. It's beautiful!
Great work once again! Thank you for all the effort, Danny. On a side note, I nearly fell out of my chair when I heard that 'gimp' line from Pulp Fiction appear in the Bloody Baron section the game, glad it made it into your film :) Cheers!
Best episode yet!
The beauty of the world, especially Skellige still blows me away!

There are 2 games that made me so emotional Horizon Zero Dawn and The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt i never felt like this before in all games i have played
That T-posing and sliding npc in the background at 10:11 is just beautiful. Perfect art direction and it just fits so cozily into the environment.
this kind of documentarys only made me love more Witcher 3 and CD Projekt Red. thanks
I appreciate what they did with the fast travel
Thanks a lot for this series of documentaries!!! They are awesome! CD Projekt Red is awesome! Can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077.
LOL
Woof
The intro to Spikeroog might be the most beautiful thing I've heard in my life.
The thought that goes into designing a simple village that you can literally just ride through is incredible. When people complain about Cyberpunk being delayed, they should watch this and see the amount of, not just effort, but thought that goes into even the smallest of details.
It's a miracle this game even exists!
Danny, there has not been a single video of yours that I didn't absolutely love! Even if I had no interest in the game/topic you still manage to hook me every time. Congratulations to you and your team for absolutely amazing work!
CD Projekt, one of he best game developers ever. The amount of effort in their work is amazing.
what a treat to stumble on this randomly 5 years after it was made. my favorite game. really proud of everyone who contributed to Witcher 3.
do they realize that this game is one of the best in gaming history,
The music and the wind in the trees are the two things I'll never forget.
David Jones It doesn't seem like they worked hard... I think they were mostly just playing, having fun. As it should be.

Your conception of what poland is like is hilarious. It's just another country man. Yes, it's quite weak economically but the day to day life is almost exactly the same as anywhere else.
And it's not socialist by any means.
@@FruchteisMitErdbeer Was not is.
Greatest video game ever made, no question. Nostalgia makes you love some older games, but in reality, the Wild Hunt rules all.
Part where they talk about optimization passes and bug fixing - Bethesda would've called it a day at that point.
Best/most fun RPG game i've ever played....Can't wait till Cyberpunk 2077
absolute class. the details in this game were outstanding.
Witcher 3, the best game in my entire life. I won't forget it till I died. Thank you CDPR for making this masterpiece.
Wonderful documentary!!!!
I love this documentary!
Just WOW.... Thank you for serving up this retrospective. Really tugged on the heartstrings regarding my time with the game. Another playthrough needed no question.
Oh shit, now i wanna replay The Witcher 3...
Great stuff as always
Nice to see the Patreon crew growing up, asap I'll become a patreon too, the work Noclip is doing is really something else, differs from everything we see in the industry today... Congrats guys!
There won't be another like this.
Oh, how I wish there was footage of the results of the 0-0 glitch. This series is an absolute delight.
21:20 And here's a difference between Witcher 3 and Skyrim. In Skyrim you walk into those ancient ruins and find lit torches, fresh food, and current currency.
I can understand why some Burrows in Skyrim have lit torches there is a book that says the Draughr keep the tombs "clean and lit",but fresh carrots? .
bet you werent complaining when it first came out hahah no one was...
My new mission, to find the 0, 0, 0, transform tree. :D
The production quality of this series is just amazing. I really hope that game studios and publishers will notice your work and will gladly cooperate with you guys in the future. There are many more stories to tell.
