Thank you for your wonderful, beautiful, heartbreaking, and most amazing testimony that has touched my heart. It is so very the words to express how much I needed to hear it. I'm 72. I've lost my husband to cancer, lost our home od over 20 years because of illnesses, lost my daughter to now living with my wonderful mom who took in my husband and I, then later my daughter who had no place to go. She passed away in Feb. Cancers took her. I've been blessed. I've lost most every material thing that my husband and I had. I know my father in heaven loves me too. I would love so much to meet you and your family. To share with my children, grandchildren, your story. Thank you again for your testimony.

Your story reflects my story in some ways. My husband was sick with brain tumors on and off for 21 years. He passed away 10 years ago. In those 21 we raised 2 children and struggled financially. We decided to live in an apartment instead of struggling to own a home and all the problems it and upkeep that comes with it. I had s bug load in my shoulders but God got me through it snd being a member of the LDS CHURCH has certainly had much to do with that. I’m sorry for the lost of your loved ones. I know Jesus Christ watches over us both. ❤️

Thank you for sharing this magnificent journey and conversion to the Lord. I have listened to you for so many years and my favorite part is that you really ask questions and look for answers. My husband and I joined the church over forty years ago. He to expressed to the missionaries that if you say anything that I don’t believe I will ask you to leave. I have always loved you and now that I know your conversion story I know why! Pray to God asking Him to bring your son to saving faith. Glen is most likely not where your son is, but God is where your son is and is very capable of getting his attention. Your son needs you to lean on God in his behalf. He is estranged from Christ, but you are apparently not. I say that because you care.

My family brought him and his fiancé into the Church at the time. Their story is also miraculous. I love how Glenn begins, about his belief that God had always been stalking him. @@puttingonchrist He worships a different Jesus - which would be false one. Mark 13:22 says there will be many false Christs The biblical Jesus saves as a free gift upon repentance of sin (change in mind) and trust in Jesus. We are saved FOR works (to do them), not BY them.

    • @puttingonchrist
      @puttingonchrist Місяць тому +16

I’ve met Glenn in person. My experience with him is that he was both kind and loving. I also know him to worship the Jesus of the Bible. As for repentance, it’s not just a “change of mind.” It involves, when correctly performed, a broken-hearted offering of one’s heart and soul, surrendering all to Jesus Christ (the One from the Bible). Have you done so, brother? If so, good on you. Your comment reminds me of the apostles’ concern as found in Luke 9:49-50, which reads: “And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us (i.e., he followeth some other Jesus)
“And Jesus said unto him, FORBID HIM NOT: for he that is not against us is for us.”
We would all do well to follow Jesus’ teaching and example, to not only “put up with” or “tolerate” our perceived enemies, but to love them as our very selves. God bless you on your journey to being sanctified by Him in all actuality and truth, but the journey is not an easy one. For as the Lord said, in speaking of the strait or narrow gate, “few there be that find it.” True that we are indeed saved by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ (the one from the Bible), for salvation cannot be earned through any of our dead works. It is the gift of God.

@@puttingonchrist Scripture warns in Mark 13:22 of the many false christs. Mormonism is clearly not Christianity; they worship a false one. We will NOT be a god/ Gods. There is only one Father!
If you love the biblical Jesus and the word of God (Jesus IS the word), you will be obedient to his command to “contend for the faith”. If you love Glen and all others that are being deceived by those promoting a different Jesus, you will defend the biblical Gospel. We aren’t to find truth in a man’s behavior OR a ‘feeling’ (‘burning in the bosom’.). It’s found in the WORD. Glen’s demeanor is not scripture. Besides, though his political conservatism can be appreciated, his fruit/ words reveal his deceived mind at times. Could he one day be saved? Sure, we hope so, but if and when, he will come OUT of that ungodly system. The Holy Spirit will burden him to stand for the narrow way that few find…Matt. 7:13-15.
False brethren are warned about in scripture (Gal. 2:4), as well as false christs (Mark 13:22), false teachers (2 Peter 2:1), false apostles (2Cor. 11:13), and false prophets (Matt. 7:15). Your comment feeds into the one world system that is accepting any who name the name of ‘Jesus’ or have a ‘claim’ w/ o justification that will have most all on board persecuting the true Christians willing to stick their neck out to defend the narrow way. Repent, please, and be forgiven.

    • @googlereplier8681
      @googlereplier8681 Місяць тому +3

@ Also, I repeated preach the contrite broken-heartedness over sin God needs to see in one but the actual definition of repentance is a change of mind, the reason being is because the ability to be able to walk out repentance comes as a work of God AFTER the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Since “salvation” is of the Lord”…a man first has to change his mind about holding on to sin/ or even calling it ok before God will save him. That all is bound up together…change of mind/ brokenness to the core over sin.
On another note: Gal. 3:24 tells us it is upon one examining themselves by the light of the Law (Ten Commandments), is what breaks up the rocky soil of the heart so the Gospel seed can take root. Ray Comfort’s ministry at Living Waters makes this biblical evangelism point very clear.

@@googlereplier8681 Repentance is always on the table for me, brother. Jesus additionally said through His servant, "One Lord, One Faith, and One baptism.... until we ALL COME TO THE UNITY OF THE FAITH AND OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD...". Clearly we have not come to that unity of faith as there are over 47,000 Christian churches today, interpreting the same bible in more than 47,000 different ways. Nor have we all come to "the knowledge of the Son of God." Keep in mind that knowledge "of" the Son of God is different and apart from the "knowledge "about" the Son of God. As one who has received this perfect knowledge "of" the Son of God through salvation and a complete remission of sins, I'll leave you with the below and will pray that you open your heart as that of the faith of a little child to perhaps consider that what you "know," may not be all there is to know: This 28 minute video by Dallas Jenkins given at Brigham Young University (arguably the most popular and recognizable evangelical Christian in the world today) addresses your belief and assertion as to whether Mormons believe in "another Jesus," although as you may already surmise, he does not share your belief or opinion. They would send him overseas to "take care of business". His little brother a member of a SWAT unit in a big city was picked to go to Afghanistan on another "special" assignment. The picture of him with a big assault rifle, pockets full of ammo, and Afgan scarf around his neck were impressive! Gosh he made a lot of money! Of course they take thier wife and kids to Church when they are in town. I'm an old guy now. Glenn, glad you were able get your life back in order. When I started listening to Glenn on the radio many decades ago, I thought from his views that he must be Catholic. Having family members who are Mormon and having deep discussions with them, I realize that Glenn still has, some strong Catholic principles engrained in his being that filter out in his views. God is working within him. So sad that during his struggling times he did not think to talk with a Catholic priest who could have re-introduced him to his roots and helped him with his confession. Helped him to realize that despite his faults and sins that God still loved him. That by asking for forgiveness and vowing to amend his life he could start over. God bless Pat for being there for Glenn who helped him to realize God’s love for him. I do appreciate Glenn’s work and his willingness to talk the truth when he could have backed down to save his career. My prayers for him and his family and his continual conversion to the Lord.

I listened to the testimony until its finish and I have to say Glen Beck has had a life of deep tragedy. I’ve been a Christian over 71 years which means I realized I was a sinner and needed a Savior. By faith alone I accepted Jesus as the one true God’s Son who died on a cross for my sin and rose again 3 days later. I believe and accept the Bible as God’s true word and it is without errors. In John 14:6 Jesus tells us He is the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by Him. Therefore, I have a personal relationship with God,the Father,Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit who now dwells within me since I gave my life to Jesus. Romans 8:11 says But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you! That’s my belief, based on faith but provided by God through Jesus’s sacrificial death and the works of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah what a Savior! Praying for you Glen that all truth will be revealed!

Please don't forget to be humble in the way that you say things. I'm also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. (Commonly known as Mormons). I'm not sure when this video from Glenn Beck actually came out, but I love it nonetheless.
I appreciate your comment. I just thought maybe it's a little boastful. Our lessons recently have been on the pride cycle. It's important not to be prideful. You can have pride, such as you're proud of your children's accomplishments, etc. But let's not be prideful. It's destructive.

I remember growing up in the LDS church and we were taught that if we were asked if we were Christian, we were to say, “No, I’m a Mormon.” (1970s)
I also was a member when millions were spent on the campaign, “I AM a Mormon.” Which still can be found on UA-cam.
For nearly 60 years I was a Mormon, then suddenly I’m not supposed to be. (Nelson didn’t like the word Mormon, even in Kimball’s day, God didn’t give the revelation, Nelson had that vendetta for decades.)
When Glenn gave this talk in this video, the “I AM a Mormon” campaign was in full swing.

    • @joncharlotteschoen
      @joncharlotteschoen 14 днів тому +4

@TexasTornado66 I seriously doubt that Nelson had a vendetta. You're clearly not a member of the church anymore. The church is a living Church of continuing Revelation. We grow and learn as individuals and as a church. We have always been Christians. Whether or not you were told in the '70s to say that you were not a Christian, I cannot say or relate to, as I was in my younger years in the '70s. But I converted to the church in 2010. And although I consider myself a Mormon, also a Latter-Day saint, and most importantly, a Christian, I don't see what you're trying to accomplish with your comment other than being divisive.

@@joncharlotteschoen Nelson spoke at different events for decades about not liking being called “Mormons.”
Even when other prophets were using the term in public campaigns to promote the church.

Pres. Hinkley used the “Mormon” campaign to get the church more publicity. He used the nickname Mormon as a way to spread knowledge of the church and it worked great for that season of time.
President Nelson was inspired to really focus and use the real name
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for this season because we are winding up preparing for the Lord’s return. We will need to put our whole trust in Christ to make it through the coming tribulations.
I think it’s beautiful how the prophets since the beginning of time are inspired by God to focus on certain things about the gospel to build Christ’s kingdom on earth. ❤️☀️

Very inspiring Glen. What a gift
There are several things I would like all of us to note in this talk.
    1. Testimony of prayer and God's intervention in the bar and seeing Tonya. No coincidences
    2. Powerful testimony of the Atonement and power of Jesus Christ to change Glens heart at his Baptism.
3Remarkable spiritual journey and quest for truth turning over every stone and intellectual challenge of eveything.
4 Did you pick up on the bread crumbs comment, Trust that Pat Gray knew he would find same spirit, love , gospel at any congregation because they are all true and church led by Christ.
5 The Ghandi question in sunday school that first week. 95 percent of so called Christians would have said he is going or in hell because he hadn't said the sinners prayer. Heck half of them even believe mother Teresa is going to hell and about all of them believe Bill Maher is going to hell when he is more charitable than most of them.
6 The Ford Chevy analogy is kind of a parable for you anti mormon folks out there. You guys in the Mormons are a cult CULT. Did you happen to hear his testimony of Christ? Are there any honest in heart Mormons are a cult folks. Don't you belong to a faith where most of the new testament and old testament prophets were killed. Are you more like the zPharisees who killed your saviour or like him.
The only thing some of you pseudo Christians agree on is that the only Church that even claims to be true is a cult. When your 48000 different churches are really just a group of Bible study groups teaching what you want.

Wow, very passionate story, he is brilliant, funny, kind, and loving. I was raised Mormon and later in adolescents I had the freedom to choose my own path and realized nobody had the monopoly of truth except God's Word. There are some key questions we have to ask ourselves to arrive where Glen has discovered. It doesn't come with brilliance, emotions or dedication, God draws us to himself in many different ways but ultimately we need to know is it God drawing us or some other swaying of spiritual influence.
Jesus asked "Who do you say that I am"? Luke 9:20.
That question can only be answered if God's drawing you and gives you the grace to believe with faith. 1 Corinthians 12:3 says "Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. God will not give you the wrong answer, if you're truly listening to him and He knows you hear when we confess Jesus is Lord (God) you will be saved. Being good, loving, kind, giving, might bring earthly blessings but it doesn't gain you a seat in heaven. It is only through Christ's (God's) precious body & blood that payed the price so I can inherit eternal life with the Father.

Hi John: Thank you for sharing and I concur 100% with everything you have stated. I want you to know from personal experience, however, that you really didn't need to leave the Church of your fathers to find the Lord. After a crisis wherein I believed I was truly dying, through an all-in faith in Christ and through broken-hearted repentance, I was born again as on the day of Pentecost WITHIN my own LDS faith when I was 48 years old. I now know many others who have found Him on this level as well. Through that "event" that lasted several days and nights, I came to the perfect knowledge of the Father and the Son manifested in POWER by the Holy Ghost. This manifestation was and remains ineffable and unspeakable because of its sacred nature. I even wrote a book about this journey to Spiritual Rebirth. I must admit that although there may be "many," that find the gate within my LDS faith, they are still few in comparison to the masses within the Church. The Lord Himself, speaking of the gate of salvation, has said, "... and few there be that find it." All churches have cultural traditions that have arisen out of the arm of the flesh that are not necessarily grounded in truth which may cause some to become disenfranchised and jump ship. I get why you may have chosen (and did choose) to look elsewhere and I can relate to your journey. I'm sincerely glad you found the Lord though. You are truly blessed. Kind Regards, A brother in Christ. --Steven Anthony Bishop

I guess it’s not the worst thing in the world to call ourselves Mormons, but I believe that Jesus Christ cringes a little when we do - I’m sure He understands our heart. I believe that Mormon, himself also cringes. The Book of Mormon is a testament in its entirety, from the first page to the last, to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. Mormon was a magnificent prophet, and we revere him for his undying faithfulness in the face of unbelievable odds, but he would be the first one to repeat what I’m saying here. I did not enter their church or ANY church after that summer. I lived into my 40s as an agnostic. I still have many dear friends who are Mormon. I am now Christian. We all respect each other. In that spirit, I ask you if you see any Mormon doctrines that conflict with Biblical doctrines. And I ask if you have any questions about Joseph Smith relating to multiple marriages, especially with young girls and women already married...as well as his manner of death in a shoot out, wielding a gun to kill others as opposed to the sacrificial death of Christ. I will respect your answers. No further "debate" will follow. I respect you as a person and am interested in understanding more about your faith. Thank you.

I took that as a sign that God didn't want me there because I was praying for the truth.. I had an epiphany at my college movie theater and God, his son Jesus Christ revealed himself to me. Hi Glenn,
Hi Glenn, thanks for sharing your conversion journey's story. You must know by now that God chastens those that He loves. Sometimes with a stick, it may seem at the time. I want you to know that whether we were born in the church, or not, we all have the same sort of conversations with ourselves, and for a long time we wrestle with those conversations.
No matter how far we fall away from the light, God, our Heavenly Father, in all that that means, does want us back with him. And i am glad that you felt the Oneness with Him and Jesus who made it possible to be like 'Dad'. No matter how much you are tested, remember that feeling. No matter how much you crash and burn, remember that feeling, and get up purify yourself with him, and go out continue speaking the Truth. "That wickedness never is happiness, and although it may please our senses for a time, they are but the delusions of vanity from the 'father of lies.
And like those Covenant People of old, Jesus said he can not save us when we do not recognize our need for Him for us to be saved, much less, strive for perfection in all things in humility and trusting in Him with faith.
I should live up to my own words.
God bless you for sharing your conversion, and worry not about the direction The Prophet of the Church is going. He is trying to be an Originalist in some respects before The Church and its Saints bent the knee and allowed in some polices that were practiced in order to not incur the wrath of the unknowing, until their hearts had become more malleable to The Redeemer.
In some respects we changed to survive persecution. But those policies are being swept away, as they had been from the start.
The Saints will learn more about mission creep with regard to policies, as we understand the Doctrine as they were given.
So hang in their Brother Beck, and ask yourself this, is this the way it was intended at the time of Brother Joseph.
Why was Brother Brigham calling out to Brother Joseph with his last words?
God bless you for remaining faithful and being a Lighthouse in a New Moon when we are so close to The Schilly Isles.
    Gratefully,

Justification is by Grace only. Mormons add works to Grace thereby disgracing Grace. Same with all the ‘religions’ of the world, including Catholicism. They are ‘works righteousness’ religions. However, biblical Christianity justification is a free gift and a miracle only God can do. “Salvation is of the Lord.” - Jonah

Curious. I remember an interview Glenn and his new wife did with Larry King not to long after they married, when he said the main reason he married her was to have sex with her. He noted that she did not believe in premarital relations because of her religion, so he knew he'd have to convert and marry her in order to have sex with her. He wasn't being funny or flippant about it, like it was just a joke. He meant it. But the beauty of this--and many conversion stories--is that, regardless of the reason for putting off the world and coming to Christ, the journey and outcome can be glorious because God always accepts us just where we are. That's because He knows the plan for each of us and Gods-in-embryo potential we all have. So, I love knowing that Glenn and others have and are continuing to have these experiences. God bless them all in. 🙏

One of the reasons Nelson doesn’t want to use Satan’s victory word Mormon is because that when people use that word to know more about the history of the church on the Internet, it takes them to the true background of the church, not the narrative that the church puts out. Using the corporate name of the church on the Net will take them to an official church site. That’s the difference.

    • @Whatiftheresmore1314

      Actually,
President Nelson sees around corners as a prophet of God.
He knows we need Christ to get through the tribulations that are about to come upon the world.
We need to be laser-focused on Jesus Christ! (The true name of the church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.)
      “Mormon” is a nickname.

"A half-truth masquerading as a whole truth becomes a complete untruth.”
      -J.Q.P
There is so much misinformation and falsehoods spread around about the church online.
My husband used to teach all the lies and falsehoods about the church over the pulpit of his evangelical church for years, and believed those lies to his core.
He read the Book of Mormon to prove it wrong to some young soldiers who were LDS. He wanted to save them from their cult.
He had a “Saul” experience and ended up tracking down the missionaries and was baptized a few weeks later.
God has His perfect ways and timetable. Maybe someday you too will be able to learn the truth. ❤️☀️

@drc5378 the "church" is simply born again believers who collectively make up the body of Christ, the " church". No denomination is the "one". The only distinction I was making is Mormon's received their gospel from an angel in the 1800s. The scripture clearly emphatically states " though we or an angel from heaven bring any other gospel ,than that which we have preached, let him be accursed". Pretty clear. Lots of info in the book store under the occult section on cults. Worth an intelligent investigation.
