The self healing fabric lets stuff go through it. And letting that isn’t very bullet proof.
@@grazyguy340 No, the bulletproof part comes from the armor behind the fabric. Which is why in the video the bullet penetrated the outer fabric but didn't penetrate through the back because the armor inside stopped it.

I'm curious to see how this looks on an actual person.
it will feel like getting punched really hard in the gut. the bullet may be light but the impact that drives it forward certainly isnt, its obviously way more than a punch in the gut. so even if the suit can protect you from penetration, it can't protect you from the impact force of the bullet, unless kinetic absorption like Black Panther exists.

No. The impact of those calibers are very not capable of killing you trough force
@@Kevin_drinks_Lead if it hits your lungs, liver or heart zone it could damage them badly. Internal bleeding can be lethal. It surely depends A LOT of the caliber and distance.

Question would be how much impact are you suffering on the body. Even though it does not go through the jacket the impact would bruise/break bones/rupture internal organs like what is the extent of damage to the body. Don't get me wrong a trip to the hospital due to broken bones is way better then death and it looks amazing so you can wear it to the office for sure!
Looking at when the bullet actually impacts, it looks like it would most likely break a rib if it was in the right spot. You would be winded for sure as well. Nonetheless this suit is awesome
My neighbour is a police officer and he got shot in the chest once. He was wearing his bulletproof vest which is way thicker than this and he told me it still broke 3 of his ribs and the spot where he got hit was dark blue, almost black for about 10 weeks. The first 4 to 6 weeks it was so painfull he could barely move his arms. He told me he was in agony every time he tried to lift his arm or move his shoulder. So yeah, these bulletproof suits will probably save your life...but man it will still hurt like hell. The thickness of these suits doesn't even compare to the vests the police wear. The muscle pain and damaged tissue underneeth his skin hurt way more than his broken ribs is what he told us.

@@noidontwantit That is not true. The flaks are type 2 compliant, and it's main mission is to protect from frags, but normally you're wearing plates in country and they will protect up to a 7.62 round.

What about protecting the legs and is there any way to protect the head?
If they can make a suit like that I'd also get a wind breaker/ rain shell with armor even in the hoodie. Can wear it anywhere casual.

Any way to make the suit thinner? It seems so thick! Also, please show the flexibility! How mobile can we be and how casual can you wear it?
For Level IIIA protection, we have to use 1/4" thick armor. This armor will stop everything up to a 44 Magnum. In regards to flexibility, I have been wearing an armored suit every Sunday to church for the past year. No one has ever mentioned that they noticed anything different. The only time I had anyone comment was when I wore the suit to the airport and I had to take the jacket off to go through security. The TSA Agent asked me why my jacket wasn't laying flat like other suit jackets. I told her that my suit had body armor in it. She said "That's cool!" and pushed my jacket into the scanner.

sleeves would be tricky, but definitely possible. i hope you guys look into the sleeves aswell.
not sure at all about the lags; also i suggest going for a double breasted design when it comes to the suit jacket, since that's 2 layers that overlap by a lot, and close up more of the upper chest.
