- A quick video from a recent hog hunting adventure where I was able to harvest my first hog with a longbow.
Bow - Archery Traditions Bamboo Longhunter, 68"
Arrows - Easton Camo Hunter XX75 2219 w/ 6" Victory 245 inside and 100gr brass inserts
Broadhead - G5 Montec M3 100gr
Looks like my property here in South FL. I have hogs turkey and deer everywhere haha. Watching these videos make me want to set up a stand again. Or spot & stalk either way. Nice video too.
Thank you! Man a property in South FL with turkeys and deer is the dream!!!! You should take advantage of that and put some fresh meat in the freezer!!
I used to all the time still I had major surgery on my chest for some issues I had. Afterwards I couldn't draw a bow back at all for some time. I'm good now and am slowly getting back into it. I should start making videos myself too.
Well i hope you get after it this season! I really enjoy filming and bowhunting, its like getting to go on the hunt several times, because I get to re-live it when editing and watching the video.
Would you charge someone to hunt bows on your property? :)
Good hunt and delicious meal - well done friend! 👍
Thank you 👍
Though these weren't large hogs, a complete pass through with a long bow is impressive
Sharp broadheads!
Great video!!
Your shooting about 65 lbs southpaw (left hand) longbow. Looks like Apollo arrows.
I'm shooting 60 lb right hand recurve with Victory Carbon Trad arrows (second heaviest arrows made). I been practicing for many years now. The neighbors are probably sick of it.
The REAL difference is - you know the right people on private land. I been hunting public land around Tampa area. I haven't had a chance to shoot squat.
I'm not knocking you. It's nice to see that SOMEBODY is having success in Florida. For the rest of us, please keep it up, and enjoy, lefty.
Thanks! I’ve been shooting the Easton aluminum XX75 camo hunter arrows. They work pretty well, but most importantly they are heavy and cheap. Best of luck with the rest of your season, I hope you can get a chance at some porkers!!!!
Same with Jumper Creek. Plus, it floods crazily during bow season.
@@derrickray5464 the worst part of flooding is following the hog trail into sawgrass.
Gotta can't that thing😂 I got two 100 lb hogs with one arrow once. They were feeding towards each other and I released when their shoulders were in line. They only went 20 yards. I was using my 52# Black Widow PMA IRONWOOD. 2 blade broadheads.
Those Black Widows are nice! I have a black canyon bow on the way, can't wait to start shooting it!
Nicely done 🤙🏼
Thanks!
Congrats! More trad and plaid please:)
Trad and Plaid, that sounds like a new series to me!
I don't honestly see why that combo shouldn't work.
Flock shooting congratulations
Twang }}}----------------> Thap !!! Bowhunter !
Haha thanks. I love a good thap!!!
Can you recommend archery hunting spot in JAN to MAR nearby pensacola?
Sorry but I have not hunted in that area. Try finding a WMA somewhere near there through the FWC website
All I can tell you is anywhere 100 miles (approximately from Tampa, the hogs are way overpressured). Go North, or south, or over near Orlando/east coast. Richloam is overpressured with hinting dogs. And anything within 50 miles is overpressured (green swamp, etc). It's a bad joke trying to do this type of hunting from Tampa Bay area.
pretty wild and totally awesome. now you have no excuses to not bow hunt with that bow
Thanks. Still working on getting better with it, we will see how this season goes!
@@alexnicely8059 I have trouble with my compound only because I always shoot a little to the left. I got tags for deer for this season but will be using a rifle. Next season I might go for the bow. I'm impressed!
Y el otro cerdo?
I would’ve chanced it and went and got the other one too 😅
Haha I thought about it
Im gettin hungry😁🇺🇸
Mmmmm, smoked hams!
