    Got one. Extremely handy and well built. Thick for great guide cuts. Stilleto never makes shit tools.

    Great video. I ordered the 7" square without the bubble. I will definitely appreciate the clearer/sharper images of the marks. Getting older sucks. PS, I ordered the 4.5" and received it today. It's definitely small and a bit overpriced. However, you get what you pay for.

      Yeah, I'm also a fan of easy to read markings, lol!

    I’d go for the smallest one for my needs. My projects are raised wood planters for growing veggies and flowers. Small stuff like that. The bubble level is handy but I can always reach for the one I already have.

      Good choice, that's a handy square for those types of projects.

    The best feature of the square is that it is made in the USA.

    4.5” trim square. My Milwaukee square will be a backup to the Stiletto.

      It might take awhile for these to be available in Australia, but that's a great idea to offer them in metric.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  10 місяців тому

      I haven't tried the Woodpecker brand of squares or looked at them too close. I do know they're premium in quality and made in the USA. From what I've seen, they're close in price or maybe a little more than Stiletto. I'd like to do a comparison sometime of the 4-1/2 square.

    Sounds like stiletto is in need of another mark Martinez. Prices are lower though! lol. Just glad there hammers have a replaceable grip now. Only problem now is the tb15 for any civil construction guys is they will wear the titanium claws of the hammers out quickly.

    U lost me at carpenters square. Brother u r pointing at a speed square. And yes this matters because apprentices these days don’t know what the tools are. I asked one to grab my framing square and he got my rafter square or the one foot “carpenter square”.
    Come on guys, our predecessors left us with awesome tools and they named them aptly. THERE IS NOT CARPENTER SQUARE.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Місяць тому

      Good point, I understand where you're coming from. I wanted to call this a speed square, but looked at the Stiletto website and they call it a carpenters square. I'm guessing that it's because Swanson has a trademark on the name.

    This square is way over priced. I bought one and the only reason was the bubble level feature of it but after checking the accuracy of the level found that is not accurate. So I took it back to the store and they ask for exchange. We tried all they had in stock and they were all the same so I got a refund. But such a waste of time and money when you think paying 120 canadian for this aluminum square.

      Yea. If every square in the store is off. Maybe just maybe it’s you. It’s almost impossible for a bubble to be wrong. I level can be bent and not be true but a bubble is always g2g

      @tysisnice Місяць тому

      My trigjig squares bubble is slightly off too. I took it apart and realized it's the bubble. Btw It IS possible for the bubble to be out, or at the very least the lines on the bubble arent evenly spaced. It's disappointing for sure especially after spending so much on a damn square
