I'm 68 and preparing for Confirmation -it's never too late, right? THANK YOU, Father Mike, for your joyful enthusiasm and for taking the time to walk with us through the Catechism!
I was confirmed in April 2023 at age 67 after following the Catholic Mass on a UA-cam channel for two years. I loved the video Mass but was not inspired to stand/sit/sing/share the message of peace, love, or take communion until I attended a live Mass. I hope you went through with it...Peace be with you.
@@peli_candude554 I did go through with it! My two elder sons stood at my side, and since then I've become a member of a lovely parish community that has given me even more opportunities to learn about and practice our beautiful faith. Keep enjoying the live Mass and the precious treasure of the Eucharist! God bless you!
@@dianefrank3688 Thank you! All is well and loving every minute as I learn the deeper meaning of following God. Father Mike, You are in my daily prayers forever. I used to try to list everyone I wanted to pray for every day, but the list got too long so I now put a name on the list and leave it to God to remember those on my list. God bless you Father Mike for this Year of Catechism.
Literal tears welling in my eyes…and I am sitting in a crowded airport listening to this…God did not have to make me, but He did because He loves me. I struggle with love…❤❤❤
Not only does God loves us, he loves us as we are! Down to our last cell, he loves us in such perfection , in such a complete and full way that we will never experience here on earth with anyone or thing ❤

Here is where happiness and truth is found. Mankind is born out if God's love. The search for God by mankind makes us religious beings. 5. Man comes to realize of a first cause and the end of everything, a reality that everyone calls 'God'. 7. The truthfully discerning man will find that faith and reason comes together as God reveals Himself to him. 8. We need to be serious in our desire for God. No half-heartedness. You are not the only one. And what about "Oh my gosh!"? 😉
I think that being from Minnesota Fr Mike has certain idioms that he uses. He also is full of energy.
Thank you so much Father Mike with your help through the Grace of God.I understand the Catechism so much better. I look forward to tomorrow for day 83.God bless you and all people of the world.💖🙏🏻
Gosh, did Fr. Mike nail it when he noted most of us believe "God tolerates me." ESP?!
I sobbed so hard today. I’ve been following along since the introduction dropped (2022), printed out the reading plan, and started preparing by reading the assigned text the night before. Paragraphs 29 and 30 broke me. Especially hearing them in your discussion, Fr. Mike. Working on turning a heart of stone into a heart of flesh this year. I have the listeners, Fr. Mike, and those teachers who worked on this project in my prayers.
I was not ready for this day to end! I wanted the discussion to go on. This going to be a great year. Praying for you Father Mike!

Oh my Gosh. Thank you so much. “We can only find our identity in God ! Man oh Man that’s huge to me! I’m not dumb I’m not stupid I’m not a failure etc etc etc. Man oh Man thank you so much. More shackles fell off when I heard that and my spirit received that! Thank you Oh Holy God for encouraging Fr. Mike to do this! Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The word "evil" is the absence of God... that word turned around is LIVE :-)
Amazing episode. Faith is our response to him and through our response he reveals himself to us.
“What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him?”
Romans 8:31-32
