i used to have a midi file of this exact ringtone. I remember seeing two channels being used for that violin/fiddle sound. One has the pitch bend cc in default and one is tuned half a semitone down. The composers used the second detuned channel to fill in the microtones.
Bruh I am amazed they are spot on with the microtonality, too. I'm no expert in Arabic music, but it sounds like maqam Rast, with the microtonal 3rd and 7th degrees.

No but the fact that old nokia phones had microtonality support is wild, most old midi-based playback devices could only play western scales.
