@@gassedgarage3860 just had it friday, had her up and running today, wow totally different car, havent even took it over 2200k rpms cause need time to bed everything in as ive had engine down to bare block but can tell its a huge difference got so much more turbo noise now from the GTD1244vz hybrid. will have to get some miles done in it over the next few days 👌🏼
@@mrkane1897 you got the hybrid mate? The turbo sound with mine is very good to, its insane 😂
@@gassedgarage3860 yes hybrid GTD1244vz its sound is insane over stock noise, im even tempted to drive over to him after we are allowed to travel again and get him to do a live mapping on it, hes done great on mine and has talked me through a fair bit couldnt fault it.
@@mrkane1897 can you please leave me a link with a video of your turbo? Interested to see it, how it sounds like, how the car behaves and so on. Please.
Nice! Finally some video with this setup! Would you like to take 30-70 run? Or 30-90😁
*Mph or 50-150km/h😄😄😄
After MOT in a few months i'll do it
Nice
No smoke no poke.
Hi mate, awesome car there really fast and the power is usable. Would you mind if I contact you somewhere as i’m trying to do a similar build and want some info
Contact HDI tuning
Hello friend, how did you do to control the electronics of the turbo gtd? because as standard it is controlled by an electrovalve and the gtd has a connector with 3 cables. Thank you.
Contact HDI tuning UK for software, he can set up the VNT perfect. The 3 pin connector is not used.
where did u get the turbo gauge mount for the grille?
What catch can are you using?
What did you do to get the turbo to fit ie pipe work anything else?
Nothing straight bolt on you can use original pipe work
I drive with 2,3 bar boost
Is this on stock turbo ? And stock internals how can you push so much extra power ?
Stock internals. Gtd1244vz turbo
stock internals can handle up to around 230 i think
@@mrkane1897 Someone has 327bhp on stock internals, on their 1.6 tdci... and 402bhp forged...
@@RGD-Audio-Repairs where can I find this?
@@RGD-Audio-Repairscan I get some info on this too please?
Why is there no smoke? I mean, my standard 1.6TDCI with 90 horses leaves some puffs of black smoke lol
I don’t think that’s good mate, my 1.6tdci fiesta used to throw out black smoke until I figure out that a boost pipe was split before the intake, replaced the pipe and not only went better but no more black smoke
No smoke is good he can up power by adding more fuel air etc
Diesel smoke when mixture is too rich. Here we have big turbo providing good amount of boost so with correct fueling that's perfect. If your car smoke it means not enough boost (boost leaks, worn out turbo, wrong sensors, bad egr or too much carbon buildup in intake), leaking injectors or too rich engine fuel map
@@oluskloc I'm 100% I had no boost leaks (turbo made 1.1 - 1.2bar in load). I've changed injectors sealings (they were leaking before - still smoking tho).
My car has 290.000km right now, turbo has been changed at 230.000km. I'm using high quality engine oil and filters (LM Special Tec F, Ravenol FDS USVO and now Polytron which is my opinion is by far the best). I've tried to unplug the EGR connector - the car is smoking almost the same, but it has a better pedal response.
I've done a remap to ~120bhp, not tested yet. It smokes the same as standard (sometimes I see no smoke, sometimes I see alot of smoke).
Can you recommend me what to do next? I just want to have a "clean" car that doesn't smoke as hell.. I mean, no smoke means a healty engine..
@@unknown-hl4bjreplacing injectors sealings doesn't mean that your injectors doesn't leak or spray bad. On a budget side try to do some Liquy Moly diesel injector cleaning (not put to fuel tank just do as instructions on UA-cam), remove, clean and blank EGR for testing (cleaning might help but even that or as you tried unplugged one can stuck open some time under full throttle causing smoking). You can then leave egr blanked (it's just for emmisions) or replace it if it's the reason. You can do injectors leak off test and clean (or unplug for testing) MAF sensor). Check for boost leaking again because that's main reason of smoking even if everything is new. Unfortunately repairing diesel cars could be expensive but this you can try fairly easy and cheap. Also cleaning intake manifold can help but usually that's not main reason of smoke.
How do u pass MOT with blank/delete EGR ?
You have to know a guy 😅
Where did you get the 3.1 bar map sensor mate

Turbo stock or hybrid?
Stock gtd1244vz
What clutche you using
Stage 2 kevlar. But its slipping. Ive got a paddle clutch going in next week
@@gassedgarage3860 Let me know how you get on with the paddle clutch if you get the one from HDI, I find it feels like the clutch needs bleeding although i have done it 5+ times (very light) and a high biting point too
how come you used 279 injectors over 297s?
279 over 297? :p
@@gassedgarage3860 your description states you used 279 injectors, ive not heard of people using the 279's before, only seen 0445110297's being used
@@mrkane1897 My bad, i'm using 297. There are no 279. Good spot lol
@@gassedgarage3860 i did wonder as the only 279 injectors i can find are hyundai 😂
