Been a fan of the channel for years and I think the best thing about you over all other United content creators is the complete lack of bullshit. You mostly know what you're talking about, but you admit when you have no clue. It's very refreshing. Lad
I'm 69 and if United don't win another trophy I've seen George Best play even met him I saw all the glory days to reflect on I played from the age of 13 to 37 until I broke my leg in 3 places compound fracture that was my career over I hope I live to see United win the league again I'll die a happy man I played for the county at 15 at Exeter City's ground and scored a goal too, more than Rooney or Ronaldo could my claim to fame 😂
Mate, I'm turning 40 in February. Joined the US Army at 26 (Artillery, 13B). Got blown up in Afghanistan in 2011 and had to medboard out before my first contract was up. I was lucky that I qualified for a vocational rehab program and was able to get out, get my degree (Geology) and found a job with the Forest Service in Wyoming, doing Oil and Gas administration and enforcement. I look back on my time in Afghanistan and even though I was only there for 6 mos, it was the one time I really felt like I was doing something legitimate. Life was so simple. Wake up, brief, go on patrol, come home safe, service the vehicles, do it again the next day. So few worries other than coming home safe, making sure your buddies came home too. That was the hardest thing for me to adjust to when I got out. And the lack of my buddies. Every day is working on making progress.
Keep it up brother 👏🏽 the hardest thing to do is waking up in the morning and giving life another go - but there’s beautify in that that’s so simple most of us fail to see Keep smashing it

Happy belated birthday, Ste! Congrats, bro! I just turned 47 today. Not that I give a shit about my b-day. Stopped celebrating after my 9th b-day. Just got tired of it. I'm glad to hear that United actually got a CEO that has football experience. I hope Sir Jim & Co can get Paul Mitchell in the door. Why do you post the green and yellow colours, and then say you're glad that United's new CEO is the CEO of Manchester City? Am I the only person on here who knows anything about this club's arch rivals or...
My twenties were pretty rough, but my thirties have been mint so far (37 at the moment). If anyone is having a rough time it doesn’t mean that it’s just going to get worse!
You are kind of wrong about the share price..after 18 months it's not that if SJR don't pay $34 he will be forced to sell share back to Glazers! It's other way round. Glazers can't force them to sell share back to them at all. The clause is that after 18 months if a 3rd party bids to buy shares from Glazers, and SJR has option to match the offer and buy those share. But in the scenario where they don't excercise the option, they will be forced to sell to the 3rd party and not the Glazers. Either way Glazers won't have control of football operations again!
I am 53 and I cannot think that I am ageing because I cannot afford to get weak. I have now realised that I cannot be healthy without exercising, Hence, I drag myself out of the house every day to enjoy being out....exercising!
I’m a handful of months older than Ste, and I thought I was suffering from arrested development in my 30’s so I asked all the older folks I know how they felt. The answers pleasantly surprised me. Every single person said your body starts showing signs of aging but in your head you’re still in your 20’s. It helped me understand myself and other people better. The only changes mentally that I can decipher is; you still have daft notions but you hope the extra years help you make better decisions, with every year added you’re self preservation increases and you lose a percentage of fearlessness (as a result) and you become less and less concerned about what other people think of you (I think that’s important for young people to understand, don’t worry so much about others opinions). Life becomes routines so the only way to slow the perception of time passing is to break up the routine with new memorable experiences as often as possible.

As far as Ten Hag is concerned, there have been a couple of announcements that have looked fairly positive. However, when changes like this happen off the field, if rarely bodes well for the existing manager/coach.
On notice periods... If you hand in your notice, most companies will conduct an "Exit Interview" if you are invited to an exit interview, they will ask why you are leaving, and where you are going. I have never seen a situation where that hasn't resulted in almost immediate garden leave being given for the duration of the notice period.

Hey Ste, I think you're confused about the Ratcliff buying clause. From my understanding, the clause is that Ratcliff has to sell his shares for this fixed price IF the glazers decide on a full sale in the next 18 months. But this is only contingent on IF the glazers decide to sell. They will have no obligation to sell at all, and knowing them they won't sell shit. Please point me to the other articles on this if im wrong.
Your bit about selling shares back is incorrect. It's if they want to sell the rest of theirs, SJR has 1st refusal, if he doesn't match, then he has to sell his shares to new owner. Called the drag along clause

Appointing football operations director from mancity is a big achievement for man United , that say everything about the position of Manchester City ❤️❤️❤️
Increasing the capacity, either at OT or a new stadium, would be a guaranteed way of increasing the match day revenue and the share price within a shorter space of time than it would take to produce a squad and coaching set up capable of winning multiple titles. I'm 100% speculating wildly here, but I wonder whether Sir Jim and INEOS will do what Richard Branson has done with the 'Virgin' brand and take the Manchester United name into other commercial areas rather than just sign sponsorship deals with external business partners? INEOS has a large portfolio of companies already under it's umbrella, this could be another way of extending the global reach of the club through associative branding, diversifying and make it possible to enter new markets all over the world. Manchester United Insurance, Manchester United Building Society etc... As I said, completely speculative, but personally I'd prefer the club to promote it's own values through it's own commercial activities rather than sell it's soul to every Tom, Dick and Abdullah that comes along as is currently the case...maybe that's pie in the sky thinking.
Your understanding of the share price isn’t correct at all. The SEC filing says the Glazers can force Ratcliffe to sell if they choose to go with another party after 18mths. But if they do then Ratcliffe has to be paid at least the price outlined in the filing (so he won’t lose money whatever). If anything if the club was worth loads more in 18mths then it wouldn’t help Ratcliffe as it may attract bidders beyond the minimum he needs to be paid. If the value of the club was well below the minimum he needs to be paid then that makes it less likely someone will come in and pay that minimum fee he would get per share.
There is no guaranteed path for Ratcliffe to buy the majority ownership. Certainly not for a fee set today in the filing. If United doubled in value then it would simply cost him more money to buy Utd IF the Glazers chose to sell.
Ratcliffe 71,, I like the efficiency he's shown in getting the CEO he wants without us knowing,, also acknowledging the fans too shows positive signs for me Steve. If he gets top notch people in place then I'm not particularly bothered if he only uses January transfer window to off load, then in the summer try and do some good business both inns and outs
Great comment mate & fully agree. I'd be of the same opinion. Unless there are players that Ineos are 100% convinced about signing, then we should wait until summer. The last thing we need is our current recruitment team making any signings
Appreciate the Paddock crew owning no prior knowledge unlike the tools on some of these fan forums who claimed to have been "talking about him for months"
I like you steve..even though youve blocked me on x (twitter. ..) regarding the luke shaw stuff.. I'll not bring it up, amd how i was right.. anyhow.. you've been a big inspiration to myself and how ypu view united and life if general. It could be argued you've changed how i view stuff. And youre layed back view resonates with myself. So thanks for that.
Perception of time is odd. 0-18 felt like it lasted about 5 decades. 18 to 33 felt like about 4 years. 33-36 has been about 15 seconds. I feel like my Son has been alive for 15 seconds and he is nearly 3.5 years old. I lived in Greater Manchester from 0-13 and Edinburgh and lothians from 13 to 36 but I feel like I lived in Manchester for 9billion times as long. The 90s felt like anytime from when I was born until 2006. 2006 til now is recent and feel like it has been 4 years and 15 seconds. Yet within that 4years and 15 seconds I feel like I went to Uni for 7 decades, drank too much for about 5 decades, spent about 11 billion millenniums at work, had about half an hour for hobbies and socialising and got about 24 hours worth of sleep. In 3 minutes I'm gonna be 80 and I still won't have finished decorating my house.
Don’t worry about getting old brother. Ex RAF engineer 22 yrs working on aircraft like the Canberra and Typhoon. Been United fan since 1974. Lost friends in the mob. Getting old is a privilege. Eat it up like an MCSU curry!
Ratcliffe has to reach the share price or he forfeits his shares immediately. Another investor can also come in and offer to buy out his shares and still take over the club removing the Glazers if they pay £8b or close to the glazers asking price
Sir Jim is a brilliant mind when it comes to business, and he knows what people to bring in to make a successful product. I believe once he can buy the full club we will see the magic truly happen.
@@kevingood4644 Of Course they will. If there hadn't been an issue with fiduciary responsibility to the NYSE share holders they would have sold their stake to him already. It has to be done incrementally to avoid it costing FAR more than the club is worth, due to greedy chancers trading the A Class shares.
Reminds me of when Tevez sold out and went to Citeh. Just abit more great. I reckon he’s jumped a sinking ship. As in the FFP charges. Smells of it. This is big!
I feel quite fortunate that I was born in November 1974. Yes I’m 49 now so technically old as dirt, everything aches these days, and months pass by ridiculously fast too, but I will always be a week older than Scholes and a few months older than Beckham, Neville and Butt. So whenever I want to feel young again, I just watch our old matches. Btw remember school and thinking at the time it was sh*t? Looking back now - getting to sit with your best mates for 6 or 7 hours a day learning nothing useful, fancying someone new every other week, playing footy for 30 mins after a fine lunch of chips and gravy. Those were the best f*king years of my life. Actually I’m so old, I also had a bottle of milk every morning in primary school until Thatcher took that away, and as a result hate everything Tory. Best thing I learned in school. So any school kids reading this - remember these days well - it’ll only get worse 😂
I think now this CEO is in we could see the other appointments fairly quickly, I love how this fella came out of the blue (literally). I think provided the team improves second half the season, Ten Hag could be given a clean slate from next season. I understand people reservation’s about him but keeping a guy who’s started a build with now the right team above him could be a smart move, they’ll see the Incompetence that he’s had above him. Also if City were to be relegated, and not sure it’ll ever happen. But could city keep their players if relegated? Surely their wages would mean they breach FFP in the championship.
City get knocked down a couple of leagues, Pep leaves, most of the squad leaves, they rebuild, money will see them easily rebuild and dick on the lower leagues, but it might take 3-4 years to get back to the Premiership, which gives United 3-4 years with SJR and co to sort the club out and have us in a position to really compete for the league. City come back in as a challenger, but stripped of the foundation that Pep has spent years building, takes them another few years to be in a position where they can challenge again, which gives everyone else a bit of time to catch up and make it a competitive league again. Dream scenario.
Ste, I'm the same. Feel like i'm 18 and bullet proof when around Military / Service folk, like I'm back being a thrusting young buck. Went Reserves as a 39yr old ( wanting to get out to the sand pit, and do my bit ), 17yrs after getting out the regs. Running round with 18yr olds ffs, and being better than them by miles! When you mentioned going 4/10 Para or whatever they are nowadays, I thought you defo don't have the time pal 😳 Think i sent you a drunken Linkedin message. Yeah it's 'part time', but it still takes over at certain times of the year. You'll be good for morale mind ;@))
My dad was in the para's...when they were formed. Trained at Ringway. Spent his 21st birthday fighting at Monte Cassino...32 jumps he did with a machine gun in his hand,,,,.fuck the wimps....
I’m 23 years old and grew up under not great circumstances. Been working since I was 14 and have pretty much lost all the mates I grew up with to drugs are suicide and it’s not that I’m struggling with it but I feel like I never had a youth. Outside of boxing and playing football it was school and work. But a. Same thing as hard training you wake up and train so hard you puke and then run another 5k. It suck’s but it’s peace I’m sure it’s the same as the peace you’re talking about. And b- fuck I hope 20s get better and the last three years haven’t been the best I get
I wonder if Omar's experience in building a group structure of clubs is relevant with Ratcliffe's ownership of Nice in mind... Could we see a United Football Group?
The guy Brian that commented about rare cancer in shin and knee is part of one lf the best queen tribute acts! They are based in ireland i think. The man looks slinds and acts like Freddie Mercury. They are called Qween!
Its a great start by INEOS, leaders and successful people appoint the best people to work for you. It's a coup for sure, hopefully it's the last time we hear about him and he just gets on with it. Thats someone I've admired, with envy, about City is that you barely know the people upstairs's names.
I heard about him some years ago, when they mentioned him in an article that was centered more ono Tixi Begiristain, and I even forgot his name, I just remembered that there was another guy, aside from Tixi whom City poached from Barcelona. That is it, aside from that I know jackshit nothing about him.
To get Man City relegated multiple divisions. The EFL would have to be in agreement. If the EFL are not in agreement, the EPL should have a ban period where they can't be promoted into the EPL. Even if they win the Championship.
This is a good first step, but will mean nothing if more do not follow in short time. Glad to see football ppl being selected but more needs to be done to remove the rot from our club. I have one suggestion to everyone. Be very patient and wait for the summer fo 2025. Ppl like Berrada will not have an immediate impact. If by 2025 we have sold the bulk of our deadwood, and some trash like Fernandes, then we can start dreaming of actually coming back.
I wouldn't be fearing the Glazers buying Ratcliffe's shares. The pricks are making a killing at the price they sold them, not a notion they will purchase his at that price.
Every year you get older, it goes fast. I'm 52 and still in my head. I'm in my 20s. The first time i went Wembley 83, replay against Brighton

@@dannymahon6929 Yeh thats true Danny, any future signings need to be made by the new resiegm
What a show this was, didn't expect this when you started 😅
The Pep thing crossed my mind too. If Utd sign Julia Roberts as part of recruitment then we’re on! 😂
He never unblocks people just create a new account.
I would imagine that this is more of a jean claude blanc decision as he would have been one of his peers.
The board will come up with the strategy. Omar will implement it
There was quite a bit of speculation about Yorke before his transfer to United.
Oh my days that 20 years since the millwall final comment has put me in a right panic!? Remember that like it was yesterday
Only time will tell how good he will be, nevertheless a good appointment and glad to see no endless rumours and news, direct news on appointment
I'm 36 and have the mentality maturity of a 17 year old. When I was a kid, I used to think that a man in his 30s had his shit together and was mature.
Mitchel is a United fan i believe. He’s from stalybridge. So he could be very well waiting for us
Also we’ve got Jim lad. Utd born and bread! That’s right
That hat...Lord of the rings....leave the ringing alone mate..
Sir Jim is a brilliant mind when it comes to business, and he knows what people to bring in to make a successful product. I believe once he can buy the full club we will see the magic truly happen.
He won’t buy a controlling stake in MUFC. Glazers won’t allow it.
Thankfully it was only taken away for over 7s so we 3 good years of free milk and a Kip mid morning.
I’m 71 and lost my left leg last year and seen guys with one leg playing football. For a minute I thought l could play that 😅
how did you lose you leg?
@@RAHMAN-qb5ed Bad blood circulation
City get knocked down a couple of leagues, Pep leaves, most of the squad leaves, they rebuild, money will see them easily rebuild and dick on the lower leagues, but it might take 3-4 years to get back to the Premiership, which gives United 3-4 years with SJR and co to sort the club out and have us in a position to really compete for the league. City come back in as a challenger, but stripped of the foundation that Pep has spent years building, takes them another few years to be in a position where they can challenge again, which gives everyone else a bit of time to catch up and make it a competitive league again.
Dream scenario.
Blanc is staying in his role as head of ineos sports plus his board position from what I’ve read..
Let's be honest. A board position isn't exactly full time work.

He has to pay "at least" $33 per share, so it can be more than $33, and if someone else offers more Ratcliffe gets priority to match the offer.
Imagine if he ended up as the center of those 115 charges and it was city that let him go to cleaned their hands.
FFP charges go against the club, not personnel, so City wouldn’t be rid of anything.
@@Allegro_Giustodude some people can't engage their minds oooo
It makes more sense to buy shares when they are cheap, your logic of Ratcliffe buying more shares at a higher value does not make sense.

I’m 23 years old and grew up under not great circumstances. Been working since I was 14 and have pretty much lost all the mates I grew up with to drugs are suicide and it’s not that I’m struggling with it but I feel like I never had a youth.
Thought i was old st 50. Now im 68 would love to be 50

The guy Brian that commented about rare cancer in shin and knee is part of one lf the best queen tribute acts! They are based in ireland i think. The man looks slinds and acts like Freddie Mercury. They are called Qween!
The new CEO had no idea because he and the city group are 100% innocent
One of the best jobs I ever had was one year working in Iraq 2004 to 2005 what a great time I had it was mash all over again that’s what I was doing
Its a great start by INEOS, leaders and successful people appoint the best people to work for you. It's a coup for sure, hopefully it's the last time we hear about him and he just gets on with it. Thats someone I've admired, with envy, about City is that you barely know the people upstairs's names.
69 still 20 in my head!
Howson abeg start a trend on "Altay Bayindir deserves his debut and Onana has to be dropped"
So you don't remember Andy Cole then Ste...literally it appeared on teletext and everyone went WTF!
I hope INEOS did their due diligence coz hes been at Barca and Man City, two clubs rumoured to do some financially shady stuff
Completely clean hands ? ..... Bollocks 😂 he knows what hes been involved with and its gonna be interesting

Wait he having a role in the army. Does that mean no more vids from him in the near future?
What would be the whole team pos made out of defenders legends ste
I heard about him some years ago, when they mentioned him in an article that was centered more ono Tixi Begiristain, and I even forgot his name, I just remembered that there was another guy, aside from Tixi whom City poached from Barcelona. That is it, aside from that I know jackshit nothing about him.
I honestly was just waiting to hear wat you had to say I didn’t wanna hear anyone else tell me about this new ceo but Steve
Ahaha that City fan got absolutely cooked!!!

A CEO gets voted in and out by the rest of the board. The role Blanc has now is a more secure role and he has more influence at board level.
I’m 35 and I’m ready to retire in a countryside cottage.
City ain’t getting relegated… stop this. Even if they did, they’d be back the next year and STILL probably win the league before us!
