As a Raps fan, I gotta agree. His game is extremely raw at this stage and he makes tons of errors. He barely deserved, if at all, to make the all-star team this year and he’s 100% only going to play better.
The Raptors simply need to find an all star caliber wing to pair with RJ Barrett and they could compete with anybody.

Scottie a lil low imo, trey Murphy above Franz is kinda crazy and I think Kuminga has been better than RJ this season but his play is steadily getting better in Toronto I can see him being higher next year.
gotta remember that Franz is basically 2nd option on his team whereas Trey is 4th or 5th option and still shows the amount of promise he does. Franz is going to be ELITE tho
Scottie at least a 1B player, he was 4th in triple doubles this season and thats with the roster changing so much, his defense is DPOY level, and his court vision is something that can't be taught

I got no issues with having paolo that high, but i think its weird to have scottie so low when the only thing paolo does better than scottie is score. I mean the kid was an allstar this year avged 20-8-6 while having to play with 3 completely different teams in one season. And defensively hes much better than paolo currently.
I feel like franz at 3a is kinda low. Also did i not hear Suggs not even get in honourable mentions.

Scottie had Pascal and OG for half and 2/3rds of his games. They were bad with about the same talent.
I'm a fan of neither team and I've watched both quite a bit for these two players... you haven't seen "Pablo" if you don't think he's on a higher trajectory than Scottie so far.
@@thekaying orlando outscores their opponents when paolo is on the bench, and he has a top bench in the league to take the load off. hes an inefficient big with mid defense, similar to julius randle few years ago

@@advikreddy9949 he's definitely better than everybody up until Anthony Edwards. He's only 22 and this is probably gonna be the worst all star selection of his career. His defense is so versatile it's not even funny. He's one of the few players that can guard 1-5 and loves to guard the best player on the team. His playmaking for a 6'9 forward is insane, if the raptors had real shooters he'd average 7-8 assists instead of 6. His iso game and three has improved massively and he's gonna get a bunch of all defensive teams in his career

Hot take: Josh Giddey will be an allstar in his career. Obviously this season has been horrendous for Josh with all of the allegations and such, but right before that, in the summer he led team Australia in the Fiba World Cup and looked like one of the best young players in the world. Last season he averaged 17-8-6 on 48% from the field, having a dominant game in the play-in tournament vs the pelicans, 1 rebound away from a 30 point triple double. He isn’t a great shooter but he’s far from the worst in the league, sitting at 33%. All of this said he is only freaking 21 years old and will improve so much in the coming years.
I know he hasn't done enough to be considered on this list because of his role and the team he plays on, but I'm buying a lot of stock in Peyton Watson being one of the 25 best currently u25 players in the long term. He hasn't done enough to "prove" that yet, but I think there is a hype train that is just waiting to take off on that kid. His athleticism and defense are out of control, and he shows a lot of promise as a cutter and scoring at the rim. I also think he can be an above average shooter eventually. He's phenomenal.
Amen is a crazy defender, one of main reasons the rockets are on a 7 game win streak. Feel like that should be thought of considering he's also been incredible rebounder and can has scored well recently.

People talk about Paolo's 3 ball but he's up to 36.8% on the season - just around league average. He also takes the second least open 3's on the Magic just behind Caleb Houstan who has 172 3 attempts out of 184 shots. So if he keeps defenses respecting the 3 and can still hit league average that is more than enough for his archetype. Plus he shot 29% from 3 last year so the improvement is crazy. Should keep improving since his summer workouts are with KD and Mike Miller. Easy 1A player.

JDub and Chet way too low… JDub last 38 games in only 31.4 minutes per game he’s averaging 20.6ppg 4.1reb 4.9ast 1.1stl .7blk 1.8threes 56.1/48.6/77.4 splits and +248 that’s insane efficiency for any player and he’s doing it for a 1 seed for him and Chet to be ranked lower and viewed as a having significantly less potential than Paolo and others is crazy to me Chet’s ceiling very high also last night was a sneak peek. @@evantroymusic well yeah, he’s playing in a largely off ball role surrounded by elite shooters and an MVP candidate while Cade has routinely been overburdened on a team with horrible spacing and very little talent to take the pressure off of him. Its like comparing the situation of Kyrie in Cleveland to the situation of like rookie lebron
