I was hesitant to purchase an open box carseat but it came in excellent condition and saved $35. Box was damaged as stated before I purchased it, but the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxIxQe7nPH74g_xtI5NgiE9-zpGNkfgovw car seat looks brand new and I don't think it was ever used. I will update of course if I have any issues with this carseat but I don't think I will. Also it is surprisingly lightweight, the handle feels secure unlike my previous EvenFlo that was gifted to us. Love it !
What they failed to mention here is that your seat belt mechanism has to be ALR-capable (automatic locking retractor) because this will not lock into place if your seat belt only has ELR mode (emergency locking retractor). If your seat belt isn't ALR-capable, you will need to use a locking clip. The built-in locking clip shown on 1:11 does not actually "lock" securely and if you move the seat side to side to test it, the seat belt webbing will come loose eventually. Relying on this built-in locking device is not advisable. The Tilt actually comes with a locking clip, so I'm wondering why the Steadi didn't.
