This is how I spent my childhood walking up rivers like this in donegal learning how to fish the fly it's hard to describe the feeling to anyone. Even after years on the big loughs during the mayfly small rivers like this are much more exciting, maybe its the getting there rather than the fishing. Yet again thanks for posting 🐟
Thank you for watching our little episode, Thomas. It is surely great fun and very exciting fishing these little mountain streams, and often enough they can bring a big surprise, we had fish of over a pound in some of them. All the best and tight lines.
Ah so there are rivers in Donegal I was beginning to think there was only lakes....I'd love to see more river fishing content, Love the vids keep up the good work.
Most rivers in Donegal used to hold good stocks of salmon and sea trout, but with these in big decline a lot of the rivers are closed or catch and release, so, there is not as much river fishing anymore as we would like. Thank you for watching and tight lines.
Thank you, Rossa. I'm sure you know all of the lakes, if not we have to go there when you are home next time. All the best and greetings from Donegal, Dietrich.
the strange thing i find about these lakes is one day you'll catch nothing but tiddlers and then another day you'll get good trout, especially i found on a east wind when the fishing is slow, i find i caught the bigger trout on an east wind , maybe that's just me.
It is strange enough and somehow impossible to really understand what's going on up there, fishing wise. When being up there 20 odd years ago with Ray Robinson we had definitely considerably bigger fish, I looked at the old Photographs, so maybe when we go up there next year we'll catch slightly bigger trout again. All the best and thank you for watching, Darren.

Nothing more pleasing than being kept busy whilst fly fishing no matter what size the fish are superb.👍🍺🍺
That's right, Robert. Thank you.
Real eire looks great and wild
Thank you, Martin. There are still a few of those places left, with all the windmills and forests.

We surely had a great day again, Wislon. Thank you for watching our little movie.
Very interesting. I didn’t expect many to know about those lakes. I will be fishing them in the summer
They are definitely worth a visit, Dara. Take care and tight lines.
Another superb film, tenkara is such fun as well.
Thank you for watching, Sir. That little river really lends itself for that sort of thing, no doubt.
That looked like a lot of fun 🎣
Thank you for watching, Sir. We definitely had a great day.
The tiny lake is near my mobile home I was very surprised the first time I saw trout jumping in it I always thought of it as a large pond 😊
It is an amazing little lough alright, but the fish are very moody and not easily caught.
Lovely lakes, going to drive myself crazy figuring out where you were.
Thank you, Rossa. I'm sure you know all of the lakes, if not we have to go there when you are home next time. All the best and greetings from Donegal, Dietrich.
