Its very refreshing seeing a metro that isn't cookie cutter like most metros in the world and that's unique to the city as well as looking great and makes Brisbane less crappy looking with better stations. Can't wait for the project to be finished and other projects such as the Logan to gold coast faster rail project and this will certainly attract more tourism and train enthusiasts from all around the world while being effective and helping people get around Brisbane.
I believe that the Realignment of the Beenleigh line as part of the Gold Coast Fast Rail should be built as a Skyrail, similar to what Melbourne is Doing.
I come from Wales and I will say it looks so nice, I've been watching as it has been done and just so good Cross River Rail "I can't wait till the day comes and I'm back in Brisbane and use it' SO GOOD.
I ❤ Brisbane
You should Colour Code each station, to distinguish them apart from each other. This would make it a lot easier for dyslexic people to navigate the new rail system
Brilliant idea.
@@jayfielding1333 I suggested it to them and they are possibly going to paint indigenous art on the walls, as well in the Station colour.
@@jayfielding1333 i can give you an update, they came back and said that they will do it, however, it will be in different shades. I will be getting some credit for the idea
Nice
Cool
Let's hope there different floor tiles to Roma Street that are not sealed and already stained and there floor scrubbing machine can't clean them.
Can I suggest Colour coding each Underground station with Indigenous Art that mimics the area which each individual station serves. It would really help people with Disabilities, such as Dyslexia as well as tourists or foreigners who struggle to read English. It would also add Character to each station, as their current designs all look very bland and the same. I am that dude that emailed your team as well.
Cross river rail is a great initiative. But I can’t help but feel these designers are out of touch with what people truly want.
The quote “People in Brisbane aren’t used to an underground metro, so we wanted to make it a friendly space” treats locals like idiots.
What is friendly about this brutalist design with prefabricated material?
Wouldn’t a beautiful, traditionally Australian design be more welcoming than this?
i don't see it
im sure it will look better than it appears in the video but they seem terribly boring and dull - and absolutely nothing evocative of an Old Queenslander. Queensland is known for being bright and colourful and the choice not to use bold colours is disappointing.
I agree, what they showed in the video is just to give us a rough idea of what it eventually will look like.
I do feel quite certain that these station colours will be bright and colourful - not just bland.
@@Enthusiastic-Trainspotter-BNE well, i actually suggested colour coding each station with indigenous art and they replied, saying that they will actually seriously consider and even implement most of it. A few of the planners have even written that it is actually not that bad of an idea
@@electro_sykes good to know
@@Enthusiastic-Trainspotter-BNE Took them only a few months
@@electro_sykes okey dokey
