Having that quantity and quality of shop space will be thoroughly transformative for you guys as car builders, because while there is significant expense associated with tooling up a fabrication facility, often space is one of the critical limiting factors to what tools you can acquire. If you guys could snag a CNC plasma and/or waterjet table, a CNC tubing bender and a tubing plasma cutter, and a CNC mill with a 3rd axis, you'd be well on your way to a full-service machining operation where you can legitimately build any and every part for your cars. A large curing furnace and vacuum bagging machine would set you up well to making your own fiberglass or carbon fiber body kits, particularly if you can get yourself a CNC mill, even if you can't get a 3, 4, or 5-axis model, you can always machine multiple foam panels to use in making fiberglass reinforced molds for body kits. Because nothing screams "I've reached a new level of automotive excellence" like having your own bespoke body kits. Imagine 3D-scanning your cars, modeling your own kits, and machining them in reverse into large blocks of foam you've glued up. Line it with fiberglass, then using that as your mold for making your body panels out of carbon fiber. If you get especially skilled and creative, you could even make entire chassis out of carbon fiber by utilizing high-strength panel bond and building composite unibody chassis panels and bonding them together like the exotic car manufacturers do. One of the cool things is that you can basically use the existing factory stamped steel unibody construction as your baseline, since many of the same principles behind getting strength out of thin steel panel construction holds true for composites as well. Bends and other formed structures add strength and flat panels are weak. That facility has so much potential for the future, so it'll be exciting to see how far you guys can take it.

For real. So happy for lz and his crew. Also happy for my UA-cam feed 👏
Lz for president lol
24:52 This huge table could make an AWESOME miniature race car course! tunnels made from Quaker oatmeal containers... fake bushes... train set?
This is every person's dream; to have you're own land/compound where you and your friends can hang out and make your passion and dreams a reality, while not have to worry about interfering with others. Such an inspiration to see how far you've come in the last 5 years, can't wait to see what you have in store for the future. Everyone on the team is already putting their personality into this place and I can sense its gonna be epic! Can't wait to listen to your podcast!
As soon as you came across all those trophies and stuff I was hoping that you would make a little Shrine / Memorial. That's very cool. Different generations of car enthusiasts merging together
“I don’t want to spend a lot of money”
*Matt Moreman has left the chat
😂😂😂😂😂
Damn adam has come far. Y'all remember when he still made bmx videos??
Lol do you remember cody? And when he went to the uk to meet boq? Used to love the webisodes
You remember froth tho
@@terrysawatzky4675 hell yea and hyper coffee sessions
"Also has three houses on site" 😂😂😂😂 just tossed that in there at the end.
Johan, Adam and mike all get a house xD
More like sniper nest 🤣🤣
Man I’m so happy for Adam. I think this place is going to take him and everyone on the LZ team to another level!
First Cleetus got his own racetrack then L Zed got his own town. The flex is back.
Cleetus is inspiring all the content creators
Not to mention Hoonigan getting a massive spot in Compton now. Looks like everybody is moving up!
Year of the flex part 2 mad support though
@@CodyOnCars watch JR go also bought a huge warehouse and is putting in multiple lifts and a night club style sound system , its big, but its not as big as this
@@PsychobabbleRapp Well, the "biggest automotive shop on UA-cam" thing is over now, I guess.
That place is incredible! He has a lot of lofty ideas, but it seems to be setup with a space for everything they could possibly dream of already. I'd save the dough and keep it like that. I don't even think Chip Foose has a compound that big.. 🤯🤯🤯
What’s the bet in another couple years UA-cam will put this back on our recommended and we will watch all of these all over again
*As I keep getting Adam's old BMW videos I watched years ago as recommendations* lol
You could install solar panels on the roof to cut down on electricity cost...
But you will never pay off the solar panels so..............
@@bryanbarr6782 buttttttt you get a tax write off every year so in a way they pay themselves off
@@skatetastic923 Not that much of a write off. We just built a house with a huge roof and wanted solar. Looked into it with several companies and gov incentives and we (and the panels) wont live long enough to see the plus side. The solar company and the power company eat up all of the profits and more.
Here’s the big question everyone is wondering including myself. Will there be skatepark in the warehouse for bmx?
There will be one somewhere on the compound god knows what's gonna get built here hopefully he builds a house here too
@@marcuscooke4033 there are already 3 houses on site
he could bring his park from back yard to the compound
@@ecoli023 I think that makes the most sense. I'm sure it comes apart into separate pieces, although perhaps he'd still need a semi.
Need a handball and basketball court as well.
That main shop setup should be left as is, outfit the “showroom” with the bend pack stuff but keep it mostly still as a showroom, it’s nice to keep the noisy stuff away from the offices
I agree
This makes hoonigan's new HQ look like a joke. This is nuts, congrats to Adam and the team!
Send one of the boys to car painting school or hire someone, that would be a total waste not to turn that part into a revenue stream.
hire bhall!?
Imagine the damage that could be done if jimmy moved his operation down with adam. Highly unlikely but they’d certainly be set for life
Holy cow that would be amazing!!!
@@pikablue1834 mixing friendships and "egos" with business is not a good thing. They're perfectly cool doing each own their thing!

Yaaaaas
And a % of sales goes to a fund for college for Johan's child.
Well this is badass!!!!!
didnt expect to see bigboy in the comments
Holy shit be weird is in here! Love your channel obb the weird crew will have something like this one day!
looking forward to weirdo world!
Big boy needs a tocoma drift truck👀👀
lets get bigboy drifting again
Looks incredible!! Congrats!!! I'm so happy for you! Please show us the houses soon omg! 😁😁😍
we need a compound channel to showcase side projects/ bts and things that dont make the vids on the main channel so excited for whats to come
“I’m really stoked with the amount of mops that came with this place” - Adam
Gets a paint booth, lifts etc etc 🤣 "stoked about the mops" 😂😂
Literally becoming his own hoonigan. You know for a fact he's going to end up making the new place look sick!
hope we get some employe builds to.
This guy is really living the dream. Can't lie, I'm pretty jealous.
Congratulations man, it's been an absolute blast watching you grow from BMX videos, building the original cream S13, to buying your own massive compound to store your collection of iconic cars. Proud of you dude.
Should just have someone drive the concrete with a street sweeper.
get a zamboni would be cooler lol
Im amazed the previous owners family didn't want those trophies. Kind of sad to think about all the blood, sweat, and tears (and $$$$) that probably went into earning those.
The kids were never around much took awhile to liquidate is collection they live up north.
Well, they can probably still be decorations now. :)
Atleast the crew will appreciate them, sad to see the legacy of an old car enthusiast just fading away
What the history on the previous owner?
I'm really glad you're keeping the old trophy and dedicating a corner to the old owner.
Don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to follow the journey of something on youtube. This is beyond sick. Endless amount of potential and there will be content for years on these buildings.
SHOW USS EVERYTHING , ILL STILL WATCH IT EVEN IF ITS AN HOUR LONG
Crazy watching this guy go from doing BMX to buying compounds and lowkey I’m just waiting for him to explore and turn into the next Travis Pastrana
Flooring Replacement suggestion: LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) .. cheap durable option and a huge variety of color/design (look) options. Easy install, has taken over as the standard flooring in modern buildings.
This isn't even my place and I'm overwhelmed. Holy smokes it's huge!
From one mans automotive dream to another.
The potential is unreal
Man even though the building is a little rough, this is a diamond in the rough. All that useful equipment that was left behind? My god. He virtually doesnt have to outsource for anything.
Must have been an INCREDIBLE facility when fully equipped
Google S40 Collection, you'll see a lil bit :)
Totally blown away by this, you could literally do anything!! Im so ready for 2021s content and you turning this place into a fantasy factory.
The privious owner had to be a florida man version of Jay leno.
With such a high electric bill and so much roof space: would solar panales make sense?
Solar is a massive upfront cost, i bet if he emailed a few companies he could be sponsored and get them pretty cheap
@@cyriously_nick2191 not sure how much pure sunlight florida gets too with all the storms that pass over the place every half hour
Theres solar cells that charge really well with full cloud cover theres a plenty of optionsfrom solar to wind turbines. Im sure some of the homies can diy a most of it too. But thats def a good idea to save that cheddar. It pais for itself its a win win win situation 💸💸💸
The solar here in Florida is a lot of scams ask me how I know. They don’t put enough panels to account for stuff like a pool and ac running 24/7 365
@@caperformance_motorsports i can imagine just the consumption in the summer in az is insane. You gotta save money through the winter just to pay for the spike in electric when most nights hardly dip under 100’f. I personally havent been to FL. I know through the bmx community itself though the connections with people thst are into so many different trades i would hope someone gots the hookup in that area. If i lived closer id be right there tryin to help anyway i can. U know, its all about who you know! I can image the fakes when they see $$$ signs though. Sadly
That would be legit really cool to honour the original owner the way your thinking about it would be awesome to see
This video shows how much about individual fab you have to learn! I am so stoked to see the progression
He needs a second channel called The LZ Compound for all the projects and extras’s he does
This is a great idea. Could be run by Mike with the extra b roll and stuff
@@wholewheat1 +1 for this idea
yea he could use it as a crew channel too because when everything opens back up and he starts traveling again it would be great to still get videos from the compound
@@wholewheat1 yeah and he can drag the videos out for extra revenue by making half of the video consist of slow motion welding.
Just have to Search Shearer Executive Compound for a tour and you can google S40 collection Florida to see the previous collection that was on site, nothing short of amazing, congrats to LZ and the team this place is gonna be awesome!
I have a feeling we’re gonna see a lot more burnout videos introducing more people to the LZ team shortly
Imagine losing a 10mm socket in this place, that is gone for the rest of your life never to be seen again
but that happens anyway
having respect for the person who put heir life into something such as thing is really nice.
he deserves it. im really happy to hear about you saying "keeping his legacy alive"
The room he pushed the camera away from, they are definitely building an indoor skatepark. His bmx bike was parked right near it
They should move the ramp from his house honestly
He wasted his money already once building one that he doesn't use so there's absolutely no way he's building another one
@@clutchkickpj693 The ramp is literally in his backyard how do you know he doesn’t use it just because it’s not on video
Indoor kart track my guy 👌
Naaa krazy kart track
I can't believe you got this place for only 2 million....that's insane
Especially since it was up for 4-5 million in 2018/19. Total steal at 2.
cleetus paid half that for more land (i think) and a god damn racetrack
@@FUCK_________googIe True, but it was an arguably derelict racetrack that would likely require millions in renovation so there was a ton of risk that drove the price down. There's also just not a lot of buyers for an old racetrack outside of developers that would have to spend a ton of money to destroy it and then struggle to sell houses next to a drag strip. Cleetus is basically the only one that could turn a profit with that land. Adam bought a highly desirable and completely functional compound and got it for cheap out of pure luck. The land alone is worth nearly two million in Florida so if you throw in everything else that it came with it's just crazy.
Where is it roughly? I would like to look at it on google maps!
@@DtotheAtotheNtotheI Its east of Orlando
110% put a full window upstairs and have it as the lounge area. SO sick! The office with the wood ceiling is mint af too definitely would be taking that office 💯💯💯 This compound is insanely epic.
“The real jdm space” tommy is too busy with his weed pencil
Shoot even if you uploaded a 7 hour video I would still watch it all in one sitting. You are my favorite UA-camr, anytime I’m not working and you upload it takes too priority. Love you man and keep the amazing content up.
Helpful tip as I’ve worked for an implement store, don’t park and shut off a tractor with the bucket elevated it’s bad on the hydraulic system which can cause damage to more than just the bucket system
crazy how i watched u in college making a pb&j pizza and the bmw riding bmx and now youre a pro drifter and have a savage compound, u deserve it all man and goes to show good work pays off. keep it up man excited to see whats next
This is actually quite overwhelming. The level this man is on is out of this world.
